My Cerebral review with Provider Sheena Loving: I need desperate help with my Mental Health and explained to her my local doctor can't get me into a psychiatrist until December(its September). I have a grant with them as I cannot afford paying out of pocket. I went online at Cerebral to get help and paid (even though i cannot afford it) to get help. I have anxiety, which makes my heart race. She in return told me she couldn't help me or prescribe me anything because I need medical clearance for a heart condition(that I don't have and Noone in my family has). Everyone with anxiety, has their heart race. I have been trying for 7 months to get help. Any avenue I go down has failed me. I even found out she is in Houston, not far from me (so i could have seen her to get medical cleared, but she didn't mention she was only an 1 hour from me and could help me in her office that i later located) Thank you for failing me too, instead of helping someone who needs desperate help with their mental health. Choose someone else! She won't help you!

I am beyond disappointed in this company. My care counselor was changed 4 times in 5 months with no real explanation. I could never make appointments until the next payment was made. But the icing on the cake was when they charged me for my medication, but never sent it. I ran out. They tried to fix it by sending it to my local pharmacy, but they couldn’t fill it because the prescriber isn’t authorized in my state. I ended up having to call my primary doctor to get my meds, after being out of them for 3 days. Now I’m attempting to cancel, and am being given form after form and run around after run around. The only good thing that came out of this experience was discovering lexapro. After cerebral told me to contact them over this review, they then tried to charge my card again.

*update* I was contacted by a customer service representative after this post. I was given a refund for my month. At that point I felt the situation was resolved…However, I was then charged for the next month after I had my cancellation reference number, and was assured that it didn’t happen. I then screenshotted the charge and confirmation #. I haven’t heard a word since!! So even with the professionalism for Om the rep, I’m still dealing with issues! Use at your own risk is all I can say at this point! Original post: I will simply state that I have been a member for a little over a month. I have had my counselor switched already due to “conflict of schedule,” I informed my medication provider that I couldn’t continue on the medication he switched me to about a month ago. I asked to be switched. I was told I need to speak with my provider which I understand, but he isn’t available until mid October. I have been trying to be patient as I also keep getting messages saying that I need to reschedule, yet my appointments are already made, and I have yet to even meet my counselor! Very unprofessional and poor communication.

The provider failed to show for the conf. Sent message to customer care as requested. Four days later no response. Requested to be dropped from the program, no response. Verified email and resent. No response. One has to question the validity of the program.

I'm not very impressed with Cerebral. My prescriber is great BUT I can't seem to get an appointment with a Care Counselor and the only availability is weeks out. I can get my doctor to prescribe for me for free on my insurance so I am not even sure why I want to pay for this when I have yet to even see my assigned care counselor and that was the main reason why I signed up for this. My friend recommends a different online service and I am going to go to that one where they have available appointments!

Waste of money. I’ve been using cerebral for a few months now. The only reason I’ve lasted that long is because of a few discounts I was given. The first time I used it, it was excellent. I got in with a prescriber immediately. Then I found out that prescriber couldn’t diagnose me, so they sent me to someone else. The second prescriber gave me a treatment plan. I took my medication for a month, and I never received anything else. Turns out, my treatment plan expired and no one bothered to tell me. Fast forward to my third prescriber…She didn’t even bother to show up to me the appointment. It was only because I contacted the coordinator that I found out she was on leave. Mind you this whole time I haven’t seen the counselor because she was on leave too. So they give me a 4th prescriber and my 2nd counselor. Then they contact me and tell me my counselor has to change my appointment. She doesn’t have anything available until October. I have been off of medication for over a month. I haven’t seen a counselor. I’m on my second care coordinator. They can’t seem to keep anyone to work there. I choose not to go to the Phoenix VA for this very reason. I’ve brought this up to them several times, and all they can offer me is a discount. I don’t want a discount. I want to be seen by a mental health provider. I’ve paid all of this money for essentially nothing. From the sound of other reviews, Cerebral you’re really taking advantage of people with mental illnesses. I’d give this 0 stars if I could.

So I had set an appointment with my prescriber in my care counselor the soonest appointment they had was about September 8 and I made an appointment in early August. I signed into my appointment “checked in” with my name like you have to do during your video appointment. The app would not let me allow permissions for my microphone even though I kept hitting okay, my provider Valerie even said that she was there but she decided to cancel and cancel and call it a no-show when indeed I actually was there and did sign my name you could go back into the coding and probably see it. So I was going to reschedule my appointment The soonest that they have is November just because their app decided not to work I missed my appointment for mental health this is not ideal program for people who are struggling with severe depression or severe anxiety. If your symptoms are mild and you can mind waiting that long then I guess this program is for you but they do not care about their patients they only care about their money and that is exactly what I figured out today I do not recommend this app to anybody because there is no line to directly contact someone to reschedule or cancel you have to actually email them to do any of that or talk to your care counselor. This program is dangerous for people who have severe mental disorders this app has technical issues that if you even try to fix your appointment could get cancelled. I don’t recommend joining this program and I gave this program a zero star rating for unprofessionalism and there ability to not even care.

Cerebral took my money and gave me nothing in return. Literally just a greedy company doing the least. I was never able to get my medication, my prescription was supposedly called to my pharmacy, and when i went to pick it up [knowing i was also going to have to pay out of pocket for it!] After wasting my time waiting in line, i was informed that they had no prescription for me. I had cerebral send my prescription to a DIFFERENT pharmacy, and yet again, no record of it! Cancellation is a total nightmare. You have to email support before the next bill date, then they send you back a link with a form in on their website that is ridiculously annoying and seemingly arbitrary. Well on the very last question the form generates an error and will NOT submit. Tried on multiple browsers, exact same results. Support's only solution was for me to do it on a different device. I'm sorry, but i thought this was mental health care made accessible? Not everyone has such a luxury to access multiple devices. My phone runs fine. I do all my online schooling on it. I havent logged back into my account, made any appointments with the platform providers or received a single month of medication that i desperately need for functioning, yet cerebral continues to try and bill my bank account every single business day, sometimes multiple times in a day! For a service i most definitely do not want and have received nothing from. I will have to cancel my debit card and have a new one issued if this continues. I currently have my transactions turned off at almost all times and would really love if they could stop trying to take my money so we can all get on with our lives. Also from reading other bad reviews, i find it pretty GROSS that a mental telehealth service is using generic form responses to reply to everything. Very bad look, cerebral UPDATE 9/17: This company flagged my review as fake and trustpilot required me to submit proof of all the info i stated in my review. I did so and now my review is "verified" but keep this in mind if you plan to write a negative review. I'm pretty certain they're not flagging the positive reviews, that speaks volumes about this company.
