This was the worst mental health provider experience I have ever had. The first provider I requested canceled on me 2 hours before our session. The second provider and I were not a personality match at all, it was the most cold and impersonal medical experience I have ever encountered (and this platform specializes in mental health). I cancelled my service and deleted the app. I will not use them moving forward

My therapist is great. Not just because she is friendly but because her demeanor comes across to me as helpful and caring. I cannot say enough of how great I think she is

I love Brightside. It's easy to get into an appointment to see psych. They listen and get meds sent quickly to the pharmacy. There are several follow ups between appointments to check on you. I have been struggling to find mental health care in my area.

Speaking with Chantel was a good experience. She was great at listening to me and giving me sound advice. I unfortunately lost my insurance so I had to cancel my time with her, but I would recommend her.

As a first time psychiatry patient, 2 of the 3 psychiatrists I worked with were amazing. The only one I had an issue with made me feel like an idiot for not understanding what she meant when she asked me what my symptoms were, and then proceeded to get frustrated with me when I didn’t tell her exactly what she wanted. This resulted in me being prescribed meds that were not actually what I needed. The first “therapy” provider I worked with didn’t provide any support specific to my situation. Just kind of generic platitudes. When discussing a trauma that happened with a family member, he told me that “surely they weren’t that bad” and to “give them the benefit of the doubt”. So. That wasn’t helpful. My second therapy provider was nice, but I think she was new. I would talk about the current issue in detail, then received a response that felt like she was following a “Therapy:101” lesson plan. Like, yes, I guess that’s technically therapy but that wasn’t support that was tailored to my real world situation. Then, when asking for a refund following services that weren’t what was advertised, their support team was unkind and rigid. Overall, it doesn’t feel like the company as a whole gives a shit about the people that need help. Just offering a money making service, with providers and who may or may not be qualified, to people that just want help surviving day to day. Spend your money elsewhere. I wish I did.

My counselor listens and advises well. She is becoming a friend. I really like her calmness and demeanor.
