When I started with Cerebral 2 years ago I was impressed. Telehealth with a doctor who could give me my prescriptions all in one fee. Then it went downhill, fast.
Since then, meds are no longer included in subscription cost and are far more expensive then I have found them at other online pharmacies.
My original providers (who actually started with Cerebral back when the company started) have all left and since then I have had 4 different providers, almost a new one every few months when I need new meds. So then each visit was a re-evaluation because Cerebral has more turnover than a bakery.
Worst of all? Besides Cerebral paying for reviews in exchange for "credit towards care;" Cerebral has touted non-scientific disproven pseudoscience modalities such as EMDR as "new and effective" ways of treating patients.
This all just points to one thing: Cerebral doesn't care about giving you quality healthcare or giving their employees a good place to work. They want your money and don't care who suffers from their corporate greed. Go elsewhere. I did.

Avoid at all costs!!!!
Edit: After the exchange below, I told cerebral that if they did not refund me, they would be fraudulently collecting income for services not provided and that I would report them to the SEC, the BBB, and my bank for fraudulent charges. Suddenly I was granted the refund due to me. But it shouldn't have taken that in the first place. Collecting money for services you never render or intend to render is fraud, plain and simple. And that includes billing for the first months when you're not seeing patients yet. Literal fraud.

Hi there, Jude, thank you for following up with this. I was permitted to go ahead and refund the rest of the charge, minus the $85 for the medication management plan you are currently on. This refund totaled an additional $142.50 in addition to the $97.50 that was previously refunded.

I signed up for cerebral hoping to simplify my medication/therapy process. They didn't have any appointments with a therapist the first week, but still charged me for it the first week anyway. Fine, whatever. The care coordinator doesn't have appointments until January (in November). Isn't this supposed to be faster than waiting for in person care?? My therapist was okay, but didn't hold sessions the week of Thanksgiving (which is valid) and said she would have them refund me for that week since it was her decision not to meet, not mine. At the one month mark, I decided to switch to just medication management. They charged me for the therapy plus medication management plan anyway ($325 versus $99) and now they're saying they don't owe me a refund and are acting like refunding me 30% is them being gracious. Will be disputing the charge with my bank, reporting them for accounting fraud, and filing a complaint with the BBB. Oh and the Cherry on top is them completely ignoring my request for refills, so now I have four days of meds left (that I will literally die without) and they haven't said a word. Not worth a penny, let alone $325 a month. Avoid at all costs!!!

Hi, I got charged $325 after I switched to the meds only plan. Can I please get a refund for the difference.

Hey there, Jude, thank you for reaching out! I am working to find a solution for this and will circle back with an update as soon as I have one. Thank you for your patience!

You
Hey, just checking for an update as I could really use that money right now. Also, I am almost out of meds (6 days left) so I do need a refill on those as well since the prescriber didn't put in any refills for them.

Hey there, Jude, thank you for following up here. I was given permission to refund 30% for the 11.22.21 charge since you did not meet with a prescriber or therapist yet. I went ahead and processed the refund for $97.50, which should reach your account within 5 business days.

You
It should be $99 a month for just the meds side. Please refund the full difference. Also, my therapist said I should have gotten a credit for the week that she didn't hold sessions for Thanksgiving. So it should be a refund of 25% of the therapy charge for my first month, and a refund of everything other than the $99+tax for this month. Also, I do still need refills. I run out of meds in 6 days.

You charged me erroneously, this isn't a courtesy refund. Please refund the money I'm owed as outlined above and confirm that my prescriber is going to send my refill to the pharmacy.

Hi there, Jude, thank you for reaching out about this and I apologize that this complication has occurred. I have reached out to my management to review the situation, and per their assessment, no further refund is appropriate in this instance.

You
Then I'm going to need someone else to speak to because you charged me for 8 therapy sessions and two months of meds, and I got two months of meds and 3 therapy sessions. So Cerebral owes me back for the five sessions I did not get, but paid for. Who can I contact to discuss this who can actually resolve the issue?
12:59 AM
You
Cerebral collecting money on receivables that were never and will never be delivered is accounting fraud, and you owe me a refund for services not delivered. Not doing so is illegal and I will be reporting it to the SEC and the Better Business Bureau as well as disputing the charge with my bankif it goes unrefunded.
1:02 AM
You
That's $23 for the discounted rate for the week my therapist did not hold sessions for Thanksgiving and $226 for the difference between the plan you charged me for ($325 for therapy+medication) and the plan I'm actually on ($99 medication) plus tax on each.

