Cabinets arrived on time as estimated. No damages during shipping.
The finishing on the wood face frame was great. However, some of the plywood pieces were peeling and has bubbles in them. Though it was not a big deal, but I expected a better consistency in quality. Also, there was no instruction on how to assemble the drawers, which made it more difficult for a novice like me.

A great company that made a bad experience a good one-Cabinets good too!
I'd like to say that what makes a great company better than a good or a bad company is how they react to your experience.
I ordered the sienna rope series cabinets via a Friends previous order. The original cabinets came in horrendous condition. It looks like the hulk decided to pack the truck then drop it, then step on it a few times, then throw it in the air and then into the truck. 90% of it was detroyed or badly damaged. After an extensive review of all the boxes, and a call with their support(Nathan) they sent replacements to us in a timely manner. This made the company shine quite a bit as they could of argued with us or charged us for something else.
Now to the cabinets themselves. It would be a lie to say it went smoothly. about 75% of the cabinets had no issues what so ever but the other 25% took a bit of work to get assembled. Some of the highlights and issues are below
The good:
Cabinets are wonderful looking. They are quite solid(Doors and frame) and sides are fairly good as well.
Price! Who could argue with this. Getting preassembled cabinets cost 2-4 times as much.
There is not much to say about good looking cabinets which are very solid and not fiberboard or compressed wood *shudders*. If it weren't for some minor issues it would be a short review!
Keep in mind, its human nature to complain more thoroughly than to compliment something thoroughly at times, as you have to resolve the issues yourself or work around them in odd ways.
The Bad
1) Some L Brackets poorly placed. This was infuriating at times. If the L Brackets were off by a bit, they would either make it very difficult for the sides to get into the grooves or worse cause the brackets to pop off. If they were off by a little, you could just use a rubber mallet to "gently" persuade it into the groove and to click in. For the ones that were angled quite badly and you didnt notice, you would get a pop-out of the bracket the the L goes into. Some of the L brackets were off by a half cm, which would require some additional work. In this case, I would just drill two holes in the L bracket and make it flush to the grove(required to rescrew it in the new holes. This was the biggest issue. And needs a bit of work in the QA department. But again that was my experience.
2. The second issue was bowing of certain sections. This required some weights or clamps to get straightened out. This is minor and to be slight expectation with any wood product(Mostly the backs)
3. Instructions severely lacking for the corner cabinets. The corners were the worst to assemble based on the instructions given. Go online and youtube some videos. The base cabinets have detailed instructions on the their website but don't have the corner at the time of this review.
4. Rare- Some blemishes on the cabinets- Very minor and not noticeable. Your going to find this on any cabinet even custom ones so don't worry. Figured I'd mention it anyway.
After assembling all the cabinets and installing them, they make you forget about any troubles. Plus the support staff helps quite a bit, and I can be quite annoying at times. Any issues that i've had or questions they answer promptly or address the issues by sending parts.
Even with all these issues I would rate this at 4.5.
The biggest change I would like to see is better Quality Control on the bracket placement but this is simple to resolve with some tools that you should have while assembling cabinets(drill bits for wood and metal) and wood glue.

not bad
I think the cabinets were asthetically as good as any custom barring a couple of finish issues but for the price I didn't expect perfection. While the faces and interior finish was great and solid would certainly is a bonus over many "stock" cabinets. The solid wood is pretty thin. The locking mechanisms for assembly questionable over the long term, we'll see. Having to do cut outs where the locking cams were in the way and moving them will take some tools and knowledge. See in the locking cams from underneath on wall cabinets wasn't what I expected but it is not terrible. Positives, price price price. They are worth watching you pay and more. The cabinet hinges while seemingly cheap actually adjust well and work great. The drawer slides weigh a lot but they are simple to install, work very nice, and could be bomb proof. The dace frame and are as nice as anything you would get from a custom shop, I did have drips in the finish so I would recommend the repair kit. Try should just throw it in because it is impossible to matxh, my color choice, with any standard stain. I was preparing to sell my house and these were an awesome fit. If I was to be building a new house or wanting to remodel for the long term invesent I would go with custom cabinets. Only time will tell if I am wrong and I look forward to see them last. Last note, shipping was fast and easy. Assembly is a snap and very quick, my 13 year old daughter put on together without reading the instructions ( which do suck). Customer service, I would give them a 3/5. They didn't respond to emails right away and it took a follow up call but they resolves my issues to my satisfaction without argument. Good company, great product for the price.

Kitchen Island
I LOVE my new kitchen Island. The quality of the cabinets are #1. My biggest downfall was the all of the duty that I had to pay as everything came in separate boxes.

Corina, we know how you feel. NAFTA really changed trading goods between Canada and America. The good news is that there's still plenty of savings you'll enjoy when purchasing from us... We ship that way all of the the time!
Thanks for the compliments!
