Beware of this company and service! They do not provide the services that you need. The counselors cancel and they have a hidden clause in the contract in which they will not pay you your full refund back; only 30%. Plus I have had issues on the app inputting my insurance. There’s tons of flaws within this company.
This company is supposed to be here for people in need, who need mental help. And they are not doing that especially during this time. From my heart to others please do not go with this company it is not right what they are doing to people.

Definitely not as easy as they make it…
Update: after this review, Morgan from Cerebral, reached out and issued a full refund. I appreciate that. I wish customer service was able to assist in doing this the first time I emailed them.
Definitely not as easy as they make it sound. Last night I had finally had enough of feeling bad and wanted to seek help. I signed up for Cerebral thinking that I would receive a lm appointment quickly, not the case. The first appointment available was 2 weeks away. I did not utilize any service, with the exception of the questionnaire to answer how my behavior has been. When I saw there wasn’t an appointment for 2 weeks, I immediately emailed customer service to cancel and refund my $30, as their services would not benefit me. I don’t feel I can wait 2 weeks for an appointment. I was told they would do a 30% refund because and I am copying and paying this from the email they sent “ Regardless of whether or not users take advantage of the features included in their subscription, we still have to compensate our team members for being available to provide our clients with the dedicated support they deserve.”. Not one single team member helped me and therefore I don’t feel I should
have to pay anything. So, BEWARE that even though they are asking for your money upfront, their services are not provided up front. Please see full email from customer service below.

Hello O*****,
My name is Charlott - a Coordinator here at Cerebral.
I am sorry to hear that you'd like to cancel your service at this time. I’ve gone ahead and processed your cancellation request.
Please refer to our Recurring Billing Policy & Payment Terms: there’s was a link here, but google wouldn’t allow me to post / and Terms & Conditions, to better understand the terms and conditions of our subscription model. Which all our clients agree to during registration, there are no refunds granted regardless of whether any services were utilized. We’re a subscription-based service, so clients are paying for access to all our services and features. Regardless of whether or not users take advantage of the features included in their subscription, we still have to compensate our team members for being available to provide our clients with the dedicated support they deserve.
So while we’re unfortunately unable to issue a full refund, we are willing to make an exception this time and have issued a partial refund of 30%. You should see the funds back in your account in about 5-7 business days.
We believe mental health care is a lifelong journey for each of us, and we hope you'll reconsider continuing your journey with us in the future!

***profit over people***
***profit over people***
I signed up for cerebral not knowing if they would accept my insurance or not. There is no list that they provide or list you can check without subscribing to a monthly subscription.
Upon completion of signing up (which includes membership and payment) you can check a list of insurance accepted to which my insurance was not.
I then cancelled without using any services what so ever.
Even though I didn’t use their services or even talk to a therapist.
They will not issue a full refund.
***I do not recommend this business***
as it seems to prioritize profit over people who actually want to get help and can not afford to lose out on this money.
If they had accepted my insurance I would have continued care as I’m sure the therapists are lovely, but after this experience I not only will not ever use their services I will not refer/recommend them to any one else.
*** Terrible customer service ***
This is all after emailing with customer service.

Your service is completely unreliable…
Your service is completely unreliable and unprofessional. Every month has been a fight to get my medications because your staff is unresponsive and not trustworthy. I have been ghosted many times for my appointments and I have asked weeks ago how to get off my medications which, apparently per your representatives have been unable to get ahold of any provider in your network. I cancelling your service and do not authorize you to further bill my card on file. This will serve as formal proof that I will keep in my records and if I am charged ever again, I will fully pursue you within my legal rights.

