I was referred to Aletha Stewart at CarePatrol by a hospital social worker for placement of a family member in assisted living. Aletha was very good to work with: compassionate, knowledgeable about facilities in the location we needed, and very responsive.

We had just 10 days to find a place for Mother and move her. She had been in rehab at the hospital and based on therapists’ advice, it was decided she would require more care than we could provide at home. Aletha Stewart educated us on the types of facilities available/their level of care, took my mother’s financial situation into consideration and narrowed down our choices. She helped us ask the right questions at each facility and we were able to move forward quickly. It’s been a sad, difficult and stressful time, but made easier with Aletha’s guidance.

Anthony Black sat us down and went through all of our options, including letting us know what we had to worry about as far as costs, and what hospice normally handles. He had a few hospice residential homes in his back pocket, and made us appointments to see them right away. Amazing! The first home we toured was absolutely perfect! He had a great rapport with the owner of the home, who really made us feel at ease. Anthony made us feel the same way. An east-coaster too, I felt like he was my brother, who just happened to know a little (ok, a lot) more than we. We chatted over coffee, and made a viable game plan...to be executed in ONE DAY! Although mom survived one day in the hospice home, she was comfortable and cared for. She was allowed to see us, which was a blessing, since COVID prohibited us from seeing her in the hospital. Anthony came into our lives so that we could talk to mom one last time. To see her and tell her that everything was ok. Thank you, Anthony. You're truly the best.
