Not a fan at all! Cerebral says you will have a care team, but always took at least 48 hours to hear from anyone. Website said they have licensed therapists, I was paired with an unlicensed therapist. And was told I would have weekly sessions, but after first session, my therapist could not see me for 2 weeks. Found another place that only charges you when you have a session.

So far I feel like I paid for nothing. I was prescribed medication that my insurance doesn't cover. The app and website keeps telling me I haven't had an appointment with a prescriber, but I did on the first day and was prescribed the same day. I don't want to deal with meeting another person and going through explaining my condition AGAIN. Really disappointed in the lack of customer service response. I thought I was going to get some help, but it's been incredibly frustrating. I'll update if anything changes.

After a 5 minute discussion, I had medication prescribed (never used medication before). A week later I had a discussion with a counselor--note they never identify these counselors as doctors so I don't think they're real psychologists. I later had a visit with my regular doctor and she was very unhappy about the way the dosage was done and changed it. The WORST part is that I canceled on 4/1 then on 4/22 they charged me. I contacted them and confirmed my cancellation request. Then they billed me on 5/22. Then I contacted them again. They said they added a cancel option to my account and, even though I notified them of my cancellation, I have to go in then click on My Account, then click on Change my subscription, then click to cancel. So what they did when I requested they cancel was just add that as an option, which they didn't do till after my first complaint about the 4/22 charge. AND the Cancel Button isn't even on your account unless they turn that option on for you. So if you try to cancel, they add steps instead of canceling and then keep charging you. That "Cancel" button should always be right there any time someone wants it and continuing to charge after multiple emails and support tickets is unethical. If a company is unethical in one way, I don't trust it to be ethical with my mental health.

My psychiatric nurse was great until shortly after the company sent out two sketchy emails. The first email requested a bunch of private info (including social sec number) which should NEVER be requested via email. The second announced that they will not be prescribing controlled substances after October 1st (or thereabouts.) Let’s start with the most important point: I don’t take anything that is a “party” drug. It would be a very short and snoozy party. However, lots of medications nobody thinks of are considered “controlled substances.” My thinking today was, “Okay, we need to talk about transitioning to a new provider.” I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to get off of a prescription sleep aid, but if you have, you know the last thing you need in your life is a 4-5 month time limit. (If that sounds good to you, bless your heart.) Even when she said that she wants to reduce the dosage to 3/4 of what it was A. fine by me. If it’s enough, fine. B. don’t talk to me like I’m a toddler in one breath when you want me to just agree with you by default and in another say, “you would agree that’s a hefty dose.” (And no. It’s not hefty.) I’ve read the studies. Many people take significantly more. She then “mansplained” that some newer prescribers won’t even write prescriptions for this medication. Okay, incompetent people exist in all professions. Threatening someone with that prospect is not okay and that’s exactly what it is here. I don’t know who’s bestie posted a bunch of smash reviews in the past hour, but don’t be fooled. Just check press releases in the news feed about Cerebral. It’s like a boyfriend: if he treated other girls that way, you won’t be special. Consider yourself warned.

I had a nice provider for a while who saw my documentation and helped me get my medication. I then moved across the country. Basically had a complete mental breakdown after seeing Dr. Jesus Romero and wouldn't recommend it. The provider wasn't interested in even calling my original psychiatrist before Cerebral or discussing other options with me, he basically mansplained and tried to convince me I was depressed, addicted to alcohol, even though I told him I drink one glass of wine a week. The doctor walked me out the door and treated me like I was just a druggy trying to find medications. I've been thoroughly tested and diagnosed with ADHD in Georgia, and if he even took the time to listen or discuss other options, he would have, but he didn't. He doesn't care about his patients and Cerebral just wants your money. I've never had a doctor make me feel so bad in my life.

Dangerous and irresponsible medication that will likely cause death at some point.

It was an awful call where I felt more interrogated than supported. I wouldn’t recommend your service to anyone. Their prescriber wasn’t exactly what I would call compassionate, or even understanding of my past history with mental health. I have sought support before and have never been talked to in such a way. I was absolutely appalled at the way he was using my own mental health past against me, as if to say that he knows my body and mind better than I do after a very impersonal 15 minutes. If you choose to go with this service, please reconsider.

Was getting low on medication. Asked the support chat what the status of my medication shipment was, as I was billed a few days ago. Told me they will not be shipping out until I have an appointment with my provider. No appointments available this week. Now I'm out of medicine and get to go through withdrawals. If my mental state is not ok once my body adjusts to medicine withdrawal I'll be going to better help. What a joke. My old provider specifically told me NOT to cold turkey this medicine and said they didn't want me to run out of this dosage randomly. Until then no issues with them. Payment was affordable for me and I was seeing great improvements to my health. Turnover rate must be high for a reason, hopefully they fire the jack@ss that told me it's mandatory for a consultation before refilling. Maybe put a note in the box with the medicine on the last available dosage letting your patients know. *Edited to reply* I've been suffering from effexor withdrawals for the last 5 days and it has not been fun whatsoever. Not interested in extending the sickness by going back on effexor and starting the process all over again.
