I won a car on this site. When I arrived at the seller's home to buy the car, I discovered that the tires were worn out. He was asked about the tire condition during the bidding process and had lied, by stating that the tires had 50% life left when they had none. I didn't buy the car and flew back home. I contacted C&B but they sided with the seller and refused to refund me the commission that I paid to them. Their customer service was overwhilmingly rude. I don't recommend this website. Customer satisfaction is their last concern.

My experience of purchasing a car from Cars & Bids was much difference than I anticipated. I had watched auctions for years and when it was finally time to make a purchase I checked VIN numbers, history, reported damage, etc. The car I was buying was clean and seemed to have a lot going for it. This is until it arrived. The check engine light was on and there was only one key when the Cars & Bids listing clearly indicated there were two keys as part of this transaction. The seller went silent, the Cars & Bids team was communicative but did nothing to help to resolve the issue. I would have been happy simply receiving the second key. NEVER AGAIN will I use Cars & Bids. I encourage anyone considering Cars & Bids as a platform for purchase to admire from afar but don't get caught in the crossfire. It is not worth it at the end of the day.

I do not recommend this website to sell your vehicle. They allow non bidders to undermine your auction and they do not police the comments section.

I won an auction for a car that appeared clean and undamaged in the listing photos. When I had it inspected, I found leaks and significant damage around the car that had not been disclosed. These were not minor cosmetic flaws. The car appeared to have been hit in multiple places, with substantial damage the listing photos did not show. I tried to resolve this with Cars & Bids and offered to provide photos showing the car’s actual condition. They did not ask for the photos or compare them with the listing. Their response focused on the fact that the approximately $1,100 buyer’s fee they had collected was nonrefundable. They told me I should have inspected the car before bidding and threatened to suspend my account. I understand that buyers should do their due diligence, but I expected Cars & Bids to investigate a complaint about a materially misleading listing. I felt they had no interest in resolving the issue once they had collected their fee. Based on this experience, I would not use Cars & Bids again.

Purchasing was easy. Shipping thru carsandbids was the issue. Zero communication. Cameron N. will call you and that will be the last time you hear from them, until they show up unannounced and are annoyed that you aren't home. In my case, they set up the transport over the weekend, when the office is closed. So there was no one to communicate with. Major waste of my weekend waiting around for someone to contact me to update me and let me know what the plan is (other than the "ETA 9/27/2026" from the winners page at carsandbids). What makes it worse is the gaslighting and non-apology from carsandbids about everything that went wrong (that was 100% within their control). Your shipping team (office & field people) ruined this experience and dug the hole deeper by making excuses and trying to spin the narrative. zero for customer service. zero for communication. would not use again. In hindsight, I would have either picked it up myself or used a third party vendor.

CAUTION: DO NOT SELL HERE!! I couldn't be more disappointed but yes, they are capable of selling your car for pennies on the dollar. Huge hype, lots of promotion, and plenty of loopholes built into their system to allow others to take advantage. Not only are the photographers constantly cancelling your appointment literally minutes before on multiple occassions, creating lost opportunity cost, but this site has built in loopholes for buyers to demand whatever they want, once the auction is finished, and give them the option to take the final payment outside of the platform. They don't ever reply when you ask them any questions such as can I pull out of carsandbids? And then they put pressure on you the seller, to meet the unreasonable demands of the buyer. Go anywhere else to see your car!

Cars and Bids markets itself as a professional auction site bringing together car enthusiasts. Be warned that they have horrible customer service as soon as your car gets listed. They went from being very responsive to ignoring my messages, implying they “don’t work 24/7” after not addressing a messaging issue I had. It turns out, C&Bs was blocking messages from getting through to me, only realized why 2 hours before my auction ended, and offered no resolution. They prevented me from having two days to connect with users and facilitate test drives and took no responsibility for the lower price I ended up with.

Scam warning: Do not share any personal information or car details with Cars & Bids. They don’t tell you upfront what they actually need to list your car. They only say “registration, pictures, and a video.” I sent them over 40 photos, my car registration, and all of my personal information. After that, they replied saying, “We’re sorry, you need to hire our photographer for $320.” I told them they were wasting my time because I already provided detailed photos. It’s clear they try to sell you a paid package, and meanwhile they keep all your information to use however they want. Don’t fall for this trick.
