We stayed 3 nights at Rustic Splash in August of 2019. Unfortunately, our stay was less than what we expected. The first night I spent hours on the phone trying to report everything that was broke. The hot tub kept losing water. Finally on our last night the maintenance person discovered it had a leak. The jacuzzi tub had pieces missing and tile broken on the surrounding wall. The security system didn’t work. The air hockey game in the loft was falling apart. We found mouse droppings in four places in the cabin. Disappointed to say the least!!

“As Good As It Gets” can’t get any worse. I have to give a one star to move forward with this review, but it didn’t deserve a star at all. First, after a 5 hour drive we were told our cabin would be ready soon because it was “being cleaned” and yes, we were a little early.....5 HOURS LATER and 9 starving people we enter the cabin that was anything but clean. At that hour and after calls of promises to make it all better we decided to tough it out for the night and hope for a better tomorrow. We did get the hot tub drained and cleaned, which was the least of my concern. The floors were disgusting with crumbs and trash and stickiness. Pool and hot tub were disappointing for our kids but the fact we had to wear shoes and didn’t want to sit on the cruddy sofa or put your luggage on the floor or use anything there about put the grown ups over the edge. Upon check out very little was done to see that we were compensated for such a poor experience. Best advice... stay somewhere else.

Our family couldn’t even take their shoes off, there were hairs on the bathroom utilities, the pool was filled with bugs and dirt, the hot tub was full of dirt and grime, and you can’t even feel comfortable in the beds which is where you are supposed to sleep at night. These cabins don’t even deserve a star...

The only reason I am giving this cabin a 2 star instead of a 1 star is because of the sweet people they have answering their phones. The cabin was the DIRTIEST cabin we have ever stayed in. The windows looked liked they haven’t been touched in 6 months, the dust on the cable box , end tables, table, window ledges, etc, etc, was so thick you could write your name. The refrigerator and stove were clearly not cleaned before we came (I took pictures of all of this Incase the company wants proof of how the cabin was upon check in). The floors were dirty, the kitchen sink HAD NO FAUCET . How does that pass inspection ? After being on the phone for almost 3 hours, 4 phone calls needed ,as no one seemed to understand how important it was to have a kitchen sink, someone came out, had to leave to go get a faucet, came back an hour and half later to put it in and it didn’t fit. He offered to put zip ties on it to keep it on the sink .... we spent the first 4 hours plus of our vacation waiting for a kitchen faucet that didn’t fit. The hot tub had no working lights , no hose to fill it up with water, and no stool to actually get in the tub. After another round of calls we did get a stool and a kitchen trash can that was also missing upon check in. The top balcony was absolutely filthy. There were cob webs all over the light fixtures, it had dog hair in clumps and dirt in piles and again, I have pics of all of this to show I am just not “one of those “ people who complain about things just for fun. The doors, both of them , to the patios do not latch without you using your body weight to close them. The door in the basement would open itself if you didn’t latch it shut. Kind of a problem if you are on the outside.. I found trash and empty water bottles in our kitchen cabinets , 2of them, as well as trash above the cabinet over the refrigerator. The views are NOT EVEN CLOSE to what the pictures show. There is no view from the hot tub or the dining room table , as there are several trees in the way. The pics on the website are clearly from a long time ago. There is a side view from the dining room that you can see the mountains . I could go on,but you get the point. I paid for a cleaning fee and had a dirty cabin that I left in better shape than what I got... inexcusable.

They claim that check in is at 4, but our cabin wasn’t ready until 730! We drove for 15 hours and had to sit. They don’t give you an address until it’s “ready”. So another half hour drive on top of the wait to our destination. Our cabin had so many maintenance issues. We had to call everyday for something. One of the bedroom sinks wouldn’t drain at all. Another bedroom shower had no pressure at all and dripped all night long. Hot tub didn’t work the entire stay. The hand rail to the stairs was TAPED. The banester to the hand rail outside was busted out. Garbage and coals on the ground outside as we pulled up. One of the bedrooms had a bathroom door that couldn’t latch shut. The jets to the jacuzzi bath tub didn’t work in that room as well. The dryer didn’t heat up, so it took 5 cycles to dry a load of clothes and then the washer flooded the entire kitchen floor. Maintenance came and said yep it’s broken. The floors were cratched to hell in some spots, probably need to be sanded and refinished. The outside of the cabin on the deck was dirty, needed a good sweep and a power washing. Positive notes were that the cabin was clean when we came and management tried to give us some money back on our stay. Probably not as much as we deserved. Based on the line of people waiting to complain I wouldn’t rent from this company again. The WiFi was also terrible!

We loved it so much, we are coming back in 2020!

We stayed in a cabin called Spectacular View it was absolutely just that and more ! We had a great time and the staff called us a few times to see if we needed anything.Great experience would recommend it to anyone. Great location in Pigeon Forge. A stone throw from Gatlinburg and close to anything you might want to do. We found ourself spending a lot of time at the cabin it had all the comforts of home.
