The folks at cars and bids help put up a fantastic listing for your car. If your car has specific things that set it apart, like a rare color, rare factory options that you know enthusiasts would love CarsAndBids is the correct way to sell your car. I received over 25% over what a dealer was offering me for my 8 year old car

Cars & Bids will guide you through the whole process of selling a car on their platform. It was great service from start to finish for me, a newcomer to online car auctions. I sold my car to someone overseas, and the Cars & Bids team continued to reach out to help and are VERY quick to respond to questions and concerns. Their advice is top-notch. They will strongly recommend hiring a pro photographer for your online photos, and I think that is good advice. Cost me less than $200 and was well worth it.

Easy to bid and lots of pictures to see the vehicles I want to bid on. Much more information than eBay or Craigslist. It’s was worth the buyer’s fee.

No seller protections, the sell- through rate is overstated, and the buyer pool is not strong. The winning bidder for my car was allowed to back out of his bid for a minimal penalty, the second, third, and fourth highest bidders all declined to buy at their own bid prices. This leads me to believe the quality of the bidders is very poor, populated with keyboard warriors and the site has yet to come up adequate vetting or deposit mechanisms to protect everyone. While cars and bids has offered to split the fee charged via credit card to the would be buyer, they will only do so if the card charge is not challenged by the bidder. So hedging their bets instead of offering customer service. Finally, even though no transaction took place and the car is still mine, they will continue to show it as sold because the auction ended with a winning bid. Extremely misleading and could complicate my efforts to sell in the future.

Hi Michael, We're sorry to hear that you're less than 100% satisfied with your experience on Cars & Bids. While bidders failing to follow through is incredibly rare, your individual experience is understandably negative. As we have shared with you via our in-site chat, we will fight any dispute of the charges the winning bidder places to our fullest extent, and split that charge with you once we know that it is not disputed. To reiterate, this bidder's actions are wholly against our terms of use, and they have been banned from all future activity on Cars & Bids and have forfeited their buyer's fee. Our team will be in touch with you as the dispute window closes, and we wish you the best of luck selling your very special car.
