Cerebral is designed to scam you. They've been repeatedly trying to charge me, and for what? My medication is never sent in on time, I don't even have the refill they agreed to in writing yet either!
I'm going through withdrawals now which is dangerous to my health, negligent, and just downright disgusting and cruel!
And customer service? What a joke. I get an email the other day saying all these charges are an error, they closed my account BY ERROR, but would reopen it and refund me? Refund me how? I had to shut down my card to save myself from your constant fraudulent charges!!! I can't afford to sit around waiting for you scammers to figure your life out!
And not only that, it takes FOREVER for them to bother responding to you.
They haven't even TRIED to get my medication sent to my stupid pharmacy yet.
This scummy website isn't worth your time. There are better options. ANYTHING would be better than this cr*p. DON'T EVER TRY CEREBRAL.
I'm a licensed private investigator. What they're doing is illegal, negligent, and E V I L. They are only looking to take advantage of people.

These people steal your money.
If there was zero stars i would put that.
My "therapist" rescheduled my appointment two times and claimed i was a no show.
Then after i cancled due to lack of service they charged my account for $325.
No where was this priced advertised to me.
I would have never agreed to that if i had known.
Then after an ordeal with my bank i finally got the money back. Only to see this month, there are another two charges totalling to $650 coming out of my account.
These people are essentially scammers.
I don't recommend this app to any one. Not unless you want a three month head ache and horrible service.

I have been unable to sleep for weeks
Update! They just stole more money from me! Here's the email they sent this morning
Hello,
I would like to sincerely apologize for a technical error we had yesterday, March 4, 2022, which led to accidental charges on your cancelled Cerebral account. Our team is currently working to refund any incorrect charges."
I have been unable to sleep for weeks. I googled "how to get sleeping pills online". Cerebral came up as one the first options. The website had an assessment and then immediately advised me they could help. The cost was just $30. I put my information in and then the next page let me know sleeping pills are excluded. This all transpired within 3 minutes. I immediately contacted them within minutes asking for a refund. I've been told they are unable to give me a refund. I never completed the assessment and have no use for their services. They will not give me money back. Wow! Talk about anxiety inducing to be robbed from a website claiming to help people with anxiety. I DO NOT recommend. They are a scam and in the business of taking your money with no regards to the person or if they use their services. I'm not using any part of these services. I don't even have access because I never completed the registration yet they won't give me my money back. SMH. I just want to share. STAY AWAY!

Cerebral is taking advantage of people in need
My search for assistance with my mental health began much like everyone else these days - online. I Googled some symptoms of what I was experiencing in an attempt to make sense of it all and eventually determined that it was best to see a professional. After looking around the internet in search of a therapist, I eventually stumbled upon Cerebral. They portrayed themselves as this new company (they were) with clever marketing (also true) and a mission I could get behind. Plus, they had virtual therapy, a huge selling point for someone like me. So I thought to myself, "why not? let's do this!" and I signed up for a plan.
The signup process was easy enough, but it felt a little off. I knew I was signing up for therapy, or at least that's what I was led to believe, but there was very little information on how the whole thing worked. Nevertheless, I pressed forward, excited to speak to a professional about my struggles. But that's where things started to get weird...
Ready for my first appointment, I jump on a virtual call and met my provider. Not my therapist, my provider... This seems strange to me because I was under the impression I would be meeting with a therapist. After all, that's why I was here and what I signed up for. Or at least that's what I thought. (Again, the lack of detail during the onboarding process can be attributed to the confusion here.) Despite that I carry on and complete my introductory session with my provider, who happens to be a Psychiatrist. Within 15 minutes, I am diagnosed with major depression/anxiety and prescribed medication. Wow, that happened fast! And then it hit me... almost all of the ads I was served on instagram pushed medication from the get go so it should come as no surprise that my first real step with Cerebral was medication focused... Ok, so what about therapy? The real reason I was here. After a few weeks of back and forth with my 'care team' I was informed that the plan I selected did not cover therapy, only medication. Again, weird but ok. I guess I'll upgrade to the medication+therapy plan. This is where it all went downhill...
After upgrade plans and hearing nothing back from Cerebral on next steps about meeting with a therapist, I have several more follow ups with providers. Not my original provider, but a merry go-round of providers. Within a short span I was passed around to 3 different providers who all repeated the initial onboarding session - same questions, same answers. The only thing that changed is they all recommended an increase in my dosage and other medication to supplement my anti-depressants. Now I'm taking the max dose of my anti-depressant AND an additional medication for anxiety. And at no point in this process have a been able to meet with a therapist. How could this be? How could it take this long to see a therapist? I'm paying for the therapy plan, where is my therapy?
More time goes by and I am informed that there are no therapists available in my area. Ok, that seems strange considering I've been paying for the therapy plan...
Fast forward a few weeks, my overall mental health is somehow worse off than when I started this process. I'm now having panic attacks, a harder time sleeping and I'm gaining weight. All side effects of the medication I've been prescribed. I know this not because my provider told me but because I googled it. Yeah, I had to google it. Some service this is...
After all of this I finally decided enough is enough and reached out to Cerebral to cancel my plan, which kicked off a nightmare of a process and, long story short, ended with me contacting the BBB AND various consumer protection agencies (state and federal) to get my money back. Yeah, I had to file official complaints with government agencies to finally end this nightmare of an experience. Whats even more frustrating and slimy is that they continued to charge my card on file even after they acknowledged my intent to cancel AND confirmed my cancelation. Oh, and turns out the reason I was passed on to so many providers is because they were quitting in droves. Maybe the ethical concerns were too great? Either way, it should be seen as a major red flag.
TL;DR - AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! They will take advantage of you in anyway possible to make a buck. They do NOT care about your mental health or wellbeing.
Advice - if you are seeking help, look through your local network first.

