I ordered wet dog food and it arrived 2 days later.. Unfortunately I wasn't home at delivery, they left the package outside. I live in AZ and it's 100 degrees outside. Imagine what's happen to the dogfood when it sits in the heat for a couple of hours. They could have packed it in dry ice. The food ended up in the trash, I will never order from this company again.

It all seems great at first....good pricing, free shipping...then all of a sudden you're paying 20+% higher than your initial order! And yes this is real cost, not with the autoship incentives. Their excuse is that prices fluctuate daily - however the price is always quite lower than what it shipped at. I would say its more like the prices fluctuate the moment prior to autoship orders go out, then in a miraculous twist of fate the "market" shifts and prices go from $52 to $42 again. Pretty shady if you ask me.

I am in the middle of a move so delivery of product was of the utmost importance. I called to place order as I want assurance from a person order would ship same day as placed. Placed the order on the 20th at 11 AM and was told 4PM was cut off time for same day ship. It is now the 22nd and the order still has not shipped. As I waited for tracking info I called to confirm and was told it had not but a label had been created. They explained that sometimes large orders take longer to pull and get ready to ship. This is a one product order that requires no repacking as it is shipped in original packaging, all you have to do is print label and stick it on so I am a little confused as to why they could not fullfull. Disappointed to say the least as I am moving and will not be here to accept.

I should have known Chewy.com would turn out to be dishonest when when I saw that they ripped off their entire website from Amazon. I placed an order with Chewy.com based on their advertised 1-2 day shipping. After I placed my order, I received an email asking me to call to verify the order. When I called, they asked me what I ordered, and what my phone number and address were on the order. So basically if you're a thief, all you have to do is repeat to them what you put on the order and you're all good. Then I got an email letting me know that one of the items isn't in stock in the warehouse closest to me, so it would be shipping from the other side of the country and won't arrive until next week. So much for the 1-2 day shipping. At this point I called, and found out that they use software to see your phone number even if your phone is set to block your number (like mine is). The first guy I talked to tried to tell me he couldn't cancel part of my order because it would make Fedex re-route the entire order. Makes no sense since it's shipping under a different tracking number, from a different state. The next guy couldn't offer a reasonable explanation for the order verification call, and when I asked what happened to the 1-2 day shipping, he said "well if you click on that it says 'most orders' ship via 1-2 day shipping." i.e. it's a scam to draw you in. Doesn't say "click here for more details", and doesn't have an asterisk indicating there are exceptions. I cancelled the whole order and will shop elsewhere.

Chewy has a good selection at reasonable prices BUT I cannot depend on them keeping the food I buy in their inventory. It will be there for months and all of the sudden it is gone ( Not Out Of Stock ) and discontinued although they have every other brand the company makes, which is several. They never give a straight answer as to why it was discontinued or if they will start selling it again. There customer service is well trained at " beating around the bush " and not answering specific questions with a specific answer. This is the 2nd time this has happened only with a different product. It has become obvious they are hit or miss on what they choose to carry. This is a very popular 4-5 star food made by a 5 star company so they aren't discontinuing because of a poor product that doesn't sell. They just flat can't be depended on to consistently have the same items just as little as one month. I may have to pay more to buy at Amazon but at least I know when I go to order it will be there to order every single time. A company I can not depend on is not going to keep or get my business.

I have been on auto shipment for Q10 supplement since April 2015. Two shipments arrived without any problems for the advertised price of $63.60. However, Chewy doubled the price for the third shipment without any warning and charged me $133. The shipment arrived without a receipt with a new doubled price, so it took me several days to catch this glitch. I called Chewy, and even though they agreed to refund the difference back to my account, I felt that it's not a good practice to increase the price 100% without any warnings on auto shipments. I would not give Chewy more than 2 stars.

ORDER #3638573 placed 5/29/14 I've been ordering cat food from Chewy.com on auto ship since November, 2013. Recently within 2 months time they raised the price of this food $5/bag. The price increase did not make me happy but what really didn't impress me was that, after several emails back and forth with "customer service" telling me they would pass my concern on to the right people, I still had no answer as to why the huge price increase. On June 16, 2014, I mailed a letter to the Chief Executive Officer and also to their marketing department, asking why the sudden price increase, thinking they might care about their customers. As of today, June 29, 2014, I have received no response. A company that cared about their customers would find 5 minutes to make a call, send an email or write a letter. Apparently they don't care.

Shipping policy on their website states that most customers receive their order within 1-2 days after placing their order. This is very misleading and should read that orders may be received within 1-7 days. Or have a map with delivery estimates based on location. I live in CA and I placed my first ever order on 4/8 based on the premise that I would most likely receive it within 1-2 days as their website says. Instead I have to wait 7 days (tracking says it should come tomorrow, 4/15); in the meantime I've had to go buy dog food at the store since I've run out while waiting for my order to arrive. Really defeats the "convenience" of ordering online.
