Chewy.comReviews of chewy.com

We tried to use Chewy to give a gift. It is not set up for giving a gift. You CANNOT send a note with the gift. You CANNOT have them delete the cost of the item for the shipping invoice. When I sent them complaint/suggestion, I received a canned response calling me the person to whom I sent the gift not the name I had signed the complaint/suggestion and nothing indicated that anyone had read my note at all.

Out of 5 orders I received 4 in tact bags of food and 4 broken ones. The fifth order resulted in two reshipments which were both punctured with one visibly ripped. They then left me on hold for a half hour and refused to send another. Apparently it is too much for them to adequately package things.

I love Chewy, don't get me wrong. The first year my orders and deliveries via Autoship by my debit card where always on time. Then the problems began when I updated my method of payment to my credit card due to a financial change. When it was taken care of, I then updated back to my debit card. I've then got a decline after a decline payment because they were using the old credit card (which I called customer service twice to resolved). I then learned through my bank that the old credit card (not used since March 2020) was attempted by Chewy, but fortunately declined. I cancelled Autoship and probably my account with them, I am saddened that it came to this.

I've been using Chewy.com for almost a year now getting products for my dog but most importantly the medicine I need for my dog which is vital for her survival. I set up an autoship for the medication so that I can have what I need, when i need it. However, in the past several months (about4) I had experienced delays from the pharmacy department that I can only explain as being incompetent. The reasons i've been given lately are ...they were waiting for a script from my vet , they ran out of the medication, they are preparing for ship. Even when they have the medication and script on hand, they can't process and ship in a timely manner. I've had to call each month because of some delay/excuse and sometimes multiple times. I don't know if they are short handed due to covid-19 but I can't have such delays on medication that is vital to my dog. I don't understand why they don't prepare ahead of time for autoships so the shipment can go out on it's due date without me having to call several times with weeks of delays to get my medicine. On the positive side, other products (non pharmacy) has been spot on and quick to ship.

I’ve bought things from chewy plenty of times and had a wonderful experience. This past order wasn’t that way. I ordered a dog kennel for my dog last Saturday and was told it would arrive Wednesday, then i received a message that it would be late which was fine and it would arrive Thursday. At 730 Thursday night i called and spoke to a representative that told me it was still in transit and would arrive by 8 Friday. I looked at tracking all day Friday and at 330 it said delivered at 445 on Thursday. And it wasn’t delivered to my house! I really don’t understand what happened but I’m very upset that the tracking was not right and i did not receive my package! I’m upset that someone else has my item free of charge. Not acceptable!

Chewy is taking forever to deliver the flea meds I ordered!! Ordered Aug. 7 and it’s still “preparing to ship”! Hurry up, Chewy!! There is also no way to contact them at all which is why they’re getting a bad review for me. The links are broken to leave a message.

I used to love Chewy.com, I have 7 dogs, yes 7 and always could depend on Chewy to get their food, meds toys, whatever on time. Unfortunately, as of late their items arrive damaged, opened or don't arrive at all. Still waiting on Nexgard (ordered 6 days ago) Chatted 4 times and called the pharmacy. Guess Chewy can't depend on our large canine pocket book anymore :(

As long as they use fed ex I won't be shopping with them again.
