Clickmagick will delete your tracking links without warning! Not trustworthy (and they are one of the most expensive tracking services). Luckily, we never send traffic directly to a tracking link. We always use redirects. FB and google may unmask a redirect, but I can keep track of what tracking links we've made by just looking at the redirects, which are clearly keyed for what they are tracking. This practice came in handy recently when clickmagick ARBITRARILY CANCELED OUR ACCOUNT AND ALL OF OUR LINKS WITHOUT WARNING! "Why," you might ask? - Because I complained about a predatory practice of theirs! In the morning, I had asked for the clickmagick account to be paused. Waited for a couple of hours watching for their response, then had to move on to something else. The billing page had indicated the next monthly charge would happen at 2:54pm or something like that, but I had already asked for it to be paused and figured if they had that option, they would do it. Nope! Turns out they DO have the pause option, but you have to first click "Continue" multiple times on the "Cancel account" pages, demonstrating a persistent intention to completely cancel your account while knowing that you will lose all of your links and settings. It is ONLY THEN - at the very end of this process, when they conceivably might lose your money for good - that you are presented with the option to pause the account! Prior to that, a message pops up from "Patrick, founder of Clickmagick." He states that he and his team "...won't rest until... all your issues are resolved." I took this bait and clicked on the VIP Support button. That's when I asked them to pause the account (the obvious reason being for preservation of our links/settings). I wasn't sure if it was an option at the time. Then I saw their email several hours later stating that it "Should have been the next step in the cancelling process to allow you to pause the account." So, instead of pausing the account as I'd requested that morning, they'd charged me $169 for the next month! Needless to say, having seen their email too late in which they revealed that pausing IS an option if you know the secret path, I was ticked - and I let them know! This garnered an email from the support manager wherein he stated that he had completely canceled our account. He was intellectually dishonest, attempting to sound like he was doing us a favor because they refunded the monthly charge. But he knew full well what he was doing. If clickmagick were actually trying to demonstrate concern, integrity, or rapport with a customer, they could have PAUSED the account as requested. But this bizarre vindictive action was more important to them. They do not keep their promise that they "won't rest until all your... issues are resolved." I updated the support ticket and also sent a ticket via their chatbot requesting to speak to a supervisor after all that. They chose not to respond. Update (4/24/25): If anyone should know about being unprofessional, it's the clickmagick support manager! As you have admitted in response to this review, you canceled the account to punish me for including "WTF" in my response to your shenanigans. Few companies are so full of themselves as to take that so personally that they would respond vindictively as you did. There is nothing "clearly outlined" prior to someone beginning the "cancel account" process. In the middle of that, your message pops up encouraging the seeking of "VIP Support" instead of canceling - NOT revealing the option to pause. You've also confirmed your intellectual dishonesty by describing the REAL reason you canceled the account so arbitrarily without asking - instead of the verbose description that your email offered, describing what the clickmagick service is and asserting what is "the better option for [our] circumstance," refunding the charge in order to be able to cancel our account, and saying you "apologize for any confusion." But you knew EXACTLY what you were actually doing, as you have now admitted. Also, my exact words (sarcastic) were that I was too dumb to figure out the answer to my own question in time (before getting charged by you a few hours later). And, I did not "wait until" anything. I simply got derailed by your company's little retention game while there was plenty of time for them to have fulfilled my "VIP Support" request that day. Yes, I "can't afford" to get pointlessly charged for a high-dollar service that I was trying to pause and not using at the time. Only someone with an agenda like yours, would try to spin that into some pejorative definition of "our circumstance." You don't know squat about "our circumstance," much less professional standards for interacting with customers. You are a business; customers are not your "professional" colleagues.
Response from ClickMagickApr 21, 2025
I'm sorry but this is just completely unreasonable. Our billing, cancellation and account pause policies are all clearly outlined in our help material. The only problem is that you can't afford ClickMagick as you admitted to us, and you waited until the very last minute to attempt to pause or cancel, but as you also said yourself you were "too dumb to figure out how to do it in time." (your words, not mine) That's all fine and dandy and we were happy to help, but then you became extremely rude and unprofessional saying things like "WTF!" and going off on my support team. Once you do that the relationship is over as we do not do business with people who are rude and unprofessional.

Very poor experience. Started with them, did onboarding. Stuff seemed good but then tracking wasn't working. They claim "fanatical support" but we were left hours on hold waiting despite their promised 18 hours per day availability. It's a shame I can't upload images of the conversations going on... And then instead of fixing things and maybe actually helping correct the poor experience, they banned us from the platform. Joke of a company. Patrick Kelly should be ashamed by their practices
