I am filing this complaint regarding a fragrance oil purchase from this company that resulted in a significant financial loss due to mislabeling and lack of quality control, followed by a refusal to take accountability. Months after receiving my order, I discovered that the fragrance oils inside the bottles do not match the labels. These oils were purchased in good faith for professional use, with the reasonable expectation that the contents would accurately reflect the labeling. On February 3,2026 approximately 8:37 AM, I contacted customer service to report the issue. I was told that nothing could be done and, most concerning, that the company could not guarantee that any replacement would be correct. This response made it clear that there is no reliable system in place to ensure product accuracy. I am now left with five (5) 16-fl-oz bottles of unusable fragrance oil. These items were expensive, including shipping, and represent a substantial loss. I still have the bottles and am willing to return them or allow testing to verify that the contents do not match the labels. However, the company declined to investigate or offer any reasonable resolution. This situation reflects misrepresentation of goods and a failure to provide basic customer protections. I am submitting this complaint because direct communication with the company did not result in accountability or corrective action.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We’re very sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been and understand why this situation would be upsetting, especially when the products were purchased for professional use. We do want to clarify that we have robust quality control and labeling procedures in place to ensure the fragrance listed on the label is the fragrance inside the bottle at the time of shipment. However, we’re unable to accept returns or investigate discrepancies after products have been in a customer’s possession for an extended period of time, as this is part of our quality and safety standards. Fragrance perception can vary significantly based on factors such as how it’s evaluated (in-bottle vs. on a scent strip or in an application), surrounding scents, and individual sensitivity. That variability can sometimes create the impression that a fragrance differs from expectations, even when the product itself is correct. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and regret that we weren’t able to reach a resolution that met your expectations. Your feedback has been documented and shared internally for review. -The Bulk Apothecary Team
