Like other reviews have said, they have been charging my debit card with significant, non specific charges literally months after I canceled with them. I had paid everything I had agreed to pay and they still keep taking money out of my account for shady, no specific reason. And I can’t figure out how to get it to stop, since they should not be able to do that since I canceled my membership. Ironically, I went seeking help for anxiety and they have caused me much more anxiety in the long run. What a scummy scam preying on people seeking help for mental health. Do not use Cerebral!!! I completely regret it. They just want to scam you for money.

They are scamming people looking for help. I think they count on keeping money for doing nothing. When I found out that they do phone, not online consultations, I tried to cancel, but the App kept me locked into onboarding mode, which no doubt would cause more problems canceling. I sent an email within 30 minutes of signing up and they said I have to cancel through the App, however that is not possible.

If I could give negative stars I would. If you are looking for drugs and not therapy this is your go to place! The charges? Ridiculous! And they continue to charge your card even after you have cancelled your membership and taken down your credit card information. Charge after charge after unaccounted for charge. When I called to get a refund they said they dont do refunds, “tough luck.” Their customer service? She yelled at me, raised her voice and said she wouldnt give me any refunds. This company is a joke. Fraud. Taking advantage of people seeking help.

DO NOT TRUST THIS company with your financial information. They have been taking money out of my account for 7 months and ive never recieved any service or product from them. On the phone theyve told me they would take care of it and of course, didnt. Im constantly online and on the phone with my bank to deal with them. Its so miserable. Stay away!!!!

I would give a 0 if I could. This service harmed my mental health rather than help it. The only consistency in the app is taking people’s monthly payments. This is a cooperation taking advantage of vulnerable people who are looking for mental health help. Some food for thought: capitalizing off of people’s vulnerabilities on a mental health app might make their mental health worse. Do not sell a service that you cannot provide. There are never follow up appointments available within the needed timeframe to align with life-altering medication changes; and beyond that, never any counselor care appointments available when they should be provided monthly. Horrific customer service- no calls back, no follow ups, lack of ACTUAL help, overall sense that staff does not care, no help with appointment availability, constantly switching counselors and drs, etc. I hope this app gets shut down ASAP.

When I first signed up they charged me $41 per month. I added my insurance because they quoted me that I would be paying less than this price. Only after I cancelled my services with them, 6 months later I received a bill for $142 for a visit because I attached my insurance and this was after they charged my insurance $477 for the exact same service I received before I entered my insurance information. I would put no stars if that was an option, this company has done so many things incorrectly over the last year of dealing with them. Most notably my last attempt to fill my prescription from them, the HEB pharmacy I always go to was unable to fill the rx due to the information sent from the "Doctor" didn't match any of my info with the pharmacy. I went almost a full two weeks without my medicine because of their incompetence. Not only that but they have filed so many claims on my insurance, literally every two weeks. I have not received services the past two months yet they still are filing more claims and then trying to double charge me for an appointment that I had in March of 2022. This company doesn't care about their customers, they just want to make as much money as they can before they are all sent to prison for violating federal laws regarding controlled substances.

This has been, without a doubt, the absolute worst excuse for a medical provider I have ever encountered. I started with Circle Medical for an ADHD evaluation. They performed this service and then referred me out to Cerebral. I started on the medication/therapy plan, for which Cerebral claims Anthem and other companies are in-network and they will directly bill your insurance. First, the billing piece is a LIE. They NEVER submitted a claim to my insurance until I tried to submit the other plan's invoices (which took months to get from Cerebral, because the receipts they give you are not insurance compliant). The claims they did submit did not match the dates or prices on my invoices. Basically, they charged me $139 and told my insurance they'd billed me $2.55. If you do the medication/care counseling plan, they will NOT bill your insurance, or provide invoices you can submit to your insurance unless you hound them about it. And after all that, Anthem, at least, refuses to accept the claims because Cerebral IS in-network but doesn't bill them directly. Second, I switched off the therapy plan because you're paying for four therapy sessions a month. I got one session in over a month-long period. Cerebral needed to reassign my therapist, I guess, and took a month to do so, and then assigned someone random (originally you get to pick based on their profile/specialties) with no near-term availability. Third, the actual services are not great. It took seven months to get any adjustment in my medication when the entire purpose of the service was medication management. I had been on the same medications for over a year (starting about eight months before signing up with Cerebral) without progress before I finally got changes in my medication. The prescriber clearly never read my file and would argue with me about strange things, like saying I'd been prescribed a medication for ADHD that I'd been taking for years before ever being diagnosed with ADHD. The care counselor was good, but that was the only positive. Customer service is not very responsive and definitely not helpful. They'll go back and forth with you for WEEKS in their chat before telling you to email someone specific instead. I couldn't even get them to give me my prescriber's phone number when my OWN DOCTOR requested it because the prescriber told me to ask them to write my prescriptions since she can't (telehealth providers can no longer prescribe controlled substances, like stimulant medications). Instead, they took two weeks to send me my own medical records. This has been a horrible, horrible experience. I should've been able to easily submit my invoices for reimbursement and I can't get any of them processed because of Cerebral's sketchy billing, which leaves me out over $1,000 I never would have paid if I had known it would go this way. AVOID. ETA The prompt response to a critical review is admirable, but for the fact that I’ve been in correspondence with them for literal months about all of this. I just spent 30 more minutes on messaging Cerebral and Anthem about the exact same issues. Oh, and I wanted to add that I’ve just discovered that my prescriber was misgendering me (a trans person) in my medical records. The amount of stress this behavioral health service has caused and the amount of time I’ve wasted dealing with them and my insurance to get nowhere… again, avoid.
