Our handicap room had no couch or chair… and was freezing
Our handicap room had no couch or chair even though the room description says couch
Room was freezing for 3 days, a/ would not shut off maintenance came, 1 comfy day then roasted for 3 days, a/c would not go on. Maintenance came, and we froze again for a few days till end, would not shut off again.
We both got sick from the freezing room.
When I asked the guy at service desk why does a handicap room not have a couch, his very rude response was “maybe you should have checked the room picture before you booked it”. THE ROOM DESCRIPTION SAYS A COUCH IS IN THE ROOM!!! Room 6108
My handicapped husband had to sit on the end of the bed. Most of the food was sub par and lukewarm.
The only saving grace of the cruise was our room steward, WAYAN. He was so helpful and concerned for us. You need more like him.
Needless to say this was our 5th AND LAST cruise with Carnival.

We booked a 7-day Mexican Riviera and…
We booked a 7-day Mexican Riviera and we've traveled this before and years ago the quality of the food, the customers were good, this time 9/6/26-9/13/26 was disapointing the customers you travel with were rude kids were running around unattended, the teens anyway. Yes its a bargain for the price, but it was way too crowded, where people in the pool were wall to wall. The food went down in its quality, we only found one resturant were we liked, our stomachs did get upset daily. But the good thing was the ocean and the employees were so good in their service. The horrible thing is my husband caught COVID 2 days later. And he was special needs, so it wasn't a memorable experience. We won't be cruising with Carnival again.

My First Cruise been on Cruise …
My First Cruise been on Cruise Experience – Carnival Adventure 3-Day Cruise
This was my first time going on a cruise, and I travelled on Carnival Adventure for a 3-day cruise.
Overall, there were some things I really enjoyed. When boarding, passengers were directed through the casino, which I found a little unusual. The layout of the pools, restaurants and general hangout areas was nice. Our Byron Bay Suite, which was an upgrade as we were already booked in a suite, was comfortable and spacious.
The buffet food was very hit and miss. Some days the food was good, while on other days it was fairly ordinary(maybe water down food), with limited selection. One mistake my family made was not booking the 2 inclusive restaurants early enough. Because we didn’t organise this beforehand, we ended up relying on the buffet most days.
I also felt there were too many opportunities to spend extra money $$$$ onboard. There appeared to be around five restaurants that required additional payment, compared with only two included dining options plus the buffet. Some entertainment and concerts also appeared to involve additional $$$charges. It sometimes felt like there were constant upsells throughout the cruise.Heard by other passengers when was P&O had was more free inclusive options.
The staff were generally friendly, but they appeared quite burnt out. From what I understand, some cruise staff can work for around seven months straight, which may explain why there wasn’t the same level of energy and enthusiasm that I’ve seen in videos of other cruise ships.
Casino experience
The biggest concern for me was the casino.
I would strongly recommend avoid CASINO if you choose to use the slot machines. During my experience, some machines appeared to jitter or freeze while spinning, which made me uncomfortable.
I used my own cash and transferred funds between machines using my Sail & Sign card. However, after getting off the ship at the end of the cruise, I discovered that approximately $200 had been charged to my credit card.
I believe there should be a much clearer system around casino transactions. For example, if a patron’s credit card is going to be charged after using their Sail & Sign card, there should be clear confirmation of the amount, with the patron required to acknowledge or sign for the transaction in front staff member before it is processed.
I was particularly concerned because I had understood that I was playing with the funds I had personally put into the machines. Finding an additional $200 charge after leaving the ship was a very unpleasant surprise.
I can’t personally establish why the machines behaved the way they did, or whether any gambling system was deliberately manipulated, but the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and questioning the transparency of the casino system.
I have also heard about serious gambling-related incidents of death involving cruise passengers, which makes me think cruise operators need to take responsible gambling and transaction transparency very seriously.
Overall
As my first cruise experience, Carnival Adventure had some enjoyable aspects. The ship itself was comfortable, the layout was good and the suite was a highlight.
However, the inconsistent buffet, numerous additional charges$$$ feels very money hungry, lack of clarity around some expenses and particularly my casino experience have made me question whether I would choose to sail Carnival again.

Farewell
I thank you carnival cruise for the experiences I’ve had cruising with you all. Unfortunately I have to choose another cruise line after you all erased my membership status and forced me to start my rewards over. If I knew it was going to be this drastic, I would not have booked my next cruise with you all. Good luck with keeping your current members, and your popularity amongst cruise lines. Good luck, and goodbye.