Don’t waste your time or money
If you rely on medication, DO NOT USE THIS SERIVICE! on 3 separate occasions my prescriptions were delayed and one was by over 2 weeks. That’s literally their main function. The coordinators do not care and do not go above and beyond. They are clock punchers and don’t care if you suffer if they don’t finish their job in time. The system switches your prescribers without warning and each one has a different idea of what you need. Do yourself a favor and only use this for short term situations with no other options available.

DISGUSTED
Haven’t been able to get my medication and have been battling since last week with them. My script for the month was not called in (which I already paid them for that month’s). So I contacted them, they sent an inquiry to my provider and the on call…I was told to wait until my appt (following months appt) which was the following week two days in a row. Third I quit and waited. Time of appt: provider was no show. Call again, have to wait for provider or on call to respond which can take up to 24 hours. I’m now 5 days without medication, some of which causes withdrawals when not taken. I’m disgusted. Now when I should have a nearly full script, and my following month should be called in soon, I have neither. This was not a problem I called and demanded be resolved immediately. It’s been DAYS. I’ve been offered a 30% discount on next month based on the fact that I didn’t receive what I paid 100% for the previous month. Up until now I had good experiences with them. But this many consecutive days of a run around under serious circumstances is unacceptable. Don’t use then, or be prepared to have to advocate for yourself for a week until you get your medications or services paid for.

Unimaginably awful
Unimaginably awful. They consistently fail to provide the basic services they promise, and the level of turnover is so high that you're lucky to see the same person even twice, and any attempt to address any of this is met with stonewalling and gaslighting. They should be ashamed to claim they're helping people with mental health, but they clearly have no shame.
Update: After I posted this review, Cerebral finally refunded a number of months in which they had not provided their promised service. It took hours and hours of pushing to get that to happen, time I was lucky to have but that many people certainly wouldn't. When they informed me of the refund, they also asked me to take this review down. I've told them that if they can show me proof that the underlying issues I've written about here have changed, then I'll consider it—but I won't be paid off when this accurately describes my experience.

Don't believe their promises for appointment timeframes
Cerebral promises appointments within <48 hours. I was never able to even finish signing up for the service. When I called them and asked about getting my first appointment, they told me that the first availability was a month away. I asked for a refund of the $30 that I paid because that isn't what was advertised. They agreed to only refund $9. You can't take someone's money with the promise of appointments in a couple days, then say that it's actually a month, then keep the person's money.

Scamming vulnerable customers with refund policy when service was unable to be used
I would first like to say I never write reviews but cannot believe a company is scamming people, especially people with mental health issues. I signed up for cerebral and had issues with accessing their website (on their end, my internet was working fine). I even received an email how their site was not working. I was never assigned a therapist, could not message my care counselor, and emailed multiple times with no response. I even called but they could not help me over the phone. The time I did receive a response, the link they sent me to get a therapist did not even work. I haven’t been able to use any of their services at all, and they will not give me a refund bc cerebral is a “subscription” service. The employee compared it to Netflix or Hulu, however those services would give a refund if the service was not used. They decided to give me a 30% refund. A 30% refund when I was unable to use any services? How ridiculous and unfair to customers, especially those struggling with mental health. I will be spreading this to other platforms because I am a strong but I know that people who are depressed and anxious might not have the energy to. I will not like this company take advantage of people. I work in healthcare and this is ridiculous. I will never sign up for a service like this again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I apologize for the negative initial experience with Cerebral. I see you may have dealt with tech issues on the website, response from support, as well as accessing appointments within a reasonable time frame. We do not want our clients to feel that they are paying for something they are not able to use so I apologize for any additional stress. I would love to assist you in making this right. If you would, you can email [email protected] and ask for Meagan M or Stefanie H and we would appreciate learning more about your experience and feedback. Your feedback is greatly valued as it helps us to create better experience for all clients. Looking forward to hearing from you!

It’s easy to mistreat the mentally ill. They take advantage of that.
Ironic you’re forced to concede this to cancel, when this service had left me out of meds and no refills sent in time. That is a cruel thing to do to people. It’s cruel to make them ask for medication every month! Even though it shows they have refills on their med.
it is cruel to get someone close to a therapeutic dose of medication for their mental illness, detox for 2-3 (or more)days, start back on lower dose, get back to therapeutic levels, and then run them out again.
If this were insulin or amlodipine, this company would lose their license to practice. Now I have to rush to find a provider to give me medication quickly because this service does not provide you a prescription if you cancel. Even if you have already paid for the month. These aren’t drugs to get high, these are medication that people need to function. Someone y’all do this to is going to end up hurting themselves. Shame on you.
It’s terrible you are taking advantage of people. Thanks for offering me 30% off to stay.
