Positive Experience Overall
TL;DR - Positive experience overall on 4 different claims. You have to follow up with them constantly by calling, they may not always respond in a timely manner via email. I've filed a about 4 claims with eClaimsline, based on my coverage with my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. 3 of them were approved, and I was reimbursed, the last one is pending: 1. Rental Car Windshield damage. Someone vandalized the windshield of my rental car in a hotel parking lot in Florida. I was reimbursed for the initial deductible I paid the rental car company, and eClaims took care of the rest (Took about 3 months, and I made sure to follow up almost weekly) 2. Trip Interruption / Delay, had to stay at a hotel overnight. I was reimbursed (Took about 3 - 4 weeks). 3. Some other trip interruption / delay. I was reimbursed (Took about 6 weeks) 4. I have one more pending Trip cancellation for which I am trying to get my cancelled hotel reservation cost reimbursed (cancelled with less than 6 hours to check-in time). To touch on a couple of points: A. Additional Documentation - Yes, it is true that no matter how careful and detailed you are in providing information, and supporting documentation, they always seem to need additional information on documents. Thankfully, I have been able to provide them. If you don't send them the right additional document, they may not reach out to you to follow up for months. B. Response Time: They don't always respond via email within 2 business days, or they don't always review your documents within 5 business days. They way I have dealt with this is to constantly follow up. I have always had luck with calling them, barely any wait time. C. Knowledgeable Representatives (or otherwise) - People should understand that there are usually multiple companies involved. The folks you call to explain your card benefits are not the same folks at eClaims who actually deal with your claims, and they are not the same folks as your actual Credit Card Provider (so that's 3 different entities already - Credit Card Provider, Benefits Providers, and Claims Processing). When you call them, they read off the same booklet you have explaining your benefits. I have a PDF of my benefits handy that I always refer to before filing a claim. Sometimes, I call just to verify certain things. The folks I have spoken to at eClaims have been honest and straight forward with me, and seemed knowledgeable enough. All in all, I have had a positive experience with them. You have to follow up yourself, you have to make sure your documents are in order. They don't always respond in a timely fashion (which is why i deducted 1 star). I cannot stress enough that you should always be kind to everyone you speak with. It is understandable if you are already frustrated based on different things, but try to be considerate and don't take it out on representatives; they are bound to be more helpful if you treat them politely and with respect.
