Great product. Even better customer service!

I've had my Loftie for a few years now. My first clock got glitchier and glitchier until one night it woke me (and literally everyone in my home) up in the middle of the night with a noise that can only be described as a primal screeching at max volume. I still don't understand how or why this happened but I have seen multiple other people online report this harrowing experience. I reached out to them immediately and they sent me a replacement. It worked for a while, and then the second one started to get glitchy as well. Nothing as severe as the first time, but it would make popping noises in the middle of playing ambient noise which was not relaxing to say the least, completely stopped allowing me to use the bluetooth feature so I could play music from my phone, and then most recently refused to connect to my network after 2+ years with no issues and I completely lost the ability to set/edit alarms from my phone at all. When I reached out to support about the bluetooth issue, I got connected to the most useless AI I have ever had to interact with (and they have all been fairly useless). While it was walking me through troubleshooting steps, it was continuously hallucinating facts about the product and literally multiple times suggested I hold down buttons that do not exist. Then it completely stopped replying to me. Getting ghosted by an automated chatbot was definitely a new one. When I reached out about my latest connectivity issue this week, I attempted probably at least 10 times to reset my clock and get back online and it just didn't work at all. Loftie support confirmed (without expanding on how they came to this conclusion...) that the issue was on their side and again offered me a replacement clock, which I declined. (Fool me once etc. etc.) I am genuinely super bummed to be saying goodbye to Loftie because I loved the idea of an alarm clock that woke me up in phases, had brown noise built in, had a light, and could be used as a speaker. But the fact that I paid $130 (on sale!!!) for a product that was so glitchy and never seemed to receive any fixes despite CONSTANTLY requiring software updates is just completely ridiculous.

Customer service is excellent. Easy to reach via email, prompt to respond, keeps me updated on the status and provides the requested information clearly and quickly.

This review is based on set-up of the Loftie alarm clock. So far, I expect the actual use of it to be ok. Set-up was not ok. It took an email to customer service (which was returned quickly) to find-out that location has to be turned-on and not to Bluetooth pair phone with alarm clock. After these added steps, set-up worked ok. I don't like that it requires location permission. I know this is a Google issue with Bluetooth access potentially giving location information but I don't know why Google and Loftie require access to GPS location to use Bluetooth. In any case, now the alarm clock is set-up and the app seems to work with all permissions turned-off.

I initially had some trouble setting up my Loftie clock. However, I had barely hit SEND on my mail to their support team before I got a reply. They quickly got around to helping me, finding and resolving the issue preventing me from setting up my Loftie. They truly seem to care about their customers which, on top of the Loftie being an amazing product, is why I wholeheartedly recommend a Loftie clock.

Very helpful. Replaced my loftie clock after it stopped working after more than two years. Love my loftie clock!
