I’ve been with cerebral for 6 months
I’ve been with cerebral for 6 months now and all I can say is from the start everything is smooth and easy after a couple months you may not receive one or more of your medications, only to be told they’ll contact the prescriber to get everything handle days later still no response when you finally get a response they’ll make you out to be the one that messed up. It definitely makes sense why so many people choose other companies like this. Poor communication and poor execution!!!!!

Don't sign up, the will rob you.
After struggling with my weight for years I decided to get some help. I signed up with Cerebral because I liked the idea of working on my weight from both a mental and physical aspect. Boy was I wrong! The prescriber set up a lab request for me but didn't tell me where to go, only that she would send me the info through the app. After three days of nothing I reached out to my care coordinator to get the info only to get a response of "I'll look into it". It took me reaching out to them multiple times before I got a solid answer as to where to go. By the time I got an answer and got to the lab the money for my second month already came out. Mind you I signed up in February, they made a withdraw from my account less than 30-days after I signed up. When I got a notification email that my lab results where ready, I made sure that I contacted my care coordinator to see if they have received them they assured me that they did and that my prescriber would write the prescription shortly. I waited a few days and still nothing. So I reached out again and then I was told that they were doing a insurance authorization and that it would take 5 days. I waited 7 and still no word. I decided to cancel my account with them. When I canceled I asked for a refund since I didn't get the services that I paid for only to be told " Per our billing policy, we cannot issue a refund, as a cancellation request was not registered in our system prior to the start of your new billing cycle. Since we bill using a subscription model, we are unable to reverse charges regardless of whether our services have been utilized.............When you register with us, you agree to your payment method being billed beginning on the date of registration and subsequently on a monthly basis while the account is active, even if you have yet to complete the registration, have a visit with a provider, or start taking any medications. Please refer to our Recurring Billing Policy, Payment Terms, Terms & Conditions, which you have agreed on when you signed up."
This company is predatory. It takes a lot for people to seek after the help that they need and to be put through the hoops that me and many others have is just awful. They take your money and give you no services in return. Just to hide under the guise that you signed up for a "subscription" based service. That's a bunch of bull if I ever heard it. I'm out over $200 out of pocket because I was seeking help with an issue that I have been dealing with for years, something that has taken an emotional toll on me, and I'm told that I can't even get a refund for the hoops I jumped through. They didn't even offer a partial refund.
Don't sign up for this service. Seek help elsewhere. This company is a ponzy scheme and I wouldn't be surprise to see class action lawsuit with their name on it

Cerebral does more harm than good with incompetent providers and constant switches
They changed my first doctor and mental health coordinator. My appointments were constantly pushed back to later times. The 2nd doctor was completely clueless about medications to be prescribed for ADHD and put me on medication that had severe side effects. I quit and have asked several times to have my medical records sent to my primary care doctor but they have refused to do so and blown me off several times when I've asked. Do not go with Cerebral. They are the worst.

I wish I could leave zero stars
They were great until right after my first video call. Then all communication stopped. I was given a 1 month prescription for my ADHD meds and told to make a follow up appointment. No appointment was available for 3 months, so I'm now out of meds and emailing everyday with no response until I contacted the "help line" a guy called me and told me it would be resolved that day...that was yesterday, and no communication all day today. Seriously a garbage service.
So less than 12 hours after I posted the review above, I get an email asking for more information about my review from cerebral. The monitor the review sites quicker than their own app. Unbelievable!

Nightmare
Ever since getting switched to ms. Nesbitt, crnp. The whole experience has been a nightmare. I am in withdrawal from Zoloft because nobody can get a hold of her to send my prescription to my pharmacy. I have been in contact with the care team for over a week with no results. There is no phone number to contact anyone, just text and wait. And nothing gets resolved. Biggest joke and waste of money. $85 to talk for 3 minutes on video chat with some quack of a doctor who doesn't even know about the medications and then to go into withdrawal because she can't send them to the right pharmacy. Will never use or recommend to anyone again.

