Chewy used to be great. Not anymore. I ordered 4 bags of treats and they sent me all 4 bags with an expiration date just 5 months away I always order this food and usually get an expiration date with a year to go. My previous order of this same item is 3 months fresher than what they shipped this time, so they shipped me old product. Of course I let customer service know and their response was they only guarantee a 3 month expiration date on food and not to order in bulk again. Yet all they sell are full cases of food how is that not bulk? And when they finally offered a refund it was going to be credit on a gift card that I used not a refund to my Credit Card that was the bulk of the order. That refund would be worthless to me since I can't buy food from a company that only guarantees 3 months till expiration. The final blow was when the customer service person 'hung up' on me in our chat session. I will never give them another penny.

Awful company that constantly runs out of products but still charges your card. I’ve been waiting since mid July for Denamarin for my dog (which is a medication for his liver.) It’s November now. It’s been almost four months and they still don’t have it restocked. This is a billion dollar corporation and they aren’t able to get pet medication for their customers? Seriously. I won’t shop with Chewy again because it’s not worth my stress or my money.

Horrible customer service. A package was lost or stolen and they left ny sick cat without her prescription RX food which is the only one she can eat. They refused to help me and treated me oooely after originally walking me to call back in a day and they would re-ship

Chewy advertises 1-3 day shipping for order over 49. This is a blatant lie because they know that they never get the orders out and to you within this window. after over 2.5 years i've realized i maybe received 1 order within the window. it usually takes 1.5 - 2 weeks and twice now the orders have been "lost". they send the orders via the lowest cost of shipping services and you get them when you get them. you send up having to go out to buy your pets food because the orders never arrive and they never know an accurate date. very frustrating.

Like others, we loved Chewy for the convince, selection and quick delivery. I ordered at the same time every month knowing it would arrive on time. My last order was 2 weeks rather than 3 days (no notice). I had to find other food for my dogs to eat until my order arrived. I decided to give it one more try, and when I attempted to place my order, I was informed that there is none in stock. I will be leaving Chewy now and as it is no longer reliable and convenient. We used to love Chewy - until they cancelled our autoship last min without a heads up which resulted in our dog being out of food and not having anything to eat but get introduced to a new food which made him have a very bad upset stomach. We used to get the American Journey dog food which had zero recalls and my dog loves their food, however the downside is that it has limited resources. Currently with the pandemic, this food is out of stock literally EVERYWHERE. This food is actually owned by Chewy and Petsmart also carries it and you can't buy it anywhere else. I had it on autoship for months ahead of time and they cancelled last min and suddenly I'm in panic mode because my dog has no other option but to change his food since nobody sold this dog food. We switched to Wellness Core which is available everywhere. We're disappointed that they did not give us heads up ahead of time (we've had this on auto ship for several months) and they just cancelled on us. My poor dog had diarrhea for 24 hours straight because we had no option but to feed him his new kibble without the slow introduction. Due to the limited resources, we won't be buying American Journey again. We have also cancelled all future auto ship as their shipping always tends to be late and they always notify you last min apparently.

Bad experience so far with chewy. Ordered a dog kennel, it was scratched up and didn’t have the correct screws to put it together and customer service won’t even respond back. Will never order from them again if they don’t resolve the issue!

Chewy can not get orders delivered in the 1-3 days with order over $49. My past orders have been delivered in 5-6 days. After reading all the negative reviews I'm glad I moved on to another supplier.
