Good products but the reason Im giving 2 stars is because of the big boxes. A 11"x 8" x 4" (aprox.) box for a tinny bottle of pills, or like today, a 2" diameter product x1.18" (aprox.)... plus, inside comes some papers to hold the product and some cartboards. It's been like that for at least a year for us. It's a lot of waste. I hope you guys can send boxes according to the size of the product we are getting.

I was a customer of Chewy's for a few years now. I've used them primarily for prescription medications and food. Over the past year I've had to use them a lot more due to my dogs recent diagnosis of cushings and diabetes. I've spent thousands through Chewy, but I've decided to cancel all of my autoships today. It's frustrating to have to go out and look for a different company, but today I've seen this company doesn't really care as much as they'd like you to believe through their various media stunts or "random" acts of kindness as shared on social media. In my situation Chewy failed to call me when my prescription for insulin syringes was blocked for a reason they can't even determine. This left me waiting for a script that was never going to be delivered, using up the syringes I had, wasting time. I had to go to my vet to get enough to hold me over for 5 days (thinking my script would be here any day). Not a single message. If my vet sold boxes, I would have purchased them there, but they don't and I order medications and food from chewy anyway, so it only makes sense to get everything delivered in one order. Finally, after a week passes and no syringes, I go on the website to see the order has not shipped. I call them and I'm told there was a block on the order for some unknown reason and that it would be shipped out the next day. That still leaves me here with no syringes for 48-72 hours. I'm told I can go buy them at a local pharmacy and they will reimburse me a weeks worth. Where can you buy a weeks worth of insulin syringes? Nowhere! You have to purchase an entire box. Not a single attempt to make this right. In the past, the pharmacy would immediately contact me if there was going to be a delay or an issue had occurred with the script. It doesn't matter what your excuse is for why this occurred. The fact is, I am a regular paying customer dropping enough to cover a new car note every month (when I drive an old beater). I deserve a phone call when my script isn't going to be filled. Now my dog doesn't have needles and I have to scramble to find a place.

Pros: ordering was really simple and the prices are great. Cons: I placed an order and then it was canceled the next day, for no apparent reason. I wasnt notified it was canceled i had to look up my account and find that out and then call customer service to place the order again. Customer service was unable to tell me why it was canceled either. Then I get an email saying that my shipment will be delayed till who knows when?? Not very impressed with this company at the moment.

As a realtor, they're great. However, their warehouse department is one of the worst I have ever seen. My autoship, which is supposed to arrive on the day of the autoship, was 7 days late so my poor pets did not have enough food and I had to rush to the store before they closed so they'd have dinner. One of the items in my shipment was a sealed bag of dry dog food. The entire top half of the bag was slit as if it was intentional, which I believe it was because I made a complaint that all of my 60 dollars worth of canned cat food came in dented from my previous order. The bag was not punctured or torn, it was slit like you'd open it with a knife. It's impossible for that to have happened during transport because there is no excess piece of the bag. They opened the dog food, put it in the box, and shipped it to me that way intentionally and yes, I have pictures. I spoke to a supervisor who made no attempts to correct the situation or keep me as a Chewy customer. I told her I couldn't shop from Chewy any longer (I spend about 500 dollars on pet supplies every 4-6 weeks) because this was such a disaster and on top of that all the food was late, and she waved me off without a care for my atrocity of a shipment. It's clear Chewy staff, supervisors and warehouse do not care about the business or peoples pets.

For over two years I have had an unresolved problem with the prescription they have in their system for Carprofen for my two big pups. They have entered the prescription as one caplet. I activate the prescription then I have to order 89 refills To get a 90 day resupply. I almost ordered 4 tablets for under 10 dollars with over twenty dollars for shipping but caught it before I hit submit. Their customer service refuses to change what they have in the system. Dara, a CS rep, argued and talks over me repeatedly while I tried to explain what the problem was. She insisted that is the way they set up their prescriptions.

