I received a card in the mail
I received a card in the mail. I called to see what they offered since my warranty had ran out . I couldnt afford what they offered, $5100, so the lady I was talking with got a supervisor on the phone. She worked trying to get the down payment down and the monthly payment down. $240 down payment with monthly payments being $147 for 24 months, would I like to use my debit or credit card I said neither I can't afford that. I barely make it from paycheck to paycheck right now. I said I could barely save $200 a month for emergencies. Then she started in with, well how are u going to pay to fix your vehicle when it breaks down? You bought a car with high milage and no warranty, how are you going to pay for repairs? Both incorrect. It was at 68,000 when I bought it, thats not high milage these days and I still had factory warranty. She continue to argue with me that I could put it on my credit card every month and I said no I have enough credit card debt. Then she argued I could save $200 a month for emergencies but I couldn't use that to pay for this extended warranty offer. I finally hung up. What business of it is hers how I pay for repairs if they happen? There warranty may or may not be good. I could definitely use and extended warranty but it not be with this company. For $5100 covering just 50,000 miles more Ill take my chances. Its what you do when u buy used, take a chance.