Disgustingly aggressive marketing, nonexistent service offering
As a digital marketer in need of mental health care, I'm witnessing something absolutely disgusting.
It's chilling to see how aggressive this company is attempting to corner the market in mental telehealth without any actual service offering in place.
They don't give a f u c k. They're primed and in position to take advantage of someone in need.
Signed up? Great! Billing questions? Answered right away!
But no therapist. And you'll continue to pay for the therapy plan.
That's right, you have to claw your way through customer service to get a refund for the healthcare you never received.
I get that this company is trying to "build a better mousetrap" when it comes to mental health, but seriously, come on.
Get more therapists in place. That's what you're offering here. Pull the plan otherwise.
If the CEO gives a rat's ass, they'll make sure that they're actually providing the quality level of service their marketing blatantly lies about.

Scam
On March 4th 2022 at 12:28 am they made 5 transactions of $15.82 to my card on file and then deactivated my account. I’ve trying to contact them, but so far I can’t get ahold of anyone. I’d strongly advise you to look elsewhere as these people just cause more stress.

This has been by far the worst…
This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had. I paid for my first month to see a care counselor and prescriber without adding my insurance, had both appts, and really liked who I was working with. I then added my insurance to which canceled my future appts, I had to re-take the assessments, and I got the welcome messages again as if I just signed up. So, I was no longer able to see my care counselor after I had already built a connection with her and I'm not able to re-schedule an apt with her unless I take out my insurance and pay out-of-pocket. My care admin then recommended that I switch to the Medication + Therapy plan as my insurance would pay for that and it would be $29 a month, so I try to upgrade my account then they tried charging me $286 for the difference BECAUSE MY INSURANCE DOESN'T ACTUALLY COVER IT. So all of that was for nothing. There’s no real communication coming from them to help set you up with your account, walk you through the process/next steps, what to expect or answer questions which is what should have happened from the get-go. Plus, you’re not even able to see your team's information after you’ve chosen them nor can you book more appts with them. I'm so disappointed that this is how Cerebral handles their business. I had such high hopes for this service as mental health is so important, but there's clearly more work that needs to be done within this system and quite frankly should not be on the market nor helping people. I will never use this service again and will be sharing my experience with my friends and family. If this is how you guys do things here I can guarantee this won't be a business in the future. My suggestion to them is to have an onboarding call with all new users so they understand what the process is, allow for patients to see their team's information after they've selected them, allow the patients to have control over scheduling new appts if they need (isn't the point of this service to get control over your mental health?), UPDATE THEIR SYSTEM WITH THE ACTIVE PRESCRIPTIONS (it's been over a week and I still can't see my prescription on my account), and figure out the insurance process. I've wasted so much time there, it's ridiculous. Worst "mental health" solution EVER.

Unwilling to give full refund after canceling right after I signed up
Make sure this is the company you want to work with when you sign up as they are completely unsympathetic if you change your mind. I was attempting to find help as soon as I could, I looked into them and a program through my insurance. I signed up with cerebral however that same day I heard back from my insurance and was able to find local help. I was maybe registered with their company for a couple hours, received no services whatsoever and they are refusing to give me a full refund. They have refunded 30% however the money I lost I need to put towards the care I am getting with my new provider. As if finding mental health help isn’t stressful enough, this really didn’t help. People make mistakes, sign up and change their minds and are just trying to navigate what’s best for them and yet this company is not willing to refund my full amount, I’m pretty sure a company as large as this can spare it. Truly upsetting.
