I was so excited to get this service as I don't have a primary care provider currently and am struggling with my anxiety and ADHD without a doctor. I paid for my month, set up an appointment way in advance, and waited. The day of my appointment, the provider cancelled on me just a couple hours beforehand. I'm a full time student with an insane schedule and needed to see someone the day I'd scheduled for. I reached out and asked to be put with someone else. When they refused to get me in with another provider, I requested to cancel my subscription and be refunded, since I'd received zero care. I was told that was fine, and I could request a refund when I cancelled, so I went through with the cancellation. AFTER cancelling and closing my account, customer service refused to refund me, citing their user policy despite being told I'd be refunded. I obviously would have just taken a single appointment for my money if they had not said I'd be refunded. This company is a scam.

Not worth the $80 a month.
It is hard to get consistent service or keep in contact with your provider. The customer service is extremely unhelpful. Went through two agents to fix my issue and none of them listened to actually help. Their app also has bugs frequently making it impossible to schedule with your doctor.

Y'all's services are trash
Y'all's services are trash. Your counselors consistently either no-show, reschedule, or show up late for their sessions. I went 2 months without speaking to anyone. When the counselor acknowledges they are late and give a "I was with a patient in crisis" excuse it's important they know patients can see if they were actually in a call or if they were offline. The only thing good that came out of this service was being introduced to my meds. But even then, I had to check each month to see if they were actually sent to my pharmacy for pick up. My pharmacy always lets me know the second they are ready for pick up and without fail, they would be available only after I reached out. The message was always the same "oh it looks like they were ready a couple days ago." Why is my pharmacist saying otherwise?

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand where your frustrations are coming from. I know how important it is to be able to get medications on time and to have steady and reliable sessions with your care team so I apologize for any complications there. Counselors are sometimes late to appointments if they are with a patient in crisis since those sessions can run long and require extra documentation and outreach time outside of the call window to make sure our clients are safe. I would be happy to assist you with any difficulty you are running into with medications or scheduling and see how I can help. You can contact me by reaching out to [email protected].

Expensive, Business Oriented
Extremely disappointed with this company and my experience. I started with the medication and care counseling plan. The meetings with my prescriber were brief and the meetings with my care counselor were not helpful. I couldn’t afford therapy, and Cerebral didn’t offer it at the time, so I kept up on my meds and check up’s with my prescriber.
Fast forward months later, I realize my state now offers therapy through cerebral. While using the app and exploring what the therapy plan has to offer, I was charged $240; at the time, my monthly rate was $85 (not including my meds). I accidentally signed up for the therapy plan, and was not even able to utilize it before my next planned charge (6 days later for a full $325), there were no therapists with availability within the month. I contacted Cerebral about this accidental click, and was told I would only be able to receive a 30% refund, and that they spoke with a manager who confirmed this. I expressed that means I will have paid an extra $168 for a service I could not utilize, which is a huge financial hit for me, and received no response or remorse. I cancelled immediately.
Don’t get overcharged like I did. When Cerebral was contacted about how this charge impacted me, they showed no remorse and no intention of returning the money. They truly are a business and do not care about your well being.
I went to my doctor to have the same medication prescribed, I am now saving over $75 a month.

Pointless app because they can’t even get you an appointment in timely manner. Paid $40 bucks for no services rendered and have been denied a refund when their consultants are canceling appts
I literally have not been able to schedule a consultation since signing up for this service and have been refused a refund for a service that they cannot provide. I’ve been through hell and high water just to cancel it only to be told I didn’t cancel it early enough when I actually did and cerebral staff didn’t process it. I just want my money back immediately. Then I’ve been randomly scheduled multiple times for appoints sometimes 10 and 11 at night.

Cerebral gave me the worst experience…
Cerebral gave me the worst experience and added stress to my mental health. Their prescriber would not show up for our appointments on more than one occasion. My prescriber Victorya S. wouldn’t listen to my needs and would prescribe me medications that were not related to what I was seeking help for. Poor experience. And when I complained, no one apologized and I’m still waiting on my refund.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I do apologize about the missed visits from your care team and that you do not feel heard by your care team. That does sound frustrating and does not meet our high quality of care that we strive to provide. I would like to see how I can step in and help with this situation. You can contact me by emailing [email protected]. I look forward to talking further.

Unethical to the worst degree, and taking advantage of those seeking mental health care.
I began treatment with Cerebral in July of 2021 after seeing their advertisements across various social media platforms. I was at an extreme low, and really wanted to begin my mental health healing journey. Cerebral seemed like a no brainer. Easy, accessible, and fairly inexpensive.
Things were great, and by November - my mental health had deeply improved powered by 20mg of Prozac a day, and weekly meetings with my therapist (who I do not work with through Cerebral). I felt like things were beginning to improve after the dumpster fire that was 2020 and 2021. In December, I was scheduled to meet with my provider but had to reschedule due to a work conflict. I prompted to reschedule a week before my assigned time; however, could not find any availability for my prescriber. "Weird," I thought, so I inquired with my Care Counselor, Mueed. I was told that she did not have any availability for the remainder of the year numerous times, and to KEEP TRYING to reschedule. Turns out, my prescriber had left the company, and there seemed to be a lapse of communication there. Strike one.
After I was reassigned to a new provider, I went to enter my first meeting with her, only to be greeted with "I'm so sorry that I'm unable to help because I cannot prescribe ADHD medication." Back to square one. Why wasn't this looked into prior to assigning me a new provider? This is strike two.
After multiple messages with my Care Provider, and a call to Cerebral's Customer Service number, I finally received an assignment for a new Prescriber. Not that it was communicated to me, despite promises to return my call and my Care Team, but I rescheduled my appointment. Third times a charm, right?
Wrong. About an hour before my first appointment with my new provider, I receive a message prompting me to reschedule, yet again, because they had my appointment for the incorrect length of time for an intake. If you're counting, strike three. Why did no one notice again? And why is the only availability open yet again for a month later? And how is this okay?
I inquired with my Care Team on why am I expected to pay for a service, where I am not actually receiving said service. Their response was, per their terms of service, "There are no refunds regardless of whether services are utilized (including, but not limited to, Prescriber Visits, Care Counselor Visits, and medication delivery."
TL;DR - they don't care if they're ripping you off, or actually providing you a service. This company is unethical in the worst kind of way, taking advantage of those seeking mental health care, who might not have other opportunities to get help. Save yourself the time, and find a good Psychologist elsewhere.

They charge you, then the site breaks
The identity verification never functioned on my laptop on several browsers or on my phone. I contacted support and followed their suggestions (most of which I had already tried) and none of it worked. You cannot access your account at all until your identity is verified, but their tool for that is broken. They did go ahead and charge me before intake was even complete (apparently billing is functioning A-OK). I am currently in the process of attempting to cancel my account. If I am not given a refund, I will be disputing the charge due to services not rendered. Terrible experience.
