I ordered things for my puppy online and it was going to take over a week to arrive, considering we’re in the middle of a Pandemic I was ok with the package arriving later. Well the date came for my package to arrive and it was still in another state. I contacted Chewy to see what was going on and when woman informed me that my package shouldn’t have taken any longer than 3-4 days to arrive. She was nice enough to resend my things and said it should arrive in no later than 4 days.... ITS BEEN 6 now and still no package again! Not to mention the original package never left that state (GA and I’m in CA). I’m not going to order anything from them again, I’ll just go to PetSmart from now on.

I’ve ordered from them for many years. If you need something other than prescriptions, they are great. On my last prescription order for heart guard medicine, they drug their feet on shipping it. It got past time for my dog to have her pill so I called them. They said they were having trouble gettting in touch with my vet. So I call my vet and they pull the chart. No...they had records of faxing the prescription on the 12th. They say they have had this problem a lot with Chewy. So they relax it on the 15th. On the 17th, I follow up because it still hasn’t shipped. They say they are so sorry and that they’ll pay for me to go by my vet...an hour away...to get a single dose since she’s past due. Well, my vet doesn’t have a single dose. So I call them back on the 18th. They’ll get it out right away and take 20% off my order. And ship it overnight. On the 19th, I check online. It went regular shipping and they didn’t take 20% off. Look, I get people are behind due to COVID BUT they lied and blamed another company, my Vet’s office, for the delay. Not cool. When that was proven to be false, they offered to make it right with the discount and expedited shipping and then didn’t do what they say. Another company without a conscience. Well, they’ve lost a long time customer and will keep on with their current tactics.

I purchased my cat food from these guys for years. I switched though when I found a local pet supply place that sold it for far cheaper. And they also have a promotion where when I buy a certain amount of cases I get another case free so it's a lot cheaper in the long run. (And it's not a promo that has expired since; been doing that for over 2 years now and have gotten many free cases of cat food.) The reason I leave a review today is now for the umpteenth time I have ordered something expected it to be delivered and it's not here. I understand that we are in a pendemic situation but you shouldn't tell your customers that in this pandemic situation that their package will be shipped / delivered in 1 to 3 business days and then leave them sitting there waiting for almost 7 full business days now. One last thing that I feel I need to say is that ever since I started seeing commercials for chewy on TV and I started to see the company grow I had a fear that they would sell out and their customer service would plummet and not be as awesome as it used to be. And that's exactly what happened. Every time I have a problem with Chewy I dread calling customer service and nine times out of 10 I don't even call anymore because the people are so fu**ing miserable it's not even worth it. It used to be a place where you could call and people are happy to do their jobs and happy to help you and your pets and things like that but now I feel that it's full of people that really don't care and all they're after is a paycheck. It's very very sad to see a company that was so promising turn into something like this. I can't say that I'm ever going to use chewy.com ever again.

Can anyone tell me why Chewy charges sales tax on prescriptions foods that require a written prescription from a doctor ?????

Ordered for my senior cat on May 6, as of May 9 STILL says preparing order. Lots of local places do not have what my cat need and thought Chewy would be a decent choice, but l now see it wasn't. Customer service aslo and l QUOTE ' not much l can do or say to you but what it says about your order' and disconnected.....um....yeah

I have been a loyal customer for 2 years. I don’t understand why they are being more affected by C19 than other outfits that do similar things, but it took 2 extra weeks to get a 2”x2” box of the Purina forti-flor. Could have put in an envelope and sent, no... big box with all this packing and $5 shipping. Didn’t know Chewy was owned by Petsmart...rethinking continuing with Chewy.

This company used to be the best there was, outdoing Amazon for pet food and supplies hands down. Lately the COVID 19 has been an excuse for every problem, especially shipping. Those of us with Auto ship have this for a reason and are loyal customers to a point. If you cannot get our shipments out within 3 to 5 days instead of the 1 to 2 you used to then don't bother and tell all of us regular customers that you do not care about our pets and their needs and that we should shop somewhere else. I am sorry but an order should never be in processing for 5 to 7 days while we have to go to the store to get our pets food because they ran out waiting for you. Get it together or don't bother anymore.

I would not recommend ordering pet food unless you have tons of time to wait for it. I placed an order for 2 types of dry dog food on April 14th. Rec'd 1 bag on the 20th. I then rec'd an email on the 25th telling me my other bag would arrive the 24th??? This made no sense and my tracking info at Chewy.com was inaccurate compared to the FedX site. April 27th I spent 20 minutes on hold trying to reach customer service, then another 10 minutes waiting for the rep to contact FedX. The rep finally asked if she could call or email me when she figured out what was going on. On the 29th - 15 days after replacing my order, I received​ a box with a 50lb bag of that was ripped open with the dog food spilled into it. The box was not damaged which tells me that Chewy.com put the damaged bag into the box. I still have not heard back from customer service.
