no buyers fee refund even if seller might be a scammer
I bid on a Rolls Royce and won the auction. Then I flew across the country to view the car after winning because I didn't want to wire a large amount to a stranger without first viewing the car/paperwork. There were a lot of red flags so I decided to not finalize the deal. I still had to pay the $4500 buyers fee. Cars & Bids did not care that the deal did not go through. I guess that explains why they have an F with the Better Business Bureau. Needless to say, I will not be making my future car purchases with them.
Response from Cars & BidsOct 28, 2022
Hi Mauricio, We're sorry to hear that you're unsatisfied with your experience using Cars & Bids. Our team made repeated attempts to contact you in reference to what went wrong with the sale, and you did not answer our clarifying requests. The last contact we had from you indicated that you saw the car, planned to fly home, and then wire the funds to the seller. But after being prompted to wire the funds by the seller you simply didn't respond to either the seller or us. By failing to follow through with your winning bid, you violated our terms of use, forfeited your buyer's fee, and your account was subsequently banned. We would be happy to review the circumstances of this auction; please contact us at [email protected] with any additional information you can provide.
