absolutely rotten company. Without any communication and without any reason my health insurance was cancelled. And the premium payed back onto my creditcard. Communication with the helpdesks was a complete disaster. The callcenters for Europe are based in the UK. And I have never spoken to such utterly miserable and unhappy representatives ever. Obviously their working conditions must be terrible. Also they could not explain what happened to my insurance. I am now with Allianz. The experience was a 180 degrees change. God forbid that had not cancelled my insurance and I would have trusted these people to handle my insurance were I to fall ill. Please do yourself a favor and look for an alternative.

I’ve loved Cigna until I had to call their customer service. I’ve been on hold for 2.5 hours!!! And am still on hold!! Sad part is, I was receiving a prescription that is paid for by the supplier as long as Cigna approved it. They just decided to deny it and have sent me no reason why. Since it’s paid for by the supplier, there is no record of it on the website for me to question the denial through the system. Unbelievable

While Cigna does a good job electronically following up with customers (all automatic--no human behind it) and offering services that do not involve human contact, had I not gone to an alternate advocate to get healthcare, Cigna's treatment of me could have resulted in me being hospitalized or worse, as they REFUSED to assist me in getting the care I needed. Their "advocate" Sarah told me, "You will just have to wait" to be seen by a doctor, while Kay, who promised twice that she would get back to me to ensure I would get the care I needed, dropped the ball and never got back to me. Thank God my workplace has an alternate company that can advocate for employees; they did Cigna's job and found care for me. Without getting into details, one of my issues was borderline disastrous and caught just in time. SHAME on Cigna.

I was prescribed ear drop anti biotics and they DENIED the medicine. I've had this infection longer than 2 weeks now, first I took oral meds which didn't work. I pay over one thousand dollars per month and my insurance company says NO. I would like to warn everyone do not get CIGNA!

If I could give this company a ZERO I would. Customer service doesn’t exist there, people are confused, have no idea what the are doing. They give you a run around and transfer you to someone else to brush you off. Wrong information is being provided to get you into buying the policy and after you are in, nothing is covered as promises. Horrible company, STAY AWAY!!!!!

What a joke! I have been dealing with claims from August, after many phone calls and an appeal process NOTHING has been resolved except a collection notice from the provider. I have called more than 5 times since my Appeal approved letter on Nov 8th, to be told everything was being done, hours reading over notes, supposedly resubmitting claims, all to find out the person before did NOTHING. Today, is the 10th day from my last call that the claims were resubmitted and guess what?? I was told that the claim decision was upheld on 12/1. I was never told of this decision in my 5+ calls and do not show anywhere a change in the claim processed date. If a claim has been reversed and resubmitted, wouldn't there be a new claim? I was sent to collections in January. This whole collection process could have been avoided if I was told during ANY of my calls to Cigna, that this was decided on 12/1. I would have paid the bills, but I was under the impression, given to me by multiple people at cigna, that everything was still in the process of being resubmitted. Such a WASTE OF MY TIME, dealing with this company! I will be filing a complaint with the Department of Insurance!

The employees violate HIPAA rules and regulations, and all without any consequences. Cigna looks into their complaints internally and guess what - nobody is ever wrong!! A very seedy business.

I had an amazing customer care by Gavin Gray! The processes themselves took some time internally but Gavin was very helpful and patient and helped me speed the process and show genuine care and help. (this is cigna based in uk)
