Ordered dry food a couple of days ago haven't had any response from the from the seller. So I emailed them again asking what's taking so long to get my order shipped... Their response was the next day they're having some kind of issue verifying my account... So I emailed them saying I want to cancel my order and they were insisting for me to call them and talk to them in person about it. So I finally emailed them again asking what's happened to the order which I was told yesterday it will be shipped any day ..again they were saying there was some kind of problem with the order so I said cancel my order and I want my money back so I called them which I was hung up by two people .. finally talked to the third one and they canceled my order and I was told the money will be returned to me 3 to 5 days.. worst nightmare ever.

Chewy is a terrible company. My view of them changed after my Doberman, Lemmy, passed away in February of 2021 and I called them to cancel an order for her. I advised the representative that I needed to cancel the order due to her death. No problem. Fast forward to the past month starting in June of 2022, I begin receiving emails to buy Lemmy something for her upcoming birthday (which is 7/25). I reply to them that she is dead and passed over a year ago as relayed to their representative when I canceled an order. I am told they would remove her from the system. This was on 6/16/2022. Today (6/30/2022), I receive a birthday card for Lemmy, my wife sees it gets upset, rips it up, and throws it away. Later today, I receive an email from them titled “Don't Forget a Birthday Treat!”. Seriously Chewy! She’s dead, leave us alone!

I have heard good things about Chewy.com so I decided to give them a try. Sadly,I am very disappointed with them. I placed my order with them and 4 days later I had to contact them about my order and when it would be shipped. The reply I got was there was some confusion and I needed to verify my address since it was my first order. Now it seems to me that as soon as I placed my order that they would have seen it was a first time order so why didn't they send me an email right away asking me to confirm the things they needed instead of me having to contact them. So now my order will not be delivered until 10 days later. I am so disappointed. That is why I did not opt for auto ship because I wanted to see how long their process took and I cant find my fur babies food because everywhere is out of stock,so I thought why not give Chewy a try and try another grain free brand because they don't carry my dogs food. At this point I am not sure if I will order from them again.

Worst service ever. I've been trying to get auto ship setup for a medication I'm paying for on a friend's account who can't afford it. It took four phone calls to try and get it set up correctly and they still screwed it up. I told them after the second or third call on their recorded line, with my friend being on the phone with me, to have their supervisors pull the previous calls and fix the problem. I never heard back from them. Today, they charged my card before the first of the month, thereby overdrawing my account. When I called to get this corrected, they can't find either of our accounts under her phone number, my phone number, her email address, my email address, my mailing address or her address so, they can't even find the order. They said they would have to cancel the order in order to refund the money and then set it up to ship again on the 1st. Now, how do you cancel an order you can't even find? How do you put back in an order you can't even find? I'm definitely ditching this company as right now I would trust them about as far as I can throw a pregnant elephant, uphill, with telekinesis. Their level of incompetence is astounding.

I’m a first time user of chewy.com after a coworker (and multiple ads) describe the benefits of the site. I eventually made an account and ordered a cat tree. They claim 1-3 days to ship and arrive so I gave them 4 days as I ordered after they ship their items. I wait 5 days and receive no email or notification about the progress of my order until I get a “order verification” through my email on the 6th day. I call to verify my order and the man said they added a new security measure for the 1st order. The next day I see the same “order verification” email. I once again verified my info. Now today (of writing this) my order was just flat out cancelled due to “suspicious activity”. If you’ve been using chewy since before they implemented this security measure then pay no attention, however, if you’re going to be a first time user then look elsewhere for pet products or potentially have your order cancelled.

Why isn't no stars an option? They say they will send medication to my dog every month, but the second monthly shipment will arrive 5 days late. I asked for two things: 1) That chewy change the schedule so that my girl will get her medication at least 5 days earlier in the future. They refused, saying that I have to make a special request every month that this be done. 2) I asked that a five day supply be overnighted to me so that my girl would have some of the medication until the late shipment arrived. This was also refused. chewy.com sucks. I hope I can find the same medication elsewhere.

Up until this afternoon, I would have referred anyone to Chewy. I buy all my pet needs from them with only a few from Amazon. But today, proved to be one of the worst days of my life thanks to a Chewy phone in customer service call I made. I tried to purchase some oral flea medication for an older male indoor cat I have who is nearing the end of his life. He is 14 going on 15 and has terrible flea allergies as well. I have been keeping him comfortable and well fed and watered during this time, but his fleas are terrible. He is not okay with me handling him and will not let me take him to the vet. When I tried to order the medication the sheet where I completed all of the animal information kept going blank and would not hold the information. So I called for assistance. Got some seemingly nice young woman who explained I needed a prescription for the flea med. I told her I could not get the cat to the vet. She then told me to trap him. I told her I had to do that when I move three years ago. I took three days and he was isolated and alone in the other house which was vacant. I finally got him into the trap and moved. I told her a second time especially now would be near impossible. I also explained I have two other indoor cats that would go into the trap for the food and warn the cat that needs to be trapped what was up. But honestly I think he would never go near the trap. The girl kept telling me to call SPCA and all the shelters to get him trapped. I told her this was not what I wanted and I knew because of how he is that I could not give him meds even if he could be treated for kidney failure or if it is lymphoma then there is nothing but steroids. All are oral and I cannot get him to take them. He even singles out his one flea pill every 3 weeks;. It takes several trys to get him to eat that. So I ended the call thinking I will must keep giving him the Capstar. This afternoon animal control showed up at my door and told me I had to surrender the animal. The Chewy customer service rep had called anonymously and turned me in for animal abuse? So now I have to let them come in an trap my cat and put him down. All this because I called to get help with flea control meds. At this point, I would not recommend calling and/or giving any information about your pet to any Chewy customer service rep. They are all working from home and not trained to "NOT GET INVOLVED" in the lives of their customers in such an extreme manner as this young woman took it upon herself. I feel humiliated and embarrassed. But most of all heart broken as I am now going to lose my cat before he is ready to die. Trust me if Euthanasia is the best solution for him, then I will have to allow it and have taken in many pets when it is their time. But they let me know. They stop eating. They stop grooming, they stop using the litter box. This cat has none of these signs. He is just not friendly and is wasting as most of my elderly cats have done. This happens with or without veterinary care. They don't live forever unfortunately. Now I feel guilty and completely scared about what will happen next. I have complained to Chewy and I hope this young woman loses her job. Beware! Also, I am not someone who does not take their animals to the vet. I spent near $2500.00 on my other two just for check ups and a dental on my 6 year old female. I had to refinance my house to pay off those debts. But my animals are my children. They sleep with me and I love them dearly.

I would leave 0 starts if possible. I placed an order for dog food. I started the subscription as I figured it would work out great. Well the next day they cancelled my order. I of course went out and bought her food. Then 2 weeks later they inform me they are shipping my subscription. I asked them not to ship it asi had already bought her food and since my order was cancelled I thought it was all cancelled. They shipped it anyway. Terrible service!
