Usually really liked chewy. Now I won't be using them anymore. It started with me ordering over $30 worth of treats for my bulldog. I got an email saying that my package was left at my front door and it never really came. I sent them an email explaining and they right away sent me a new order. I got an email today that that was " delivered" and it still never came. I called and just asked for a refund since they obviously are having an issue really getting my package to me. They will be refunding my money to me but won't refund what I paid for in shipping. So I get to pay for shipping even though it was never really shipped to my house. Just completely frustrated by this.

Chewy is biased towards dogs and their target audience is dog owners. They don’t tailor their email responses to their audience. They assume everyone is a dog owner/lover, using boiler plate language like “give us a bark if you need anything else” and “have a tail wagging great day” even if you contact them regarding a cat product. They have numerous tv commercials, almost entirely of dogs. In the rare occurrence there is a cat, it’s in the background, hardly noticeable. In one commercial, a spokeswoman talks about not having to lug heavy cat litter from the store, yet there isn’t a single cat in the commercial—only dogs! I contacted their corporate office and told them given cats outnumber dogs in pet ownership, I would think they would want to target cat owners as well, but instead they project themselves as being biased towards dogs by excluding cats from their commercials. The fact they never responded is very telling. They are selective in which negative reviews they post. They only post negative reviews that are inane (ex. product stinks, pet didn’t like it). They wouldn’t post my review which provided constructive criticism and scientific evidence—product caused diarrhea and vomiting even after ruling out other possible causes—because they didn’t want it to impact their bottom line—sales. There are plenty of pet retailers who love cats and who appreciate the business and feedback of their owners. And Petco and Entirely Pets will match other retailers’ prices.

They put 3 holds on my account for one order, and explained to me that is their process and it should come off in 48 hours. I shouldn't have to monitor my bank statements to make sure a charge that shouldn't be there is removed. They do not make you aware of the numerous holds either.I have $120 worth of pending charges on my credit card for a $49 order.

I used to sing their praises to everyone and even got my mom using an auto ship. This last year they have become horribly unreliable. When I had stuff on auto ship it has been temporarily unavailable for months. I have not gotten my shipment the next day for over 5 months. Then this last time, I cancelled an auto ship due to their mistake. They said fine. Then shipped it, charged me twice and now I am paying over draft fees. So I went to check on the delivery of the auto ship...they recalled the shipment. But I will not see a refund for a week. Be very aware! They are awful! And do not care if they make a mistake or rip you off!

Overcharged my credit card 3x. Customer service is a joke. Entire company is 1 big scam. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.!

I have a dog that needed medication, an antibiotic and apoquel for his itching. It was ordered on 1/16 and the vet faxed the info to chewy. I checked order status and they said it was waiting vet approval. Called vet, they faxed the approval earlier in the day. It is now 7:30 pm and they still have not filled the prescription and they are now saying that the meds they promised 1-2 day shipping will not be available until 1/21 which is this coming Tuesday. Never will I order from them again.!!!!!!!!! Customer service was not helpful and not very nice.

What absolutely horrible service. My cat has to receive two medications to help her stay alive. I ordered refills from Chewy with time to spare before the existing ran out. It took over one week for them to get the request to my vet. They kept claiming they sent it (daily). I checked with my vet daily and they never received it. Basically, I was catching them in a lie DAILY. My vet asked me to instruct them to call. I did. Upon follow-up with my vet, they received the script authorization request but it was for multiple cats that were NOT my cat. My cat will probably require an expensive stay at the vet since she has lost massive weight being without her treatment. Such horrible people at Chewy. They refunded my purchase price but still had the freaking nerve to not refund a delivery fee on a cancelled order. I cancelled because they claimed it would go out with 24 hour delivery due to their inability to promptly process my order. They arranged for five-day delivery—even after I confirmed it was now urgent and had to go out overnight. To top it off, when I asked to speak with the phone rep’s supervisor about the delivery charges not being refunded on a CANCELLED order, I was hung up on. Such an unprofessional company that has a total lack of concern for our pets. Their only concern is our money.

Unprofessional company after so many attempts to. have a package delivered in two business days I gave up false advertising they do NOT deliver in two days not only that the packages are ripped and filled with ants this happened a few months back I got bitten by ants when trying to open the box there were holes in the boxes. When I called to cancel the autoshipment they charged me and cancelled the order is this tip off or what now I have to go sue them for charging my card and not refunding money. Pet lovers be aware chewy is a terrible place to shop for your pets I would NEVER recommend or shop with them again!
