Chewy.com constantly goes above and beyond. Though I really try to shop at my local brick-and-mortar local small-business pet supply stores, I inevitably have to put routine orders in online. Chewy.com has been my online go-to since 2016, and they've always been reliable. The customer service is some of the best out there right now. Update in 2026: I'm sad to have to come back and knock off a star. Overall, I have been very happy with Chewy. However, recently, I noticed a huge price discrepancy in a life-saving medicine I'd been getting from them versus a local store. When I reached out to customer service to notify them of this sizable price difference and ask if they offer price-matching, they simply apologized and said no. I think this is pretty unacceptable, to be honest. It feels like a rip-off, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth about a company that I otherwise really appreciate.

So this was a very strange situation. I’ve ordered from Chewy once before, many years ago but usually I just buy stuff in person. However, now my cats need expensive microchip feeders so the best place to get them was from Chewy. I placed the order and my credit card company denied it at first but when I confirmed it was me they let the purchase go through. Chewy, on the other hand, did not. They wanted to confirm that my account was actually me and made me call them to confirm my identity. I did that, but that still wasn’t enough and I had to call AGAIN and go through the whole process again. I was so mad, I just wanted to get my order. All of that being said, every single person I spoke with at Chewy was beyond sweet. They were very understanding of my situation and went above and beyond to help me. It’s impossible to be upset when everyone I spoke with did their best to help me and make sure I get my order. I’ve worked in customer service, I get it that some things are out of their hands, and they still did everything in their power to help me. I’m deeply grateful.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is their terrible app! It constantly glitches, redirects, and sometimes the screen just goes black. The service from Chewy however, is awesome! The orders are correct and they arrive on time. If there is any problem, damages for example, you call customer service, get a live native English speaker within a few minutes! They may ask you to email pictures, you can’t blame them these days, but they make it right immediately! We’ve been using them for a few years now and we’re so spoiled I think we’d be lost without them.. lol. Just PPLLEASEEE FIX THE APP CHEWY! 🤷🏻‍♀️😁

I recently submitted an order with Chewy. When my package arrived, the litter I ordered had spilled out all over the box. I sent Chewy an email requesting a replacement or refund. They responded quickly and immediately replaced the product. While it was frustrating cleaning up the mess, I appreciated the excellent customer service and response time.

I am known to spend up to $600 a month depending on the season. Everything about Chewy is great except 2 things The online or app shopping is very slow and shipping boxes that come are too heavy. Id prefer them to be lighter by not packing them with so much in one box. I'm sure my Fed Ex delivery drivers aren't happy about that too, as my deliveries usually come later in the day and these guys are at the end of their shifts. They are always professional either way. And I do love getting deals at Chewy.

Overall I enjoy my experience with Chewy. They treat my animals well, ship quick and are pretty awesome to deal with! Will keep doing business with them!
