Chewy.com is great! They give you the best options for food, but they don't stop delivering. My family unordered the dog food because we had just gone and got food from a local store, and they still sent us food and charged us for the dog food that we didn't even need. We have three bags of the same dog food! Besides that factor, Chewy is an amazing pet site. I would recommend it for those who don't go to local stores! LOL! Thank you for reading, have a great day, and use Chewy.com!

We have a lot of animals. So we order from chewy a lot. I would have given it a 5 star if it weren’t for the shipping. They have tossed our stuff or left it at the bottom of my steps. We have a lot of steps going up to our house.

This used to be a good place. Now you have to look at your final order with a fine-toothed comb. I ordered dry Rachel Ray dog food originally. The bag looks exactly like the cat food bag, except that there is a dog instead of a cat on it. I added the dry dog food to my cart, since I was on the "dry dog food" page, but somehow it was switched to the Rachel Ray dry cat food. I did not check the final description on my invoice, since I selected dry dog food, and ordered. Now, I have more cat food than I need, am almost out of dog food, and have to expose myself to potential COVID 19 infection, by going to the store. I have four underlying conditions. That is why I order from Chewy. I have to avoid exposure at all costs. Now I can't, and have to run to the store. So, long story short ... too late ... look over every order you make on the final invoice, before ordering. Their website is very glitchy.

I have always had great experiences through chewy. Two weeks ago I ordered my dogs heartworm prevention for the first time. My vet had to fax it in 3 times and finally talked to someone on the phone to approve my request. I will probably never order prevention from them again. Luckily I was proactive and ordered a month early, but if not we would have had issues. Maybe next time I'll try 1800petmeds😊

Update 2. I waited a while and Chewy seems to be delivering again. I've no idea what happened but glad to know. They are a useful site to purchase pet items so happy to know they can do the job. Update: They did a redo of my order and surprise! Two days later, FedEx still has not picked up the package. Tho they are nice enough, I keep getting the same scripted replies back, the fires, the snow storm (um, not on the west coast guys) and yet every other package from FedEx, UPS etc are arriving just fine. It's ridiculous. And dumb. Because they just keep saying the same thing over and over. So sorry Chewy. We are totally breaking up. There are other ways to get what I need. Also, I wish they would stop telling me they'd be happy to adjust my price if I hop over to a local store and buy the item. FFS. Really? Exactly what I want to do during covid is go browsing through a store. No. First day review: I am a big believer in Chewy but lately their service has slipped to point where I fear I will have to find another vendor. Out of my last three recent orders one got her almost overnight. Another was delayed and delayed for no apparent reason (I didn't need the stuff right away so I kind of let it go cause covid been tough on everyone). But this last order needs to show up and it says it was sent out on the 15th to arrive late last week yet the Fed Ex tracking shows it hasn't even been picked up from Chewy. And when asked, Chewy wrote back to say it was on the way (nope) and Fed Ex is delayed cause of the fires and hubs and all that nonsense. My other Fed Ex pckgs arriving just fine. So I'm noticing a trend here from people saying the same thing. Hey, Chewy. Come on. What's really going on? I'm pausing my future Chewy orders for now until they get it together.

They will drive you crazy asking you to review their products EVERY TIME YOU ORDER. I begged them to stop and they said they would but it still goes on.

For food and treats, I have no real issues. The pharmacy services, however, I have serious problems with. I’ll spare you the first few problems and tell you about my most recent experience. I have a dog with congestive heart failure. I ordered his medications. Realizing I cut it too close, I stopped by my vets office to pick up 4 days worth to tide me over until my order arrives. Four days later I dole out my last dose of meds in the morning, but saw that I had a Chewy order arriving that day, so I don’t worry. I get home from work (after vet hours) to find that they shipped food and treats, but none of the four meds. I am now out of meds and the vet is closed. My dog misses two doses (PM dose that night and one the following morning which happens before my vet opens). I called Chewy that night and the customer service person tells me everything is all set now that they got a hold of my vet, and my order should ship tomorrow, and arrive in 3-4 days. I stop by my vet again to pick up another 4 days worth of meds to ride me over until Chewy delivers. The following day I check the Chewy app and see that my order STILL hasn’t shipped. I call and get placed on hold for what feels like forever, then am told that I requested more pills than I was allowed for refill, which is why my order was being held up. Not the answer I got the day before. So I asked if they called the vet or not. I am out in another hold. Then she comes back and tells me they did not call the vet. I asked why they hadn’t called the vet— and that the vet would have approved had they asked.. and that their form specifically asks customers to check “i will submit a prescription” or “I’d like Chewy to contact my vet for the prescription”. I also asked how they expected me to know that my order was being held up if THEY DIDN’T TELL ME. Anyway at this point I get an apology, and she tells me that their pharmacy will call my vet tomorrow and if they get approval can probably ship tomorrow. Anyway I cancelled my order and just went back to 1-800-PETMEDS. I just thought it would be easier to get food, treats, and meds in one place but I don’t think I have gotten one single issue-free med delivery yet. I give up.
