We order a lot from Chewy. However their free shipping minimum bothers me. They need to lower it to $25 and make prescription items ship free. Why would I buy a $7.50 prescription ointment from them if they’re going to charge me shipping?? Get a clue.

Needed medication quickly. Unlike times before when it was delivered within 48hours, Five days later meds arrived. Extremely disappointing. I had to go back to the vet for 5 additional doses. Never again.

I have been an auto ship customer for a long time. I got an email confirming my next shipment was coming but it didn't arrive. I called customer service, and they told me they knew they had a problem with their system, but no effort was made to contact me. Didn't have enough food to last until the food arrived.

My cats veterinarian put him on Barrier flea control as it protects against many other things and it's a topical that lasts a month. I found Barrier online via chewy com ,a 6 months supply, so my boyfriend ordered it ,then was informed the veterinarians approval was required. Chewy called the vet but since my boyfriend wasn't listed on my cats records it was not approved. Chewy contacted the vet once again and the vet figured out that it was my boyfriend who paid for my cats vet visit and that he is in fact affiliated therefore the vet approved the prescription. Chewy accepted payment from the start,while the approval was given to chewy by the vet we still haven't received notice as to what is going on with this prescription that has been paid for since the 14th of July 2023. My cat has been uncomfortable with irritations such as fleas,mites,etc.and he is due for the next dose but chewy.com has dropped the ball by not contacting us regarding shipping the prescription that was indeed approved also paid for in full. I am beginning to second guess chewys reliability where my cats health and well being is concerned. The order was placed, the vet did approve the prescription, we should have received some response regarding the shipping such as a tracking number , at least confirmation that the order had been processed and is being shipped, but nothing. I assumed that chewy.com was a reliable and trustworthy source, though now such disappointment due to no response especially since they took the payment. We also set up the auto ship implying to chewy that we will be continuing purchasing this item in the future regularly. In my opinion, payment should only be accepted upon approval rather than taking ones payment then leaving them hanging just to wonder what's going on with the order or more importantly their funds. I'm going to contact chewy by phone in just a bit, we will see, I may be revising my review, but at this moment I'm not very happy with the situation and neither is my cat. Going to the vet is very costly and if I have to return to the vet because my cat contracted something due to his meds not being delivered it will be undoubtedly unacceptable. It's been over a week and that is simply too long to have been waiting . I expected a reply upon approval along with an ETA on the meds .

This review is about their lack of transparency and poor communications of their promotions. Be careful when participating in their gift card offers that require you to purchase X dollars in order to receive one. Their terms & conditions fail to list all excluded brands in their promotional emails, and don’t provide a link to show the extensive list. Even if your items in basket don’t qualify, the website will still allow you to apply the promo code as if it’s accepted. Their app did the same thing. (Terrible UX!) When I notified the customer service team to let them know of their mistake, it took several back and forth messages before getting to a resolution.

Customer Service said my dogs pills shipped.I called my vet they said nobody contacted them. So we got the # of Cheys vet and she got the ball rolling. Point is Customer service lied and my dog needed his prescription.

Done ordering from chewy they cannot pack had an order replaced again they refuse to use a bigger box received the same box where you can see the product through tape they claim it goes an extra day so packing can check notes they didn't do squat on the replacement.. it happens continuously

I have been shopping at Chewy since our dog was a puppy and he is 8 now. I have told several friends, family, and coworkers about Chewy because I have always thought the customer service has been great and the auto ship is convenient for his food. Not only have I been buying his food from here for the past 8 years, but I have also bought treats, dog pillows, flea treatments, etc. It is a little frustrating to me that over these 8 years they have never done any kind of loyalty program or offer discounts. The only thing that has changed is the dog food has gone up A LOT in price. I have received emails for gift cards if you spend so much money but the expiration date is never listed anywhere noticeable. I just tried to use one today and of course it expired a couple of days ago. I have found other companies that offer loyalty rewards and free bags of dog food after so many orders. I will be making the switch to one of these today.
