$85/month and only talking to the provider every three months, so basically it’s $255/appointment. There’s cheaper options. If you live in a state where alternatives exist, don’t use Cerebral. Funny enough, I can’t even schedule with my provider; Cerebral locks you out despite giving constant reminders to schedule the the provider. It’s ridiculous. I also asked to change providers months ago, and it was ignored outright. My provider has zero communication and disregards my previous med issues, so I asked both in email AND within the app to change. It was ignored both times. Cerebral themselves has terrible communication period. It’ll take you weeks to months to get problems resolved if you have them. You likely will, too. EDIT: forgot to mention they’re not trans-inclusionary and constantly dead name.

EDIT: After posting have added one star back as they reached out and refunded the rest of my money. Given that nobody should have to go this far to get a refund leaving the remainder of the review below. Scummy service that takes advantage of people. Appointment availability not disclosed until after signing up and paying for services, appointments were booked out for over a month meaning zero services were available to me during the month of subscription. Company refused to provide a refund and offered just $9 back after multiple emails. Have disputed with bank.

I was recommended Cerebral by a therapist. It took a while (multiple days) just to sign up because their insurance verifier was refusing my information. Tech support was no help. I emailed them twice and the second reply was basically "figure it out yourself" so I decided to just continue without any insurance as the medication is only about $30 After this, I did have an appointment with a prescriber quickly. They give you many options and I selected the next day at 10 am but I could've had it the same day even. The appointment with the prescriber felt very rushed and scripted. Obviously, this company doesn't have time to make any real connection with customers unless you are paying them more. She had even told me in the beginning that she knew she was rushing because she had another appointment only 30 minutes after mine. Why schedule them so close today if you know you will be rushing before it even starts? So I'm in this appointment and I explain my past medical history. I tell her that I have taken Wellbutrin in the past and did not have any negative reactions to it so I would like to try it again. I also explain there are 2 other medications (Prozac+another one) I've tried and I don't recall which but I had a negative reaction emotionally to one of them. I wanted to stick to the one I knew was safe. She pretty much ignored me, told me that Wellbutrin CAUSES anxiety, and prescribed me Prozac. I was flustered because she basically just told me she was going to give me Prozac and I felt a little unheard. After talking to my mom I decided to switch to my primary care doctor who will actually listen but not before trying to cancel my account. It should be illegal to make consumers jump through hoops to get out of a subscription!!! First, there's no information anywhere on your normal account page on how to cancel your subscription, but there is plenty of information on how to upgrade it. I had to do a separate google search "how to cancel cerebral" just to figure it out. Then I had to email them, REQUESTING that they cancel my account! I'm sorry, I'm not requesting it, I'm telling you to. Then, after I sent that email (which I just typed "cancel account" because what the hell am I supposed to send?!), I had to wait for an email back with a form to fill out to cancel my account. If you don't WAIT for the return email and fill out the form your account is not cancelled yet. THIS IS THE SAME CRAP SCAM ARTISTS PULL AND SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED! Not to mention the thoughtless care the "care team" gives you FOLLOW-UP - Somebody from Cerebral did reach out to me and offer me a refund for the trouble

I have used Cerebral for less than a year and have already had 3 providers and 2 care counselors. The company changes these without my knowledge or consent. As with any other provider, I feel this is an aspect of care which should be discussed with me as a patient prior to any changes but it is not. Whichever provider you choose in the beginning will most likely not stay as your primary provider for very long. It is difficult to find and schedule appointments with either one in comparison to my work schedule. I haven’t seen my care counselor since August due to scheduling conflicts. At my last appointment with the provider I felt as though I was being scolded for life decisions I make as a 41 year old working mother of five. I am educated in healthcare and I am aware of the choices I make and the effects of those choices. However, since this did not align with the provider’s views, she raised her voice and continued to attempt to educate me. Her viewpoint was acknowledged and then I continued to make “my case” in my own defense. I’m currently using it as a way to obtain medications for my mental health but will soon be transferring to a primary provider within the facility where I work. For me, it has not been worth the $85/month. Also if you get meds, send them to a local pharmacy because at least then your insurance will cover the expense. I have HealthPartners and pay more through Cerebral than I do having it sent to my local pharmacist.

Scheduling on here is pretty bad. Getting into the meetings is also confusing and difficult. Getting medicine prescriptions from my local pharmacy was incredibly easy, but all 3 of my prescriptions gave me horrible side effects and didn’t help with my specific issues. I feel like it is close to impossible to get an accurate diagnosis and everything gets written off as “anxiety”. It also takes over a month to contact your prescriber and get a new medication: even if you are having “side effects that affect less than 15% of people” on ALL THREE medications.

Therapist was AMAZING 🙌🏼 and that was the only good thing. My provider changed 3 times in less then 6 months, communication between the care team (NOT including the therapist) was horrible and response time on the portal used for you to ask any questions or needs was awful. When short term disability forms were needed to be completed the communication back to me was “the provider stated she doesn’t fill these out”. The ONLY 5 star worthy item was my therapist

It’s okay, they never have appointments when you need them and the medication takes forever to arrive. Kinda expensive also.

My experience with Cerebral lasted less than a day and I will never recommend it to anyone. The concept is great, I will give them that. I've been seeing ads constantly for the last couple weeks and finally decided to give them a try. One of the ads said most people see someone within 3 days which was great as wait times in my area were way longer than that. I did the long process of signing up and they have you pay before you even get to see appointment options. When i finally got the appointment options, there was nothing available for 3 weeks. I wasn't expecting 3 days because that ad did say "most" people get help in that time, but 3 weeks was way longer than I wanted. So I immediately sent a request to cancel and asked for a refund as I didn't even get to set up an appointment. This was all within 30 minutes. The cancellation process took a couple days and then I get an email stating that they do not give refunds but will make an exception this time to give a partial refund which was less than half of what I paid. I understand that it is in the terms & conditions (that no one reads), but maybe that info should be made more visible at checkout and you shouldn't be required to pay before you've made an appointment. I thankfully found help elsewhere and got an appointment within a day, but I am anxious and stressed about the fact that I'm out the money I paid for a service I didn't even use. This all felt like such a money grab and it is unfair to take advantage of people who may be struggling and looking for help. This was the verbiage which doesn't really explain the rationale of why you can't get a refund and doesn't even go with my situation. I would get it if I used the service even once, but the thing is I didn't get to use it all. "As outlined in our Terms & Conditions, which all our clients agree to during registration, there are no refunds granted regardless of whether any services were utilized. We’re a subscription-based service, so clients are paying for access to all our services and features. Mental healthcare tends to go at a different pace for everyone as some clients use our services daily while others choose to use them more sparingly." UPDATE: The refund was resolved. I do still stand by the fact that they shouldn't require payment until you've seen someone or made an appointment. They also should make it more clear that they don't do refunds.
