I attempted to make reservations for the Marriott Residents Inn in Jonesboro, AR for 2 rooms. Upon making the reservations the reservation date was changed to the date for the reservations being made. I call for help with the reservations line and was told that the reservations could not be changed since the date the reservations was made was the date of the reservations. i have talked with customer support and the representative did not speak clear english or the representative did not have the authority to make changes to the reservations. I ask for a refund and was told it was not possible. I was told I would have to speak with the Residents Inn and ask for a refund. The corporate website is of not assistance as they do not answer the phone line and the email addresses for corporate leadership errors out. Choice Hotels stole money and I find it hard to understand why this business is still operating. Looking at other review I understand the poor ratings

Se potessi darei zero stelle, ho fatto una prenotazione di un hotel loro associato (Econo lodge) 6 mesi fa, oggi a distanza di pochissimi giorni dalla data di pernotto mi comunicano che l'hotel non è più associato e quindi non possono garantirmi la prenotazione nè tanto meno cancellarla. Il mio profilo del loro sito restituisce degli errori e non mi fa cancellare la prenotazione. La loro assistenza mi dice che non riescono a contattare l'hotel ma nel web l'indirizzo email dell'Econo lodge corrisponde a Choice! In pratica una truffa: non posso cancellare e non posso sapere se la prenotazione è valida. Certo se vedrò arrivare sulla mia carta anche un solo cent di addebito andrò per vie legali. Io voglio poter cancellare la prenotazione e non aver mai più a che fare con loro

My family of 45 booked The Sleep Inn in Austinburg near Ohio I 90 and Ashtabula. It was our 2nd reunion. We have already begun planning our 3rd. We chose Geneva on the Lake year one. We chose that particular Sleep Inn the second year because of Bhavin Patel and his staff. When I say I have never experienced such service, accomodations and welcome... I am serious. We spanned five generations from 92 to 3. Bhavin and his staff arranged and rearranged rooms, hauled tables and chairs for an outdoor picnic, opened the breakfast room for us to gather and recommended local restaurants, wineries and shops. A vacation can be hectic, stressful and ruined by pettiness. Not ours. It was perfect. Thank You to Bhavin, Steve and the staff . See you in 2024

I had made a prepaid reservation through AARP - Expedia for one night at a Quality Inn in Booneville, Missouri. On arriving we were told the hotel had no hot water and had no idea when it would be repaired. I asked if we could cancel the reservation and still receive a refund even though we were already past the cutoff for receiving a refund. The desk manager said that would be no problem, and they would even call Expedia to waive the no refund rule. So we called AARP - Expedia and cancelled the reservation, and found another hotel. Long story short, Quality Inn NEVER called Expedia, nor will the answer calls or emails sent from Expedia. Expedia has now told me "Sorry, they won't respond, there's nothing else we can do." I called Choice Hotels customer service and their response was "You'll have to get the refund from the hotel itself." Good luck with that. In the future I will avoid Choice Hotels like the plague.

Horrible customer service. Both at the property and the customer service phone line. NO HELP AT ALL!!!! Much better options for the price.

Room ‘details’ were false on the website, (full kitchen, coffee machine NOT) My query, emailed when I saw this, went unanswered. Reception was not open at 2pm. Door opened late for me to be told the gate to car park would not open, and I would be called when it was fixed. I sat in my car and waited. I was called as advised. Checked in finally. Ordered room service later but reception staff could not answer my question re the menu. Dinner arrived rather ordinary compared to previous stay. Checking out? Not staffed as advertised. Very confused (outdated?) instructions on wall ((pick up the phone - no phone there) I wanted to pay personally for dinner and room bar and receive receipt but had no option but to leave. I had told the reception staff I would do this and was not informed that I could not. This is not how the hotel was originally. The room is obviously deteriorating as are managerial services. Great location poorly managed now.

Comfort Inn Cambridge, Ohio is a joke. avoid at all cost. They advertise a pool and a hot tub but they are both closed and have been for many months. Our bathroom was filthy. The bathtub actually had holes in it, the wallpaper was peeling, the doorknob had a brown layer of crud on it. Very unhappy that this hotel cheated me.

Appalling conditions at Econo Lodge in Birmingham, AL (which has since closed) - dirty, roaches, holes in floor & walls, torn sheets, no ice, locked lobby. Outdated & misleading info on Choice hotel site. And even worse was the response from Choice corporate "customer care" office - they won't set or enforce minimum standards on hotels, don't care about misleading web info, and won't allow all paying customers to post reviews.
