The Path to Good Mental Health
After a traumatic couple of years I had, I felt a spiral and then the pandemic didn't make it any easier. It started with me being late to work, avoiding people, procrastinating, then taking days off of work at a time, hiding in my house and sleeping or not sleeping at all, over eating the worst things I can combined or not eating at all. I lost interest in doing anything even if it was good for me. Lost a couple part time jobs and almost lost my apartment. Had a slight developed fear of being outside and everything made my heart skip a beat because of nerves. Cleaning was never done either.... I just didn't function. I started Cerebral near the end of 2020 and I am glad I did. I began to understand how to deal with my mental health in healthy ways. I smiled more, was less anxious and more in the moment, restarted hobbies and found new ones, work life improved; I felt like myself. I did move to a new state and experienced some financial hardship which resulted in stopping my services for a time and I hated it. But as soon as I got my services restarted they didn't hesitate to get me a care team and in an appointment right away after my assessment. I'm currently back on my road to good mental health again and I thank the entire Cerebral team for being there on my journey. This path can be difficult but with the right people and support, you will succeed. I feel like I will be successful and growth in the process.
