Don’t give them your money! You will only get a 30% refund even if you deserve 100%! Don’t believe they are special offers either! Once they get your money you won’t get it back! Don’t do it especially if you don’t have money to lose! Once they get your money you will not get it back but maybe 30% at the most! They are supposed to help you - shame on them! They do not do the right thing by the customer! Beware and be warned!

The first appointment with the prescriber Stacey went well. Had ADHD and REALLY bad insomnia. So she prescribed something interesting that Cerebral suggests for both. So I took it for 2 weeks. NADA. I went back in to Cerebral to see if they could prescribe me something more traditional for insomnia. I was thinking ambien XR or seroquel. There was a blurb on seeing your prescriber again if you needed a different medication. Their process! Sounds good. But the second time, Stacey was a brick wall, listened to nothing I said, and giving standard useless "medical" advice. "Maybe this, maybe that" As if I am stupid and know nothing about this (I am a research biologist by the way, I know plenty about insomnia). How about a sleep study. had one 15 years ago. Wasnt sleep apnea. (they looked sad). And a bunch of useless cognitive behavioral therapy crappola that I told her I HAD ALREADY TRIED INCLUDING RECENTLY AND THEY ARE USELESS FOR ME. I again said I WANT TO TRY A MORE STANDARD INSOMNIA MED. Again, brick wall. I used cerebral, because I had a brick wall hospital network doctor who prescribed me trazadone, which didnt work, so he prescribed me more which didnt work. I said to Stacey: I JUST WANT TO TRY THESE FOR A WEEK. IF THEY DONT WORK THEY DONT WORK. Again, brick wall Stacey. Maybe you should try a sleep specialist. I said THAT WOULD TAKE SEVEN MONTHS!!! What is the damn purpose of Cerebral if they dont do what they say they are there for? So much for fast and flexible service. So WHAT IS THE POINT ON THEIR WEBSITE OF REQUESTING A DIFFERENT MED IF THE FIRST DIDNT WORK???? I canceled. The sad thing is, I was so intrigued by their whole business model. Unfortunately, they seem to employ some brick walls who are stone deaf. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used telehealth in the past with a different company. I used cerebral after bad luck with a local psychiatrist. I was prescribed an SSRI at cerebral which I gladly took. When it was time for me to schedule a follow-up appointment, my “primary” provider had herself blocked off for the rest of the month and was only available Fridays. Customer service said she wasn’t responding to their messages about a follow up appointment or for refilling the medicine I had started on so I didn’t run out. Not only did I run out of medicine but they couldn’t accommodate an appointment. When I messaged them to tell them I was finding a new provider, they said they understood and that was that. For someone already in a fragile state of mind, cerebral really disappointed me and made my mental health worse. I would suggest doing your research and finding a more reliable provider who actually cares about improving your mental health.

Cerebral is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. I used their service one time and found it wasn’t for me. I canceled and was told they would have to call me to confirm the cancellation. They never called but continued charging. I have this canceled 3 additional times and still no call…but hundreds of dollars charged to me. No services, no calls, no offer to help cancel. Just thrives that target those looking for help with mental health issues. They know that there is a stigma for their targets and therefore they take advantage. Terrible company. Terrible people.

I started with Cerebral back in September 2021 and I was very impressed from the get-go. My meetings with my therapist were great and the prescriber was very helpful to over the matter of three months we got my bipolar medication leveled and started on ADHD medication and dosage adjusted to what was working for me. I’ve been taking the same amount of medication and the same medication since January and all of a sudden at the end of February I had a new provider suddenly. When I had my appointment with her I mentioned that I just picked up my new script for ADHD meds and the dosage was changed from twice a day to once a day. She said that didn’t really make sense and to continue taking it as I’ve been taking it she wouldn’t be able to help me with medication because of the Depakote I was taking and I would need to see another provider but not to worry it would get settled. Three weeks later after multitudes of messages and emails to Support I’ve been assigned to a new provider who has told me that I will not be getting any ADHD medication that I don’t have ADHD and he has not actually met with me not once. So now I am out of medication after trying to prevent it from happening . I started a new job because for the first time in my life my adhd was controlled. Now I am suddenly left without medication and told that I need to go see someone in person. Which wouldn’t have been a problem three weeks ago when I wasn’t out of medication would’ve been a little bit easier for me to make appointments and things like that. Now I’m sitting here hoping that I don’t get thrown into a depressive episode because I do have bipolar disorder and I’ve been taking the maximum dose of Adderall every day for the last three months as prescribed. To think that that isn’t going to affect my mental health to just stop it suddenly not even allow me to taper it off and just leave me hanging is completely unethical from a doctor standpoint. Seriously Cerebral will make you feel so happy and feel like your mental health is under control and you’re not a piece of crap loser who can’t do anything. And then they’ll rip the rug right out from underneath you and that rug is support and medicine and you’ll be left hanging.

I signed up nearly a month ago and no therapist appointments were available. After reaching out to support I was given an appointment for several weeks later, which the therapist cancelled via e-mail a few hours before. I have requested a refund several times and am not expecting this terrible company to give it to me. Beware also that cancellation is not simple, and I still can’t tell if I’m canceled or if they’re going to charge me when my month is up.

I was very excited to start working with cerebral- it seemed like a convenient way to manage my anxiety and adhd. I met my care counselor, who is lovely, and my prescriber, who is observant, open-minded, and responsive. The problem is that my care coordinator acts as a gatekeeper, can’t manage to coordinate with my prescriber whether prior approval was correctly given to my pharmacy, and doesn’t seem to understand that waiting a month between a refill request and obtaining the refill is excruciatingly disruptive to managing my symptoms. Since that time my refill requests and appointments are out of tandem and she refuses to accept (or to confirm) that my prescriber asked me to message her when I need a refill since we spoke LAST WEEK. I’ve also emailed to see about switching care coordinators but all I got was a canned response that, “we don’t guarantee you a prescription.” Which is a bizarre response considering that that is not the issue. Update 4/37/22: I responded to Cerebral’s request for more info (below) but never heard from them. They’re less responsive than they pretend to be.
