For the first time ever
For the first time ever, I feel understood and like there’s hope of improving my mental state. I’ve been anxious as long as I can remember. Genuine care
I have been waiting and have been hesitant to receive help for the symptoms I have been experiencing. I was fearful of my symptoms being dismissed or over looked, as often times in the world they can be. During my initial meeting with the provider, I felt listened to and I felt genuine care. I finally opened up about everything I was dealing with, for years. The provider provided feedback on what was going on, asked questions and made me feel validated on my concerns. Honestly I tried not to get emotional, because to finally feel listened to, and knowing that what I was experiencing was something that I can receive help with and it was actually something, made me feel so much relief. Everyday I struggle in some part of my life because of ADHD and knowing what it is and that I can receive the help I need, means everything to me.