IMPORTANT - please read - from one hot but unwell brown girl to another.
IMPORTANT: cerebral exploits the mental health crisis during the pandemic era. they saw an opportunity, and is squeezing the lives of people in crisis, or pushing us further into crisis. yaaay, another one for the news cycle.
one, the surface - they did not offer a full refund when i received 0 care or appointments the first month. does that make sense any sense to you? they gave me a DISCOUNT for the second month instead. i paid full price for nothing, and then an insult to injury. i was in mental health CRISIS and could afford nothing and see nobody as this is the most affordable thing out there - they said it takes a week or two to see a “prescriber”. NOT a psychiatrist. NOT an adequately experienced mental health professional. a “prescriber” - general physicians who ask yes or no questions and slap a dangerous drug on you. my prescriber, Rachael, spoke to me for a grand total of 7 minutes before giving me adderall same-day. i WAITED and PAID for 2 months of a pretty little app logo on my phone growing dusty for a 7 minute appointment. this company is king of false advertisement.
two, deeper - they AGGRESSIVELY target their ads to low income mentally unwell women who are trying to better themselves on youth platforms like tiktok. i am in that demographic - this company & their business practice chewed me up, spit me out, stomped on me, and literally, LITERALLY, drove me insane.
three, deeper - insurance coverage. i was boxed into a corner to get insurance because they kept siphoning what little money i had. as i tried to apply it, i was told the phone app doesn’t work. guess what - the browser version doesn’t work either! if you have depression, anxiety, or adhd —this sends one spinning.
four - MY EXPERIENCE. my privacy is extremely important to me. BUT - i never, ever, ever want other cute suffering ladies to go what i went through. EVER. and it’s BUILT into the system.
i believed i might have ADHD. the prescriber agreed. she spent 7 minutes with me before giving me adderall XR 10mg. the starter is actually 5mg. she didn’t know anything about me or care to ask - i have a SCHIZOPHRENIC brother. i was diagnosed with ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION at 13 years old. she didn’t bother knowing all of my medical history — only my current ongoing medications. if they did - they would have known i’ve had a three-day psychotic break from bupropion/wellbutrin. this medicine was prescribed to me for adhd symptoms but my physician wasn’t certain the cause - just to get off of it ASAP. she prescribed adderall anyway.
adderall sent me towards a 3 week psychotic break. did my ”prescriber” care that stimulants can trigger my generalized anxiety disorder into a straight out-of-body break? i genuinely, viscerally, unequivocally, believed i had 9 miscarriages, was raped, and trapped in a shed to be slowly eaten by cannibals. and guess what? my feelings are VALID. so it might as well have been true. but here’s the technical fall out: i could not WORK. i could not pay my BILLS. but worst of all…believe it or not cerebral, money isn’t everything…i blacked out for an entire week of my life. i have no idea how i ended up at a relatives house. i had no idea how long i was in a coma for. i was shocked when they told me i was screaming and writhing and impossible for an ENTIRE WEEK, before being sent to the hospital. for most people, ones FAMILY are NOT crisis care/health care professionals.
when i went to the hospital - which i could NOT AFFORD - it was a low-income area and chronically understaffed and undertrained. i was given trainees every step of the way. the local government is a separate issue - its CEREBRALS LEADERSHIP that cannot seem to look at the state of American health care as it is. EVERY LOCAL GOVERNMENT is at risk to cover the fall out from this bastardized attempt at service. knowing i had 7 minutes and 2 months to wait for it - knowing they stack 30 patients back-to-back - i understand this business & all telehealth businesses that have this model are like, totally, um, twirls hair, BLIGHTS on society. this is NOT worth a nice vacation or car. it is NOT worth your retirement savings. it is creating MASS suffering. i never thought anything like this would happen to me - i am a cute lil artsy girl who lives very straight edge lifestyle - but it did. you had the power to do good, and you abused it and abused it and continue to abuse it some more. congrats. good job.
if you are a lower-end worker: please quit. if you are a middle-manager: please walk away from any promises of growth or wealth in your career. if you are in leadership or an investor: i curse all your vacations, free-time, and pursuit of a comfortable life. money, tithe, non-profit charities, donations to strangers, mere words cannot and WILL NOT redeem this onslaught of pain to people like me, my family, my local community, & local gov.
