Their ordering process is easy enough, nothing special prices inline with Amazon. It’s the return process that’s a hot mess! You have to send them a message or call them. I shouldn’t have to explain to anyone why I need to return an item (it comes with online orders). Additionally, their app doesn’t provide all the info that their website does (FAQs) nor does it even reference the return policy.
This is why I’d rather order from Amazon.

good company with bad shipping options
good company, good prices, but I need a choice other than Fedex for delivery since they are horrible in my area

Ordered some heartworm pills for our 2…
Ordered some heartworm pills for our 2 dogs, and they took quite awhile to check with our vet. I thought the pills would come in a few days, but it took much longer.

They sucked me in with a $20 off email
They sucked me in with a $20 off email, but when I ordered and entered the promo code it wouldn't work. I let customer service know I was unhappy so they said if I re-ordered the whole thing they'd give me the discount. After all the back and forth I told them to just send me a gift card or something as I was tired of dealing with it. If they do, I'll use it, if they don't, I won't order from them again.

Don't expect delivery to house door
Delivered package to the front of my garage. I could not get it to my door because of back fusion/injury. I called and found out the front porch is a special request. Target ALWAYS delivers to my front door and sells the same Purina products. I will keep using Target instead of Chewy.

Shipping fees vs. Buying local...
I ordered a couple pet beds today. Then saw they had Fresh Pet food which we get locally. Wanted to set up an auto-delivery for the version that comes in a bag. Its priced at 41.75 with auto-ship discount. This is roughly equal to what I get locally. BUT, shipping only goes away at $49.00 orders. So I'd have to pay 4.95ish (can't remember but in ballpark) extra to ship. Why do that? Not worth paying an extra 5 bucks to not get it when I make my Walmart run. Bad idea Chewy. You lost an auto-ship that could run for years over five dollars you apparently waste on shipping materials anyway according to other reviews. Pay attention folks, shipping is now making online purchases prohibitive.

Very disappointed with Chewy
Very disappointed in this company with my last couple of orders. I received a product in a box 3x the necessary size and stuffed with almost 20 yards of brown paper. Besides being environmentally irresponsible, it leaves me with a roomful of paper and a massive box I need to get rid of. Likely won't order from here anymore.

Is this company for real???
UPDATE: So the gift certificate didn't arrive as promised on Christmas day. I called today 12/26/22 to inquire as to it's whereabouts and was greeted by a nice gentleman who told me there seemed to be a payment hold on PayPal's end. So, I checked with PayPal and learned that authorization had indeed been granted on the date I ordered the card and they (PayPal) were waiting for Chewy to process it so payment could be rendered.
The gentleman told me to hold and he would get a supervisor on the line to straighten things out. After 5 minutes or so of listening to repeated ads, the line went dead. As Chewy had my phone number, I expected and waited for a return call. Guess what? It never happened!
Several hours later I received another email stating that I again needed to call Chewy to verify my order!!! You can't make this stuff up! This company is a total joke!!!
Called once again and spoke with a representative who wanted to transfer me to a supervisor. Thankfully this time, I was connected with someone, and after once again verifying my information, I was assured that the gift card would be received sometime today. I have since received an email from Chewy saying that the eCard has been sent but I haven't yet been able to verify this with my daughter.
My advice still stands, stay away from this company. There are enough horror stories to warrant seeking an alternative, and there are plenty of them.
My Story: Created account to send my daughter an emailed gift card as a Christmas gift, that is to be sent to her on Christmas Day, as a surprise (Hopefully it gets to her!). Payment was made via Paypal and processed immediately according to my bank, yet I received an email from the company stating I needed to call about my order.
Called this morning and spoke with a young lady who was very matter of fact, not warm or friendly (in my opinion) yet professional, right up until the point she hung up on me, apparently because she didn't want to hear my rant any longer. I was not rude, I didn't use foul language and even apologized for taking my frustration out on her for needing to take valuable time out of my work schedule to "process" an order that apparently had already been processed (again, according to my bank). Of course, she didn't hear that apology because she had already, unbeknownst to me, hung up!
There is absolutely no reason that I should have to create an account, provide personal information (name, email address, etc.) so that I can be added to an email list that they may then sell to other companies, so I can be inundated with spam, all to provide an emailed gift card to my daughter who for some reason has chosen to utilize their services. The amount of the card was not huge and should not have been viewed as a fraud risk since the payment was PayPal verified. I should have been able to accomplish this simply as a guest, as many, many other internet-based companies do.
My experience with the company, to say the least, has been unfortunate. And I encourage folks to research other services of this type rather than give Chewy the benefit of your business.
