Great promotion rate, then the renewal rate was much higher than most. the default rate of $.14/kilowatt was outrageous! Slamming, I believe they call it! Sad commentary for a "Clean Choice" company. Won't get fooled again, I hope!

I am sorry to hear that your experience with our company has not been a positive one, as this is never the experience we wish for you to have. Our records indicate that you signed up for a 12 month fixed promotional rate, which was ending. As per your terms and conditions, we mailed out a renewal offer to you for review (prior to contract expiration), should you wish to remain with CleanChoice for another 12 months. Your renewal offer included a price difference of $0.03 cents per kWh, making your renewal price $0.084 per kWh, and not the $0.14 as claimed. We are happy to provide you with an additional copy of your renewal offer for your records. We do receive new rate plans every month, based on the market, and are always available to review plan options with our customers at any time. Please note, slamming is defined as the instance in which a customer is enrolled in something without their authorization. At no time did this take place, and any instances of this would not apply. Your initial 12 month enrollment was completed by you online, and the corresponding terms and conditions were mailed at the beginning of your service. As your current contract was coming to an end, and the agreed upon price for 12 months was expiring, a renewal offer was required to be sent. This offer may be accepted or rejected, with no commitment. A review of your account also reflects you were able to speak to our customer experience team to successfully resolve your issue.