Never again Carnival
Pre cruise customer support 2/10
Cruise 7/10
Post cruise customer support 0/10
Passing the buck and blaming other departments seem to be the business model of this company.
After a staff error in booking, said staff member promised to spend “all her waking time” finding a fix! ACTUAL TIME SPENT = 0 Minutes
Then I spent over 40 hours on calls and emails to no avail.
Cruise came and went and when a complaint was made that the issue we tried to remedy caused the problem we knew it would, the “useless department” swung into full gear.
Another heap of hours on calls endless promises for “ZERO” result.
I cancelled our next 2 booked cruises.
5 weeks later I get a call from a booking agent, she got the stone faced “your joking aren’t you?” Spent another hour explaining, I was handed up to a concerned “Manager”, more hours wasted “She was going to sort something out”
She finally calls back with “Oh i am so sorry I didn’t know your case was handed to Such and Such department who make all the decisions and it is now out of my hands, nothing we can do….. Oh I hope you have a nice day” Bahahahaha
So company cruise will now be changed to something a little more worthy.
I will never recommend Carnival Cruises again.

Recently went on a Northern European…
Recently went on a Northern European cruise on the Carnival Legend to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary. Get in the room and there are rings on the desk from drinks, layers of dust all over but especially on the bedside lamps, MOLD in the bathroom (the exhaust fan didn’t work properly), and when this was brought up to the service desk at around 7am the issue wasn’t properly addressed by 6pm! I told them that not only do I have asthma, but I’m allergic to mold and dust mites. When we came back from our day out (we had given a full two days before saying anything to see if the room steward would fix the issue on his own and was just running behind the first day) they “still didn’t know if it was mold”. They did have someone come in to clean it, but said someone left cleaner splattered ALL OVER the bathroom and all over my things. Not only that the mold was still in the caulk, and on the ceiling and upper wall, and the dust wasn’t addressed. So I had to go down again and say something. They apologized and said the best that they could do was $50 off of our bill, and send someone at some point to clean again “hopefully to our satisfaction”. As if I’m being unreasonable! I don’t know what I wanted out of the situation, but for them to take it more seriously. I was getting wheezy, and if it were to have impacted my vacation that would be very upsetting! They offered medical, but I carry all of my asthma medication with me so I didn’t need them, so I declined, and just requested that the room be cleaned properly. Come back to the room and lay down, someone comes later and cleans the bathroom, the supervisor says the next day he’ll make sure everything else is addressed. Get back from our day out, and the dust is still there but the room was “cleaned”. Our room steward comes to the door and I answered, he asks if my husband is there because he wants to talk to HIM about the issues. Even though I’m the one that filed the complaint, and I’m the one that answered the door. Cultural differences aside, I feel like it was a read the room situation? Maybe I’m just being ignorant, but it felt disrespectful. He talks to my husband, and asks him if the room is cleaned to our satisfaction, but in a snarky kind of way. Says he’s the one that cleans our room, in a very pronounced way as if we should have come to him. It was very awkward, and I didn’t like how he came across. A lot of the staff on this cruise specifically it felt like they just didn’t care to be there, or were very unknowledgeable about their jobs. The sandwich station lady was ANGRY each and every time my sister in law and I would go over there. We weren’t ordering anything that wasn’t on the menu! The guys burgers one of the ladies there too, just angry and would snap at you. I’ve never experienced this anywhere before! It made for an interesting anniversary experience. Then we go to the steakhouse one night, and all of our steaks (which we ordered medium rare) were under cooked. Mine was WAY undercooked, like still mooing on the damn plate, the rest of them could still manage to eat theirs, I could not. By the time the server finally came back around everyone else was finished! She asked if it was ok, I said no it was undercooked, she asked if I wanted it done more, I said no everyone is already done eating I ate all of my sides. They didn’t even discount the bill when I only had two bites off of it. Very disappointed with the ship experience, but loved the ports 🤷🏻♀️ Customer Service was not very helpful, and I’m very saddened by the whole thing considering how much we paid and that we planned this for two years!

You would think Carnival would make it…
You would think Carnival would make it easy for families to reschedule without exorbitant fees but it’s $50 PER PERSON so a family of five has to pay more even though my kids don’t contribute to the fund. We were hoping to move our cruise up so we could start saving for another cruise but nope, it would cost us $250 to switch. So now we will just not book with them again in the future. We can book a hotel and change reservations no problem much easier.

I had an Alaska 10 day cruise booked…
I had an Alaska 10 day cruise booked for July 20-30, 2026. On June 11,2026 I went on the Carnival Hub app to look at shore excursions to book and my cruise was GONE!!! I called Carnival right away and they told me that my guest/partner I selected to go with me, called and canceled the cruise!!! He has my pin # so I guess as long as he has that, he could do anything he wanted to MY CRUISE RESERVATION!!! How can they justify allowing that???? It was a cruise I was so looking forward to and now it’s gone!!!!
Thanks a lot Carnival😭😭
I have been sailing with Carnival since 1998 and been on over 30 cruises with them, NEVER AGAIN!!! Take my advice and don’t tell anyone your pin or password no matter who your sailing guest with you is.
Mine was my husband and now I can’t go on my dream cruise because I trusted him with my info.
