I signed up with Breezeline yesterday, to save money on internet, but kept my landline with Spectrum. While he was here, the installer disconnected the phone line without telling me, and I only discovered later that my phone was dead. I think he knew he had done it, because at one point he remarked to my husband that we had not chosen to bundle our phone when we signed up. My husband affirmed that yes, we were keeping the phone with Spectrum. When I realised later that night that we had lost phone service and figured out why, I contacted customer service. Unlike Spectrum, while Breezeline CLAIMS to have 24/7 customer service, which may technically be true, in practice, it is not that simple. After nine pm, what they give you is a chat box with an extended wait. For an hour I had to sit there watching the chat box for a human being, who finally appeared some time after ten. Enter Abongo. I immediately pushed “send” and provided him with a detailed description of what had happened, and a request that they send someone out the following morning to restore my phone service—i.e., reconnect the line they had disconnected without my authorization. I finished by adding “I could not sign in to the web page because you can't verify via phone with my phone disconnected.” I have no idea what foreign country Breezeline farms out its customer service to, but Abongo’s English comprehension was compromised, because after reading everything I wrote, he sent the following: “Abongo: Thank you, I have sent you a text message, please confirm the verification code.” I explained very patiently (in all caps!) that you cannot text a landline, and furthermore, you cannot text a line that has been disconnected. Duh! (The duh was unspoken, but fervently felt.) I had already given every other piece of information needed to identify me. I just could not receive the code he had sent to my disconnected landline. There was zero comprehension on Abongo’s end. Abongo said that they were not allowed to reconnect another company’s equipment, and that I would have to pay Spectrum to do it. I pointed out quite logically that they had no problem DISCONNNECTING the Spectrum equipment, so obviously they could reconnect it if they wanted to. Again, lack of comprehension. This was on Friday night, with a long weekend coming up, and now we had no landline for three days. So, having finally reached a customer service rep, I was out of luck, and after I told Abongo that the review was not going to be pretty, he hung up on me—i.e., closed the chat box. I was still paying for my internet and phone service from Spectrum at that point, and quickly connected with a live human being at Spectrum via my husband’s cell phone, which I do use in emergencies, although I greatly prefer and rely on my landline, and it was the landline number that Breezeline had on file, and therefore could not text. Abongo didn’t know we even had a cell phone, and was perfectly content to leave two very old people alone for three days without the means to communicate in case of emergency. So much for Breezeline customer service. Keep in mind I could not even sign into the web page, without the ability to receive a code on the landline (via call, not text.) I reached Spectrum immediately, and the lady was gracious, helpful, very friendly, and totally understanding of the situation. She offered to get a guy out as soon as possible on Monday, despite the holiday, signing us up for the first appointment of the day—and she also shaved sixty five dollars off our monthly bill, so that I could afford to tell Breezeline to take a hike, which I intend to do as soon as my phone is hooked back up and the Spectrum technician can transfer all the internet equipment back to Spectrum. Meanwhile I do without the phone for three days because Breezeline couldn’t be bothered. The icing on the cake? Spectrum intends to bill Breezeline for the service call. Joy! I am a happy camper. Now, how do we compare Breezeline and Spectrum? Well, my own standard is based not on whether a company makes a mistake. We all make mistakes. It is on how they handle things AFTER they make the mistake. Breezeline failed spectacularly in spite of being responsible for the problem, and Spectrum stepped up to the plate and handled the crisis even though they had no part in creating it. I vote Spectrum. UPDATE: Spectrum was here--turns out my phone was disconnected because the Breezeline technician USED THE SPECTRUM LINE TO CONNECT THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT!!! The very line they were "not allowed to touch" in order to reconnect my phone. The whole reason we had to have them come out in the first place was because we could not simply switch out the modem, as we had to have an active Spectrum line for the phone. Lazy, or dishonest, or both? You decide.

The call to Breezeline was very easy. Talked to an agent who was very willing to assist me. He was polite and knowledgeable and walked with me step by step to set up my service.

Have never been on phone with customer service for less than 45 mins I ACTUALLY HAVE NO INTERNET BECAUSE I CANCELED IT, TOO FRUSTRATING. COMPANY IS A JOKE

Customer service is basically non existent. You better plan a full day of being on hold if you need to contact them. Last time I was on hold for 4 hours and they didn't even fix the problem.. now this time I'm currently on hold for 2 hours and haven't even spoken to anybody yet

Our technician, Kevin, was the bomb! He called me twice before coming when I missed the first call. He was polite, respectful, and thorough and he completed the job quickly which I appreciated due to the busy day I was having!

The Tech was on time and resolved my problem with the modem in short order. Courteous ,knowledgeable, efficient , 3 important qualities he had. Thoes qualities should be attained for any Tech, CSR & Sales person representing a company. Sadly it's not experienced as much as when I started in the work force 63 years ago.
