I chose Chewy because it was the only merchant carrying the powder form of my prescription. It was a nightmare trying to get a vet-approved prescription through these people. My vet faxed the prescription to them 3 times with no sign of receipt. When they finally called Chewy the order had been tripled so my vet decided they always need to CALL them instead of faxing. Then I get an email confirming the order and it said I had to 'click here' in order to confirm and process the order. Then I get 2 charges on my account for the order. All this took 6 days. I needed this prescription ASAP and when I called them Chewy said it would be another 2-5 days before I get it!! Not a fan. perhaps if I put it on auto renew I won't have such a headache but then I still don't know how long it will take to process and ship.

Been utilizing autoship monthly for years at approximately $200 a month. Unfortunately, reliability and business practices have tanked. Not sure what they have changed but, it's not good. 4 months in a row they have charged me on day scheduled and then just elected to not ship until 5-7 days later. Not cool! A 5th month if these games and my business will be with a different company.

Going downhill fast. This week alone one order not delivered, two had open bags of dog food in the boxes. A few months back they packed the box so full the cat food cans were smashed and two had come open. Not sure what has happened but service and quality is going way down while their prices go up.

I was a longtime customer. Chewy, when confronted with a shipment or product issue would say, “I’m terribly sorry. How can we make this right?” Now: “I’m sorry you feel that way. If you wish to get your pet products from another supplier, we completely understand.” You have to ask yourself: Just WHAT happened? Who are these people anymore?

Ordering: Fine Delivery: Fine Return: Awful. When trying to make a return, there is no "Return" button. You have to contact the company either by message or call or email to request a return and mailing label. 24 hours later and I am still waiting and was told it may be up to 72 hours. Given the opportunity to buy from Chewy or Amazon with the single button return practice, I'd choose Amazon all day long.

I’ve shopped on Chewy for years and were very satisfied.. it’s changed though. They no longer let you know when a product they e sold you has been recalled.. which is very concerning. Will be shopping elsewhere.. sadly..

Chewy is a good company but Chewy Pharmacy needs a lot of improvement. Customer service is inconsistent..

Losers. Go elsewhere. I paid for an order over the phone and they added the card to the account. I was doing a one time payment. The rep didnt use any language to indicate I was adding a card to the account. I had contacted cust.service to ensure the order would arrive in SEPARATE boxes. These jerks throw EVERYTHING in one box. No common sense to place a box within a box! Once again the medicine I bought slid beneath/between the two 15lb boxes of litter. I specifically asked for the medicine NOT to be in the same box as the litter and cleaning supplies. And the other medicine I bought...half the box is crushed. If you read the review below (written a few days prior) you’ll see I had faith in these jerks. I’ll take my chances at Wally World for pet supplies and pay more at the vet. Im closing my account :( ********************Update Above*********** Almost a five star company. I have only had one small issue with a customer representative. But I am going to write that off as a singular experience (maybe she was nervous and this was her first day and I was calling about a delivery issue).Their customer service staff is amazing overall. Either they hire people with amazing personalities and work ethics or they often deal with issues and have developed a keen knack for solving problems. I also can’t give them five stars because they appear to have a one box habit. Despite the nature of the product they will put them all in the same box and sometimes this jeopardizes the integrity of certain items. I have developed a habit of filling my shopping cart by how I think they will be packaged and shipped.So food and medicine in one order and another for litter and cleaning stuff. Also you can enter your veterinarian information and fill prescriptions through them on the website. Their prices are better than my current vets. Recently their prices have become better than my local big box brand stores when it comes to cleaning supplies. Better as in five times cheaper in some cases. The pet store had a no marking spray for $20. On chewy it was less than four dollars on sale ( its getting poor reviews on Chewy but in a brick and mortar store that hasn't affected pricing) so if the bad reviews are legit then at least you haven’t wasted a lot of money.Cat litter prices are good and I like the variety in items offered. Shipping is usually fast. I do agree With other reviewers in that there is some room for improvement in that department. There could be more transparency there. They might also benefit from widening the shipping window so that customers can adjust their expectations accordingly. Because if you tell me 1-2 days then that’s what I’m looking forward to. Overall I would rate Chewy a 4.75. No company is perfect but they come pretty close- errors and all. Lastly one of the best things about chewy is the community and the reviews. I find it easier to shop and try out new products when I can look at a variety of opinions and photos. I do look up things when I’m in a store but it’s far easier to do on this website.
