I purchased a cat condo on January 31, 2021 for a total of $129.16. Chewy charged my virtual debit card for this amount and then cancelled the order. Repeated calls to customer service, including speaking with a supervisor “Elizabeth” who actually got on the phone with the debit card company to “release the funds back” since Chewy cancelled the order. I spent hours trying to resolve this. I was a faithful Chewy customer for years, with 8 various rescued cats/dogs but I will never do business with them again. I spend about $400 per month for supplies for my pets-my business now goes to Amazon and Petco.

Twice this year had issues from Chewy (one was ongoing for weeks, shipping related) and without fail, I always have to go through several representatives and finally ask for a supervisor before getting any actual truth, help, information, or action. Every. Single. Time.

Product was misrepresented. The ad clearly states that I was buying a lamp. All I got was an $18 light bulb. A lot of good that does me. I will never use Chewy again.

Ordered from Chewy thinking that it would save money rather than buying from the vet but found out the hard way that Chewy was 25% more expensive than the vets price. Who would have thought it?

Ordered insulin for my cat which after not shipping for several days i was told it was "lost in the system" and would be another week before it arrives. I cancelled my order and will attempt to find it elsewhere furthering delaying my cats insulin. Would not recommend this place!

I wish I would have read these reviews before choosing Chewy to order my dogs prescription thyroid medication. This company will talk in circles while getting nothing resolved. I ordered my dogs prescription July 5th and it is now July 13th and the prescription still has not shipped. I contacted my Veterinary office thinking they had not sent the authorization yet they informed they had. Chewy is still telling me they have not, yet my vets office was able to prove to me they had not only faxed the prescription, but also sent an email which they cc'd me so I know they did in fact send the requested information. My vet then needed to call Chewy and see what the issue is. My prescription now says it is being reviewed by Chewy and my dog will be out of medication thanks to their slow and incompetent customer service. I did let Chewy know I was running out of her medication. After this prescription ships (and only not to inconvenience my vet office and to reduce wait time) I will be be canceling my automatic dog food order as well as her prescription. I would rather spend my money with a company who seems to care about my pet and who actually looks into the issue before sending an inaccurate response. If you look around online their are other places who offer the same pricing as Chewy, yet much better customer service.

Chewy used to be the best! But has gone significantly down hill. Customer service is one of the things that was always amazing, which set them apart from the rest but now it's very subpar, not helpful at all anymore. Plus the food selection is much more limited than it used to be. Likely both changes are due to Covid, but Chewy does not seem to be recovering and if the best things about them, great service and great food selection are no longer available then there is no point in using them anymore, especially when there are a ton of other companies that now offer the same services. Also if anyone from Chewy is reading this, when your customer service is not helpful, is instead borderline rude, having them end the email with cutesy pet language about hugs and barks to your pet is not cute, it might be cute after a happily resolved issue but it's VERY annoying to throw in cutesy language after being unhelpful and this policy likely makes people more frustrated then they already are.

Horrible customer service! Almost a month ago someone had stolen my credit and debit card information and did two purchases on chewy.com via paypall. I have tried to contact chewy via email- no response at all! After a couple of days I tried again, I couldn’t log in into my chewy account and asked for help; almost immediately I received a response from them saying that they can’t find my account asking for more information; I’ve provided that information and they have been silent since that day. My bank was able to cancel credit card charge but the debit card one is still there. PayPal have denied my case saying that chewy is responsible for the charge. A month later I’m still stuck with the charge and no support at all. I’ll never buy anything from them ever again!
