(Actually, Chewy DID have the lowest prices when I switched to them last year, but every renewal their price went up and up, until they were no longer the least expensive) Allivet offers it for significantly less, and Chewy will NOT price-match. Like others, have ordered products through Chewy, including some requiring rx (flea meds) and been very happy with turnaround time in receiving. Yesterday ordered rx for a cancer med vet recommended on the preceding afternoon (was already out of office). Thought Chewys turnaround/home delivery would be efficient and easier. Let vet office know they would be contacted by Chewy for rx which vet office tells was approved and returned that same morning (before noon). Checked order all throughout today, states “pending shipment“ constantly. Called Chewy today at 430-5pm after confirming rx approved with vet as above. Was told wouldn’t be processed/shipped until at least Monday as pharmacist needed to review. I find that waiting more than 24 hrs for pharmacist review, esp for a cancer med or antibiotic or even heart med is excessive when time is of the essence for the condition needing treatment. Human meds dont take that long to prepare if in stock(that was not an issue). Ended up canceling rx and having vet order through his channels instead. Very disappointed. Forgot that CS rep also initially told me that Chewy had been trying to contact me to confirm address. I do believe she was trying to imply that this was part of the delay however, I advised her that 1) I received no calls from Chewy, and 2) I had already confirmed my address as part of the ordering process. She then got a bit defensive saying that she didn’t state that this was the reason for the delay.

Chewy is convenient yes, because shopping online seems easier than trying to carry that 40 pound bag of dog food in and out of the store and then into your home, but it takes way to long to get what you order. I have not been able to get my auto ship order to sinc with my animals needs because It’s always takes at least a week to get the order once it’s been shipped, sometimes longer. Not to mention, once it’s delivered, it’s always thrown everywhere. I haven’t had 1 delivery that was pleasant. I just decided to stop using chewy and continue to buy from the store because since I’ve been using chewy, it hasn’t been anything but a hassle and let down.

Recently wrote chewy.com my thoughts... I can't tell you how disappointed I am with your company. Chewy.com When I trust a company with my credit card information and I allow that company to auto-ship an order to me...I expect that company to advise or notify me if the price if an item on my auto-ship goes up in price. Apoquel is used for my dogs allergy issues. By looking at my past orders I see where each apoquel tablet went from $1.64 to $2.29. I order a hundred of these pills in each order. The price increase is significant. No notification was provided to me allowing me the option to stop the order. I have now stopped it myself. I have no trust in chewy.com and I will do my best to make my opinion heard. Too many companies want your payment information and then hope the customer doesn't pay attention or notice when price increases are applied. I thought you guys would be better than that.

Very poor shipping practices I have been a Chewy.com customer since 2018 and have contacted them directly regarding their shipping practices. When their warehouse packs their boxes, they do not use enough packing materials to protect the products. Case in point - today I received my most recent order - 2 boxes of cat litter, 2 boxes of catbox deodorizer and 1 bag of cat food. The box was crushed when delivered, the cat litter crushed the catbox deodorizer and resulted in spilled content on everything in the box. Unfortunately, in an effort to reduce their carbon pawprint (as stated on the box) they are sacrificing product and customer goodwill. I will definitely limit my purchases to protect the items I do buy.

Chewy's 1-2 day shipping guarantee is not dependable. My last two orders have been delayed. They also have an issue with packaging. My last order came in severely broken up and they had to replace 4 items requiring more wait time. I tried them again and am once again disappointed. My order is delayed. Buyer beware.

I purchase an item on Chewy for over $49 with warranty shipping of 1-2 days. My order will be deliver in a week. You won’t get your order on a few days if it ships from a further houseware. My order comes from Fl and I am in NY.....not that far but for them seems to be. That should be clarify on the shipping info that is 1 to whatever days it takes.

Prescriptions are beyond slow! I'm very happy with pet supply deliveries but you really need to go somewhere else for pet medications. Like another reviewer has said, the prescription order is placed on 'preparing for shipment' for 3 days and when you call them they tell you it's coming from a warehouse that's in another state. What's even more annoying is they tried to tell me they're still waiting for vet approval. When I told them my vet is open until midnight they apologised and said they already have approval and I should call them back if it's not shipped in 2 days. If that happens I'll be looking at 5 days of preparing for shipment and then still waiting a couple of more days for delivery. Turn around time would be 7 days! That's not acceptable for a prescription order that I need right away for my dying cat. Deeply disappointed with Chewy on this!
