This Company Just Doesn't Care
In March of 2022, our family took our first cruise with Carnival aboard the Glory. The cruise was around my husband's birthday, so I purchased the birthday package for him. At first, Carnival said they didn't have a record of the purchase, then four days later, they said they didn't have the resources to fulfill the package - a birthday cake, gifts, and decorations. Um, okay. Our bags arrived late in the evening on embarkation day, and, unfortunately, one of our Hartmann brand bags, which is not cheap, arrived at our cabin crushed at the top. While aboard, the Carnival representative offered us a cheap bag as a replacement which we politely declined. The rep said he would forward the information to corporate to compensate us. After months of dodging our calls and emails, Carnival powers-that-be changed their mind, saying they would not pay us for the bag and telling us to file a travel insurance claim. Why not tell us that in the first place, Carnival? We did file eventually, and it remains unresolved. On top of everything, one executive at Carnival said he hopes they can "win back our confidence" to travel with them again. No, buddy, it's a no for us!
