Disappointed in cleanliness, obstructed view, and lack of maintenance. Was not what we expected. We stayed in the Audacious cabin and none of us who stayed would recommend staying in this cabin.

I have been staying with your company for over 5 years and this is by far the worst cabin I have ever stayed in. The kitchen cabinet was broken, the downstairs bathroom cabinet in one of the bedrooms was missing, 1 hot tub didn’t get hot, the other one was only half full and neither was not clean, every toilet in the cabin Is so old& outdated that they was sooo hard to flush and it would get stuck at times then you would have to take the top off to push it down so the water bowl could fill up, one of the microwaves didn’t get hot, water leaked through the bathroom floor from up stairs when someone took a shower, it sounded like something was inside the cabin walls and eating through it. The lights downstairs kept flickering, the TVs in 10 of the rooms was 19 inch, some of the remotes was missing batteries & one of the TVs volume didn’t work.

The cabin was beautiful but from the moment we arrived we started having problems. When we’d turn the lights on in the main downstairs bedroom, the power would trip the other downstairs bedroom. When I went out to reset that one, the rooms upstairs would trip. I was told they couldn’t do anything to fix it, I would just have to go to the breaker box and turn them back on. The main downstairs bathroom toilet wouldn’t flush and at one point while we were out the toilet overflowed throughout the bathroom and into the bedroom. I had to reset the breaker over 50x’s while we were there. They were very prompt in coming to try to help when we called, but it became a mute point. Like I said before, the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our trip but I feel sorry for whoever comes after us if they don’t have these items fixed.

"We have used this same cabin rental company every time we've stayed in Gatlinburg. This cabin was the first one that was filthy. I left a comment on the card about it. I wouldn't say anything about it if the floors hadn't been swept or vacuumed. However, the shower curtains were moldy and there were wads of hair in the bathroom as well as all over the carpet. We have a 16 month old and it was all over his clothes. The dryer lent had not been cleaned up in a while either. It was everywhere in the little laundry room and there were dishes left in the dishwasher. Plus there were dead bugs all over the place. This cabin was beautiful but very dirty. "

We stayed in the Mountain High View cabin from 08/30 to 09/02 2019. During the virtual check-in you cannot electronically sign the documents as I was told you can the day of the stay. So after clearing that up we ended up at the business office to check in. Staff was nice. The only best part of the cabin was the view from the back deck with the hot tub. The cabin was really outdated and the master bathroom was in serious need of TLC. The shower floor needs to be completely replaced and facet dripped. You must hold the toilet handles down for several seconds for the toilets to work. The mattress was very uncomfortable (cheap). The fireplace light did not work. The TV in the bedroom would not keep the signal so it was useless. The appliances were really outdated, one pan to use if you cook anything, pool table was unstable, the A/C would not cool ( Maybe due to the window and sunlight ) so bring a couple of box fans (thank goodness we did). Check your drinking glasses. We found a couple that still had lipstick and lip prints on them that were supposedly clean as they were in the cabinet. We did not use the wash machine or dryer so no comment on that amenity. Overall the cabin was clean.

Our cabin was at The Gathering Place, 3342 Twin City Way. We were disappointed with our cabin and very disappointed with the management company and their lack of management. When we arrived Sunday we noticed there was garbage down the ravine in the back. We called Sunday, Monday and Tuesday because it was not taken care of even though we were told it was high priority on Sunday. The only time someone came out was when it was raining, thunder and lightning and pitch black. We gave up calling. There was so much potential for this cabin if the owners were willing to invest a little time and money to have it cleaned, buy new pots and pans and dishes and put up some new updated decor. The items on the wall had easily been there for 10-15 years. There were 3 coffee cups for a cabin that was advertised to sleep 10-12. The pots and pans were greasy and the dishwasher did not work. The cobwebs on the windows looked as if they had been there for months.

We stayed 3 nights at Rustic Splash in August of 2019. Unfortunately, our stay was less than what we expected. The first night I spent hours on the phone trying to report everything that was broke. The hot tub kept losing water. Finally on our last night the maintenance person discovered it had a leak. The jacuzzi tub had pieces missing and tile broken on the surrounding wall. The security system didn’t work. The air hockey game in the loft was falling apart. We found mouse droppings in four places in the cabin. Disappointed to say the least!!

The only reason I am giving this cabin a 2 star instead of a 1 star is because of the sweet people they have answering their phones. The cabin was the DIRTIEST cabin we have ever stayed in. The windows looked liked they haven’t been touched in 6 months, the dust on the cable box , end tables, table, window ledges, etc, etc, was so thick you could write your name. The refrigerator and stove were clearly not cleaned before we came (I took pictures of all of this Incase the company wants proof of how the cabin was upon check in). The floors were dirty, the kitchen sink HAD NO FAUCET . How does that pass inspection ? After being on the phone for almost 3 hours, 4 phone calls needed ,as no one seemed to understand how important it was to have a kitchen sink, someone came out, had to leave to go get a faucet, came back an hour and half later to put it in and it didn’t fit. He offered to put zip ties on it to keep it on the sink .... we spent the first 4 hours plus of our vacation waiting for a kitchen faucet that didn’t fit. The hot tub had no working lights , no hose to fill it up with water, and no stool to actually get in the tub. After another round of calls we did get a stool and a kitchen trash can that was also missing upon check in. The top balcony was absolutely filthy. There were cob webs all over the light fixtures, it had dog hair in clumps and dirt in piles and again, I have pics of all of this to show I am just not “one of those “ people who complain about things just for fun. The doors, both of them , to the patios do not latch without you using your body weight to close them. The door in the basement would open itself if you didn’t latch it shut. Kind of a problem if you are on the outside.. I found trash and empty water bottles in our kitchen cabinets , 2of them, as well as trash above the cabinet over the refrigerator. The views are NOT EVEN CLOSE to what the pictures show. There is no view from the hot tub or the dining room table , as there are several trees in the way. The pics on the website are clearly from a long time ago. There is a side view from the dining room that you can see the mountains . I could go on,but you get the point. I paid for a cleaning fee and had a dirty cabin that I left in better shape than what I got... inexcusable.
