Those of you reading these reviews should keep in mind that the vast majority of customers of any business - the silent majority - do not bother to post reviews. I have used ChiChats for my business for 8 years. They have rescued my small business and I have saved literally thousands of dollars compared to what I used to pay with Canada Post. In terms of reliability, I would say they are better than Canada Post - fewer lost packages and good, friendly client support. I don't have much experience with other courier companies but I am very satisfied with ChitChats and highly recommend them.

DO NOT USE CHIT CHAT - FRAUD!
DO NOT USE CHIT CHAT
YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SHIPMENT
Fraudulent company ! Buyer Beware! Read whole review! Scam/ Illegal behaviour from company.
They have zero back end accountability and if you read the other reviews, i'm sad to say I had the same experience. Lost a package with zero explanation and zero reason. $200 gone into thin air and they try to blame me the customer who did only the required steps and dropped the package off.
I'm 90% sure a post employee on Chit Chat behalf or one of their third party final mile carriers
Please use canada post, fedex, puralator or any trusted mailing service instead of this DEEPLY FRAUDULENT and BORDERLINE CRIMINAL company that will without a doubt LOSE ANYTHING you give them. So wrong please stay away from this company to preserve your belongings.

Chit Chats is a reliable shipping company.
I have been using Chit Chats for my business for quite a few years now. NOT once have they ever lost a package of mine when transferring the package from Canada to USPS in Washington State. They have been a real game changer for providing affordable fast shipping for Canadians.
I have been reading recent 2025 reviews left for Chit Chats and people don't seem to understand that US Customs has made a lot of changes this year and they keep changing requirements to ship parcels into the US and they are enforcing them. It is not Chit Chats delaying packages, it is because people are not filling out Customs forms and labelling products correctly, and the shipment is being refused by US Customs. When this happens it delays all shipments in that truck and then Chit Chats has to go through every single package to make sure people have attached a label with the Country of Origin right on to the item itself correctly, and marked the Country of Origin and the correct tariff codes for each item on the paper work.
There is also issues with CARM right now on returns coming back into Canada with Chit Chats and other carriers since it came into full effect with Canada Customs. This issue is being caused by CARM and not Chit Chats. We can not ship as we use to anymore, it has gotten way more complicated. People need to keep up with the changing requirements on both sides of the border and stop blaming Chit Chats.
Chit Chats has supplied all the information to their customers so that they can comply with changing US Customs requirements. You can't even walk into a Chit Chats without seeing it posted on their front door and there is plently of information on their website including videos explaining everything.

Package not delivered
Package not delivered. They didn't even have my address, just the city on the tracking. If you don't want to receive your package, this is the shipping company for you.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
If I could give a negative rating I would. They have no idea where my shipment is, will not provide me with a phone number or extension to reach a live person, the "manager" Saraath sends formula emails (boiler plate without even my name). VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. I've used them for more than a decade but over the last few years they have gone downhill in a big way.

I don’t recommend
I decided to use Chit Chats during the Canada Post strike last year, hoping it would be a reliable alternative for shipping my small business orders. Since there’s no Chit Chats location in Moncton, I had to use Maritime Bus to get my packages to Nova Scotia, which added time and cost to the process. Unfortunately, some of my packages got lost along the way and I had to refund my customers. It was a stressful experience, but at the time, it was the only option I had.
Fast forward to May 2025, when Canada Post was again threatening to strike, I decided to give Chit Chats another try, thinking maybe my poor experience last year was just due to the busy holiday season. Sadly, things were even worse this time.
Chit Chats held onto my packages for more than two weeks and is now sending them back to me because the labels didn’t include the country of origin — even though I printed the labels directly from their website. While they do mention that the country of origin must be included, there are no clear instructions on how or where to add it. I had even spoken with their team on the phone and provided the country of origin verbally (Canada), so I assumed things were in order.
To make things worse, I now have to pay to get my own packages returned — after already paying Maritime Bus and Chit Chats to send them in the first place. So not only are my customers facing major delays, but I’m also spending three times more than I would have with Canada Post, just to have the packages sent back to me.
I suggested to the person I spoke with on the phone that they should include a mandatory field for the country of origin when generating the shipping label. This simple fix could save many small business owners from similar issues.
As a small business in Canada, we already have limited affordable shipping options. I had hoped Chit Chats would be a viable solution, but after two disappointing experiences, I can no longer trust them with my business. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with lost packages, added costs, and unhappy customers — especially when all of it could have been avoided with clearer guidance and better systems.
To other small business owners: be very cautious when using Chit Chats. Unfortunately, I won’t be using their services again.

We shipped 93 packages...and only 4 were successfully delivered.
3 we're returned. Which means 87 packages disappeared with no explanation.
And their support people had no answers or solutions for us. They basically said sorry and to go through insurance for the missing product.
I can't believe this company is still in business

The worst shipping company I’ve ever used for business
The worst shipping company I’ve ever used. Lost 5 packages in months, and even I had purchased insurance, I still did not received the reimbursement. Terrible with advice and don’t know what they are doing. Not for business for sure.
