Spent the Memorial Day week in Living High cabin and loved it. View was awesome and cabin was very nice. The only thing was the mattress need to be replaced and sofa sleeper is getting worn from sitting. Everything else was great. Would rent this cabin again.

This was my second stay at the cabins…
This was my second stay at the cabins and by far was the worst experience ever. We stayed at Sweet emotions cabin. Upon arrival the cabin wasn’t ready. We waited 2 1/2 hours to check in. Once we got to the cabin the we check it. Well the didn’t have any pots. Only 1 tv was working in a 4 bedroom cabin. The carpet smelled like a dog/cat urine on it. Spider webs was everywhere. The hot tub was dirty. The jacuzzi didn’t work. I called the office everyday for a week and was told lie after lie. Don’t ever rent the sweet emotions cabin it’s the worst. Also there is no WiFi

Toss up---Valley View House Gatlinburg
Valley View House Gatlinburg "Well, the house overall was nice, location was great and the view was beautiful however, the following list was completely unacceptable and avoidable:
-Ice machine in fridge was not working
-internet/TV was not working--internet never did work properly
-broken chair on balcony--had to carry out front, luckily no one was injured
-various outlets were not working
-light in shower not working
-towels were like using a washcloth to dry off
-steps leading to front door were a hazard at best, "fix it" guy tried to reinforce, told us would have the entire staircase replaced ASAP, never did, again, very lucky no one was injured
-hot tub was leaking--was told it wasn't by "fix it" guy, but it was as we had a stream of water on the deck each morning and the water level was below the jets even after not being used
-golden tee didn't work--never fixed
-3 out of 4 king sized beds were concave
-Theater room was non functional--never fixed
-nearly every remote for the TV's were missing the battery cover or not operating normally
-every knife was completely dull and couldn't cut a piece of paper
The office was notified upon arrival of the issues however, no work orders were issued. I arrived 4 hours later, went to the office and they claimed to have no knowledge of anything being reported. Then a gentleman arrived around 915 pm and what were we to do, turn him away? 2 hours later pretty much nothing was fixed, with the exception of the ice machine 2 days later I believe and the TV issue. If you advertise a 12 person house, why would you only have 1 refrigerator anyway? I realize we were there for the sites, etc but when we are paying over $3k for a week, all of the above totally could have and should have been avoided and addressed prior to arrival ESPECIALLY knowing it was vacant the week prior. Yes, we made do and enjoyed our time however, at this point, I can not say if the view and the size of the house really outweigh all the negative aspects including lack of response, attention to detail and basic checklist items which could have made it a much better experience. The fixes are so easy, it is a shame they were not addressed.

We stayed at the Splash Mountain Cabin…
We stayed at the Splash Mountain Cabin and it was such a disappointment. We had a long list of things that we're wrong which I reached out to the office and it appeared that it was our problem and not theirs. I was told that these problems fall on the owner of the cabin. It make me wonder were the luxury come in to play. There was nothing luxury about a broke down cabin with leaking walls, broken faucets, dirty floors, broken sockets, broken appliances, molded hot tub filter, electrical wires exposed, one skillet, one large pot that had burnt food stuck to it, no towels through out the entire cabin that sleeps 24, it took 4 hours to get dry towels only, and the list goes on and on. When I notified the office I was told that they we're already aware of it and nothing was done about it. The cabin was not as it appeared on line. It had too many issues which should have been taken care of before we arrived. I made the reservation back in January and here it is May and it's still a mess .I'm so over the top about being done with them and never will I ever return. We paid for luxury but instead it was a nightmare!

If I could give them negative stars I…
If I could give them negative stars I would. To begin with we made reservations in early February for May for 4 families traveling from South Carolina and Kentucky and meeting in Gatlinburg for a long weekend/family gathering. Upon checking in we noticed on the paper that it was a different cabin in Wear's Valley instead of Gatlinburg. We spend most of our time in the park and that is why we picked Gatlinburg. When we mentioned this and asked why we were moved they said it was because the cabin had been sold and someone should have called us. They did not. They finally moved us to a cabin in Gatlinburg but said that it had to pass cleaning inspection. No problem, we could wait.
Once we could get in the cabin from the "cleaning inspection" things only got worse. Upon opening the door we were greeted with the most foul smell. It was from all of the garbage/junk that was thrown in the kitchen closet. Never mind the fact that water was leaking out of the bottom of the refrigerator, there was plywood on one of the windows in the master bedroom, the smoke detectors did not have batteries in them, there was black mold in every shower/bathroom, there was a hole with pipes exposed in another bedroom, there was carvings on all of the walls on the porch, there was a penis carved on the one bathroom wall, no WiFi, the fire extinguisher needed to be charged, the one toilet was not bolted to the floor, the amount of bugs in the basement was beyond alarming and the list goes on and on. I called that evening to complain and was told someone would be out. Guess what - they came while we were in the park the next day only to fix the refrigerator. We called again. Said there was nothing they could do. Upon check out we went over everything again and had pictures to prove it. They offered us $159.00 refund. Are you kidding me? Never mind the fact that we had to shower in our shoes and/or socks because of the black mold. My 84 year old father fell because of this. We filled out an incident report and guess what, still no call. After arguing at check-out, we finally just walked away and called the fire department on them regarding the smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. I would NEVER rent from them again nor ever recommend them. They are horrible and should be closed down.

Worst vacation ever!!!!
First, we had to wait 2 hours before they would even tell us where the cabin was and that it was being cleaned. The table had not been cleaned since the previous tenants ate there. Dirt on the floors, air filter and vent were in need of cleaning. The mantel over the fire place looked like it was covered in snow but was actually dust. The oven wasn't working properly. Mirrors and windows were covered in finger prints and dirt. I called and they said that they would send someone right out but no one ever came. Had no wifi service. Entertainment equipment needs updating-there were 2 VHS players but I haven't had VHS tapes in YEARS!!

We stayed in Mountain Top With a View…
We stayed in Mountain Top With a View Too in mid-May. First, the problems we had. When we arrived the hot tub was broken and the cabin had not been cleaned well. Maintenance came for the hot tub but it still didn't work. They finally got it working mid-way through our trip. The dining room chairs were horrible. I fell backwards onto my back when the chair completely broke. Several of the other chairs were on the verge of breaking. The door knob downstairs completely came out. We did virtual check in so we NEVER received a welcome packet. Now, the good stuff. the cabin itself is nice. Beautiful view. Comfortable beds, except the queen sleeper. Probably ok for children. Allie with the leasing company was fantastic. She reimbursed us for inconvenience for hot tub and cleaning. We will definitely consider renting from them again IF we can go through Allie ahead of our trip.
