Michelle from CarePatrol was an invaluable asset for helping us find the perfect care facility for my Mother-in-law. Since we had very limited time and didn’t even know where to begin, Michelle jumped right in. I had a very in-depth call with her in the morning and by the afternoon, she had scheduled 5 visits with area facilities. When we got to the facilities, she was incredibly helpful in making sure all the important questions were answered. I can not say enough about the professionalism and dedication of Michelle and CarePatrol. They should be everyone’s first point of contact when looking for a care facility.

Cilia
Cilia is so kind and caring asking appropriate questions to narrow our search for mom with severe dementia. My brother and I toured 6 facilities and filled out admissions papers to hold a studio apt. Danbury Senior Living of Mentor. I highly recommend both Cilia from CarePatrol and Danbury. Sincerely Linda

My sister
My sister, Frances Palicki fell and broke her wrist on 2/1/20 and was rushed to Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. She had pins inserted and a cast placed on 2/3 and came home on 2/4. It was apparent that she could not live alone and take care of herself any longer. The social service staff there put me in touch with Care Patrol. Just 4 days later on 2/8 Herules Bothma made a personal visit (on a Saturday !!) to do an intake interview with both Fran and I to assess the needs of my sister and discuss the finances. Just 5 days later, Hercules found a potential care facility, Paradisr Manor in Hatfield PA that was an ideal fit for her in a ll ways.
Hercuels accompanied me on the visit with the owner. Just 4 days later on 2/17, my sister visited the facility and just 2 days later blame a resident. Just 11 days to find her a facility that fulfilled all her needs: to keep her safe, 3 meals per day, taking care of her medication and personal care needs and have her in a place with others so as not to be alone. She could NOT live alone any longer and we found an ideal place for her to live a better life. ALL DUE TO GOD AND HERCULES. BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY AND THE CARE PROJECT TEAM AS WELL.

There is hope...
In November of 2019, our father passed away after a battle with cancer, and my brother and I picked up the responsibility of caring for our mother and her affairs. Our Mom is a stroke victim, and as a result of the stroke, she has paralysis on the right side of her body and lost her ability to communicate by speaking. Up until our father’s cancer got the best of him, he was the primary caregiver for our Mom.
My brother and I tried our best to care for our Mom for five months after dad’s passing, between ourselves and using Home Healthcare Services. We soon came to realize that it was financially unpractical and that our mother needed more definitive care. Neither one of us had any idea how to proceed in finding her the proper assisted living facility to care for her needs, and the more we researched, the more overwhelming it became.
After consulting with the attorney that we used for our father’s estate planning, we learned of Mary Ann Pickell of CarePatrol of the Lehigh Valley. From the initial consultation to the placement of our mother, Mary Ann, assured us that we would not be alone in the process and that we would find the right care for Mom together.
Ultimately, Mary Ann went above and beyond to find the proper facility for Mom while keeping my family well informed and grounded during the process. Before our father became ill, we never thought about how difficult it would be to have to place a parent in an assisted living facility nor how confusing and stressful the process is. Mary Ann’s knowledge of the healthcare industry, empathy, compassion, and resources makes her a professional in her field. We highly recommend her services.
Looking back, I don’t think we could have done it without her.

Truthfully, miracle on 107th terrace.
Our situation involved a couple in the neighborhood. He is approaching 90. She is 85 and blind. They live in Florida and have three children. 2 in California and 1 in Arizona. They say they talk with the children weekly. They live in a 3-bedroom house. Both have fallen multiple times. He recently had an accident and give up his car. Concerned neighbors have encourage them to move into assisted living without success. The answer always was we can't afford it. A group of neighbors are called upon frequently for assistance. Most of us leave in April to return North.
Upon her last release from the hospital with fractured ribs from a fall, I approached the case manager and got the information about David Wilkins from carepatrol. However the husband had made it very clear that they were not moving!
A few days later I received a panicked call from the wife. She was truly hysterical. They had talked to their children who told them that they could not help them by taking them in and that would not be coming. She kept sobbing, "nobody wants us".
At that point I made a call to Mr. Wilkins. Within three hours he was at the house. He was very calm with them as he took their information.
Within days, information was gathered and the application was completed for veterans assistance. The issues with their well overdrawn reverse mortgage was addressed. Mr. Wilkins also found them housing. Added pressure to move quickly came from the covid-19 virus and the fact that I left early to return to Ohio.
In less than a month they were placed in an assisted living facility.
Mr. Wilkins was available to answer every question. He handled things caringly and professionally. I would definitely recommend him to assist anyone. Although I am back in Ohio, I understand he is still getting phone calls from this couple even though they have been safely placed in a place that they like. I know it is a huge change for them and they are blessed to have him.
