I have been purchasing products through Chewy for 4 years now. They usually have the lowest prices and the best deals for pet food and supplies. Usually I would give them 5 stars. Recently however their customer service has changed and I am sad about that. I am sure they must have had to find a way to cut costs.

Chewy's customer service is always exceptional. My only complaint is that they use FedEx, and while I have no problems with FedEx in general, when I'm ordering chicken feed, the boxes are heavy. Our driver prefers to push those boxes out of the back of the truck and into the driveway, then leave them. With an area retailer selling Kalmbach at the same price, it's easier to get feed elsewhere. I'm noticing that for many of my regular purchases, the prices locally are the same or cheaper.

I have saved quite a bit of money on my cat's prescription medicine with Chewy, and the speed at which they process and ship pet med orders is amazingly fast! I ordered early on Monday morning and got it on Wednesday! I'd like to see more competitive pricing on prescription cat food, specifically Hill's. They must be really proud of their pet food because it is outrageously priced, and if Chewy could offer it cheaper I'd order that too. I highly recommend Chewy for pet meds!

We have two golden retrievers and a very picky cat, and finding the right food used to be such a headache. I placed my first order on a Sunday night and it was at my door by Tuesday. Tuesday!!

I have ordered my dogs food and some meds many times and always got the right products within 3 days or less. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the way products are packaged to ship. I get 1 big box with the items randomly tossed in. I understand keeping costs down and most items wouldnt matter. But twice I have received items in plastic containers that were broken open or crushed. If fragile items cannot be shipped separately how putting them in a small box inside the big box or maybe some peanuts to keep things from crashing around. My delivery driver has, just in passing, mentioned that the boxes are never properly marked as heavy or super heavy but has learned to expect that they are.

Overall good experience. Customer service is very good. However, for people really watching their pennies, BE AWARE THAT THEIR PRICES PER OUNCE/PER POUND ARE MISLEADING. Their prices per ounce/per pound are APPROXIMATE, not exact. For example, if a single product item is listed at 16 cents per ounce, and you see that a bundle of two or three count of that item is listed as 15 cents per ounce, please know that the total bundle price is not calculated at 15 cents per ounce. You are getting the overall bundle price listed at the top of the price listing, and that bundle price is not cheaper than the individual item price. CHEWY CUSTOMER SERVICE ADMITTED TO ME THAT THE PER OUNCE/PER POUND PRICES ARE APPROXIMATE.

My dogs congestive heart failure medicine got caught up and shipping and upon calling Chewys customer service they priority next day shipped me another bottle of my dogs congestive heart failure medicine. Would get five stars but the fact that it got caught up in shipping for 6 days made it to where I had to leave one star off. But their customer service in my opinion is a huge five stars and I appreciate the professionalism and taking responsibility for their product and coming up with a more than fair solution. Way to go chewy!?

I love that I can call and get a real person on the phone who can communicate in a way that I can understand, and I get a live person. I love that they stand behind their products when there is a problem. I also love the excellent deals that I get. What I hate is that they cram so much into the boxes and make them so heavy that my items get damaged inside the boxes and I can barely get them into my house. This is a recurring issue with me, and I have had to call to get credit several times due to dented, sometimes to the point of being opened, cans, broken spray bottles of cleaner or chicken wound care, or puncture bags of kitty litter. It wastes time and resources. Just pack them smaller and use packing material other than one thin piece of paper. Every once in a while, there will be a cardboard cushion type thing but that’s not frequent and not helpful. If that was not an issue I would give five stars.