Time waster
Time waster - avoid.
I’ve been with Cerebral for about a year and a half. That’s a year and a half too much. Very rarely did I actually get any care or replies even from my own care team.
My medication provider changed every single appointment, and you only get 15 minutes once a month. That’s diabolical, really. So every appointment, I’d have to catch up the new medication provider with my life story in just 15 minutes and answer all the same initial questions all over again, only to get a message later that same day that the medical provider had left Cerebral and I’d have to wait another month to start with someone new, who would inevitably leave soon after that appointment, or even the day before the appointment so I’d have to wait another month. So my meds have been all over the place. Very frequently, I’ve been left with no meds at all for weeks at a time because of this.
The care coordinator changes often too; Cerebral seems to have an extremely high turnover. So I hardly get replies regarding being out of meds, and the appointment calendar they send you in the app to schedule your next medication management appointment (again, only a dire 15 minutes), never works. Never. It’ll show that there are no appointments for years. Actual years, I am not exaggerating whatsoever.
The therapy is also pretty poor, to be honest. I have ADHD and my therapist (read: social worker, not a real therapist or psychologist) would take it personally when I would be late to an appointment or miss an appointment - I could only ever really schedule for one a month, as you’re told there is no availability for more, even though I’ve already paid for it. Extra sessions are $30 a pop. Not bad if they actually happen. The “therapist” would then shame me for being late. Again, I have ADHD. That’s a textbook symptom. Unmanaged ADHD at that, because they’re failing at actually getting any medication to me. The “therapist” would also routinely interrupt our 30 minute sessions to talk about her own life and show off her pets or her nails. That’s not useful to me. And she would also give quite poor advice that yielded me bad consequences when putting it into practice in my family relationships. She also completely misdiagnosed me at one point with a different condition and had the meds I was on stopped abruptly with no resolve, as the medication provider was never consistent in terms of who or when, as described earlier, because of the high turnover and lack of appointment setting support.
My meds have also changed a lot over the past year and a half; several SSRIs with my Vyvanse stimulant that was dosed originally at 10mg when the starting dose is supposed to be 30mg. I’ve been on 10mg for a year, and that’s with massive gaps from when I haven’t been given an appointment to renew the Rx or they say they’ve sent it, the provider has quit Cerebral, and then the care coordinator is useless at finding what pharmacy it was sent to (sometimes it’s been sent to a pharmacy that doesn’t even exist) and it’s just a wild goose chase for weeks, sometimes months, all the while my medication has run out and I’ve been forced to go cold-turkey. In what world is that okay? Also, regarding the frequent change in SSRIs - they require a tapering. That’s common knowledge.
Still to this day, they have not canceled my membership. I’ve been trying for 2 months now, and in these past two months, the care team has stopped communicating with me completely and I have not been able to get any appointments in the dashboard whatsoever, unless I want an appointment in the year 2025! They have still been taking money out of my account though, they have no problems there, funnily enough. I’m sure I’ll get the same old copy/paste reply here from a “concerned” admin staff member who promises they can make it all better if I just email the support email address. Right, because I’d rather spend time writing this out on a review site for others to read, than simply emailing a fix-all email address. I’ve emailed dozens of times. No replies, no help. You’re useless. Cerebral is the biggest waste of time and money I’ve ever encountered. No cap.

Hi Flynn, it's disheartening to see that you've been so negatively impacted by these challenges with the service. We value all the feedback we receive from our clients as we continue to improve and do appreciate you taking the time to explain. I can understand how unexpected changes within your Care Team could definitely impact the care that you received, and it sounds like we could have supported you better here with accommodating your scheduling and treatment needs as well.
We'd like to make this right and do our best to assist how we can. We encourage you to reach out to us at [email protected] for direct support from Meagan or Stefanie. Alternatively, you can leave your contact information by responding to TrustPilot's request and we'll be sure to get in touch with you.

Strongly do not recommend this company
Strongly do not recommend this company. I struggle with both depression and ADHD and was excited over the notion of being able to receive care from home but after some exchanges with the support team via both phone and email it is very clear this company is solely interested in profits only and not actually helping people. Because, once you sign up the the service that help and understanding goes right out the window. When I experienced a similar subscription issue with companies such as Adobe, they were handled with professionalism and understanding, which is wild when you think about it. A company like Adobe had better compassion and understanding for their customer than the company that is masquerading around as a platform to support those struggling with mental health. A company like this has no business being in this field. They are exploiting people who are struggling for their bottom line profits.