After being with chewy for so many years, I am deeply disappointed in the resolution of an issue I had yesterday. I received an email that stated to buy treats and get 50% off (a coupon code of TREATSBYCHEWY22) so I placed an order and pasted the coupon code and got a message that said the coupon was invalid. How can that be when I got the email the day before? So I called chewy and after explaining the situation the CS agent said many people were calling about the same issue so she contacted her supervisor. Well that supervisor after a long wait, told the agent that in order for the coupon to work was I had to remove all the items in my cart and only order 1 product at a time but request 2 of the same to get 50% off and I could only use that code 4 times. I had more than 8 items in my cart and it was over $86.00!! I told the agent if I ordered everything separately I would NOT get the free shipping! and I would pay much much more than the savings! I was upset because that was NOT STIPULATED in the email! And I even selected treats that were pictured in the email so that I was not told that I selected treats that were not included! The email just stated "order treats and jet 50% off with code TREATSBYCHEWY22". This supervisor did NOTHING to help this situation. She could have said ok since it's not working and you selected treats that were in the email let me give you 40% off or come up with a different solution! I told the agent that I would try ordering just one item, 2 of that same item and see if the coupon would work but after waiting so long on the phone I would have to try that in about an hour. Well I did try and guess what?? The coupon still stated "not valid" !! What a royal waste of time! Chewy I thought you were better than that! Sending out coupons that do not work, just to get people to place orders! And from what that CS agent stated "many people were calling about the same issue" I wonder how the supervisor handled the other situations. I will definately be posting this on a chewy review site so other do not fall in the trap of ordering with a so called coupon from chewy. G.Alonzo Illinois

I have been a Chewy customer since they opened and while there have been many hiccups over the years nothing too too terrible and most everything was eventually resolved. With that said, I was on vacation and tried to update the quantities on my autoship for our animal care giver to have more food....just in case... so it is the same food, same address and cc to pay for it as it has been for YEARS and YEARS. Long story short they decided to do a random customer verification and needed me to call a 800 number which I couldnt call from a boat in remote Indonesia. I asked them via email over and over to help me out this 1 time. They flat out refused and said they must hear my voice confirming my email to process the autoship. I told them if they couldnt help me then I could order from Amazon, which turned out cheaper, and they replied by cancelling all my future autoships. They have lost a long term client that has 10 cats, 2 dog's, 6 bunnies, 100 koi and 3 tortoises. Guess they dont care about customer loyalty.

My experience with Chewy is the mere fact that they go from great loving & kind customer service with the exception, their next-day or 2-day orders take 4 to 5 days....no problem with that if your order doesn't need verifying with a phone call to Chewy. Plus, the redundancy of the company when things go wrong is exasperating. I am a very busy person and can't come to an understanding why my recent order needed verifying other than was told initially that there had been a recall due to "security" breach of some sort" and advised that this most likely won't be the last time my orders will need verifying. Then I'm later advised by customer service that there was no security breach. DUH??? Who the hey has time to call Chewy when an order has been correctly made & an e-mail received accepting the order; and if they've caught a security breach why can't they EXPLAIN WHAT THE SECURITY BREACH CONSISTED OF? Who has time to go back to Yahoo e-mails in order to check for the mere fact that Chewy is delaying an order because it needs verifying with a telephone call? You then take valuable time after placing a legitimate order to call and verify every period and comma of an order recently placed BUT NOW YOU WON'T RECEIVE THE ORDER TIMELY unless you kick for an explanation. I have no other recourse but to obtain a new credit card number. My guess is that their website needs restructuring as can recall past challenges throughout the years with their website. However, Chewy says all is well, their site is fine; there was no security breach and they can personally help me with my orders if I call them . . .WHAT? Are they saying that I'm incompetent or that they don't want my business? Why would I get a new credit card number and then give it to an employee in a phone call who could be the cause of a breach. IT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER.
