After extensive research, we chose Bon!!!
We purchased a Bon Pergola after searching both locally and on the web for all the options to cover our 15’ x 24’ back patio. The rear of the house faces south here in North Carolina so we have full sun ALL day, all year. Aside from wanting some shade to enjoy our back yard (overlooking the 18th hole on our golf course), we wanted to reduce the solar gain in the south facing room. The Villa Pergola 2.0 (19 x 13 freestanding) fit the bill perfectly both in size and with a surprisingly low cost compared to other quotes we got. After obtaining all the permits from the HOA and the County, we ordered it with extended 9’ posts in white. It came surprisingly fast from California to North Carolina and was delivered professionally to our home with care. My son and I built and installed the pergola in under 6 hours. We did need a 3rd helper to raise the 19’ beams and my wife unpacked all the parts while we worked…so I guess it would be 4 people if I’m being honest. The pergola was manufactured incredibly precise, the instructions were impeccably accurate and easy to understand, all the parts fit perfectly and the finish did not scratch or get damaged at all during assembly. My wife and I were very impressed with how carefully everything was packed and the quality of the pergola. Once completed and installed I was able to then construct the barbecue island I planned to encompass one corner. We love and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bon Pergola for anyone considering a purchase like this.
